  1. Lol. I've spent countless nights eating at Gecko's. Mostly because it's the ONLY place to eat right by the hotel I stay at for work. Decent little spot.
  2. Yeah, I get what you mean. I think the use of the word love in the context of a coffee shop is vastly different when using it to describe your feelings for another person. Using that word in a locker room setting is difficult, it makes people vulnerable. These guys don't like being vulnerable... making them that way around each other is difficult... but once it is done... well you've seen the results first hand here in Buffalo. It can really create something special. I'm sure you remember when McDermott had them up infront of the entire team sharing their personal stories... that's not a little throw away thing. That stuff is raw emotion... pure vulnerability. It's just stuff we aren't privy to. Daboll's interview here is a good indicator of what it's like in that facility and how those guys behave around each other.
  3. Pretty cool interview. The raw emotions and feelings are great, easily the single thing I love the most about this team. Everything is genuine. As much as everyone gives McDermott crap, he’s installed something like this. That word love has serious meaning there. He said in 2017 he was building the team, the culture, the organization on LOVE. Then you hear one of his top lieutenants preaching that in a candid interview. It’s not just lip service people. The behavior, the attitude, the people... they’re all an extension of what McDermott is putting in place. Don’t let his steady hand fool you... he’s not dumb... he knows EXACTLY what he is doing.
  4. 21 years old and emotional on stage during easily the biggest moment of his life. Came from what sounds like less than ideal circumstances. Did he handle himself like a model draft pick? No. Should he be made fun of for his behavior on an emotional day? No. People react to emotional moments in different ways. He didn’t do anything wrong.
  5. If I had a dollar for every disrespectful troll on this board, I’d be rich. Point being, get a new schtick, you’re not the only one who can be rude and miserable. Plenty of others have it covered at this point.
  6. I think it’s already pre-selected. You have to choose a larger amount. Just fill in your information and it should work!
  7. Love it! Me too. The Zubaz button was a great touch... man, I’m so proud to be a Bills fan.
  8. They do have this. Every professional sports team that operates in a league where replay challenges exist, has someone who fills this role. It may not be in the job title, but there is someone with the responsibilities included in their job description. The issue is the consistency of the league IMO. Look at the other thread today about the Marcus Peters interception. It doesn’t even make sense anymore.
  9. I mean part of it is you have absolutely no idea what the referees are going to come up with as an answer. Nothing is clear. We could’ve challenged the play today and the call could’ve been a TD. Next week we’d challenge the same call and it would be out at the 1. It’s so inconsistent. It has nothing to do with what they think, it starts to become what do the refs think. I’m sure they felt 1st and Goal at the 2 wasn’t worth potentially losing a challenge and timeout at that point in the game.
  10. Every team employs someone in this role
  11. Miami isn’t going away...
  12. Definitely the one where he hit Diggs on I believe 2nd and 20 where Diggs was interfered with and the ball came incomplete when he hit the ground. Inaccuracy if I’ve ever seen it.
  13. Six words into my post I tell you where I came across the statement that Hackett is a candidate. I will include multiple links from other sources here as well. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2916046-falcons-reportedly-interested-in-packers-oc-nathaniel-hackett-to-be-head-coach https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/falcons-head-coach-search-atlanta-has-interest-in-packers-offensive-coordinator-nathaniel-hackett/ https://www.thefalcoholic.com/2020/11/1/21544612/falcons-coaching-rumors-team-interested-in-packers-oc-nathaniel-hackett-chiefs-oc-eric-bieniemy
  14. Well, I think Nate Hackett being a candidate at least gives Daboll a decent chance of being one as well.
  15. I was just scrolling through NFL Trade Rumors and saw that the Atlanta Falcons have Eric Bieniemy on their list of potential HC candidates. The other name specifically mentioned was Nathaniel Hackett. I was extremely shocked to see this. Floored, really. Hackett wasn’t very good at Syracuse. Came to Buffalo with Marrone, wasn’t very good here either. Followed Marrone to Jacksonville and wasn’t good, but was used as a scapegoat for Marrone. Now he’s in Green Bay, which is the LaFluer/Rodgers show... but somehow he’s getting HC looks based on that? Yikes. I will never fully understand NFL hiring practices...
  16. NO! Beane is just incompetent!
  17. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2020/3/22/21188079/listing-former-carolina-panthers-brandon-beane-has-brought-to-the-buffalo-bills-star-lotulelei Still really not sure why everyone gets so bent out of shape about this. There have been 20 players in 4 years... most of them depth players that do not stick around particularly long. The majority of the players that have been brought over from Carolina are gone now... Dean Marlowe (left and came back this year) and Star are the only two players from years 1-3 still remaining in the organization. Folks need to learn how to differentiate a depth signing from an impact signing... it's almost embarrassing at this point.
  18. Sounds like a great way for everything to blow up. Ownership publicly calling out the coach and players about their performance... that would make Buffalo seem like they have their stuff together. I'll continue to say this... thank God you're not in charge of people. There would be an uprising the likes of which the world has never seen.
  19. They don't have a defensive coordinator. Stephen Belichick is the defacto defensive coordinator. After Patricia left, I'm pretty sure he didn't name a new DC. Flores was safeties coach, then LB coach and then remained LB coach and started calling defensive plays without the DC title. I believe Stephen was involved as well at the time. Now he's following that same path... LB coach while also calling plays on defense with no actual DC. EDIT: Belichick has been calling plays since last season... so after Flores left.
  20. Yeah, you might have had an argument until you started talking. Woof. Minshew just got benched with no promise of him returning as the starter. Drew Lock? Have you actually watched Kyler play QB? If we waited 4 years to take a QB you’d be the first to cry about it, so Burrow and Herbert were never in the mix. Come on, man.
  21. That’s not what I was saying... I’m not trying to argue here. What you’re telling me is different than what I’ve been told from others... I’m trying to learn. Njoku dropped 3/35 in 2017 Njoku dropped 8/64 in 2018 (#1 TE drop rate) Njoku dropped 2/7 in 2019 That’s 13 in his career prior to this season. You told me he only had 8 total. That’s from the link to the article included. That drop was from yesterday and was sent over. That’s all. I’m not arguing Knox doesn’t drop the football...
  22. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cleveland.com/browns/2020/08/david-njoku-needs-to-drop-fewer-passes-and-te-coach-drew-petzing-is-working-on-it.html%3foutputType=amp I should have included what they sent me to illustrate their points. It looks like your drop numbers are off... that 8 drops numbers he had was from one season.
  23. What specifically is it about Njoku that you like? I’ve got a lot of friends who are Cleveland fans and they say he has a worse case of drops than Knox.
  24. I got it. Needs to be overly flashy is a qualification for a good HC. I can agree with a majority of those guys are ahead of McDermott . Harbaugh, Reid, Tomlin, Payton, Carroll, Belichick, Pederson, Shannahan, Vrabel. McVay is interesting to me. After taking the NFL by storm things have been up and down. I guess once you get the reputation of an early riser you can sleep until noon. Or is it because his wife is hot and he has cool hair that’s he’s a good coach? I’m not sure what Kingsbury, Rhule, Reich, LaFluer or Flores have really shown that would make me jump at them over McDermott. I mean Rhule, Reich and Flores are basically a similar quantity. Faith based, culture based, etc. I like them a lot. Although if you don’t like McDermott’s style then you can’t like Rhule’s his a cross between McDermott and a preacher. Ultimately I’ve got Sean in the 10-13 range... with all of those guys in the second paragraph and McVay ahead of him. If you think you can upgrade on that, let me know where you’d find them... We’re not getting any of those guys... any NFL OC/DC you think would be better than Sean? College coaches?
