  1. GOOD POST. JP IS GOING TO BE FINE FOLKS!!!!!! Those advocating Holcomb showed their short sighted, panic laden thinking. There is only one Roethlisberger out there, and we don't have him. Give JP a bit of time, he has the stuff of an NFL winner. But he needs to play!
  2. TD already locked up McGee.
  3. Can I get a source or link please?
  4. So having a better shot at a 6-10 season rather than a 5-11 one justifies sitting a guy that we spent heavily for? Sorry, I don't think so. MM was playing for his job rather than for the longer term health of the franchise. I don't like it.
  5. It's gonna take a lot more than McGahee and a 3rd! But I wouldn't mind parting with Willis' casual attitude.
  6. It is clear that Ralph feels he's not been given the whole story by TD, or at least that he can't depend on the accuracy and wisdom of what TD says. So, he is seeking MM's thoughts on what the team needs. It is smart to seek other opinions from different employees (you are paying them anyway, why not ask them questions and see what kind of insights they can provide you?) Make no mistake, it's also nothing less than a job interview for MM. If he has no answers, no plan, it will make Ralph think twice about letting him coach out his contract. From his comments, Ralph has obviously decided to become more directly involved in the running of the team. I would not be surprised if Ralph's "changed structure" involves him taking back the President title for himself to ensure that he has more daily involvement in personnel decisions.
  7. Yes, except protect Holcomb's blind side when the game was on the line. John Abraham ran right around Gandy to end the game. If we hope to be better, we NEED more athleticism out of the LT and Peters has the potential to be that guy - much more so than Gandy.
  8. It is horrific but what else can they show that's better?
  9. Dang, I thought you were saying some disgruntled teammate finally got fed up with Flutie's overinflated ego and drop kicked him through the uprights. Oh well.....
  10. My takes: Holcomb is OK as INSURANCE (backup) only. Shaud Williams - a tackle magnet Vincent/Milloy - over the hill gang, way overpaid Coy Wire - enough said Mike Williams - he can stay at reduced salary as long as Peters can play left tackle (Peters needs to be on the field)
  11. Well, at least we have the QB question answered going into 2006....
  12. Exactly! Anyone who thinks otherwise is a very shallow observer of the game.
  13. Wait a minute. Didn't MM just get done beating Marvin on his home field?
  14. I don't like this, but I agree that these are the most plausible scenarios.
  15. What's the source for this?
  16. Josh Reed is actually the #3 WR, with Parrish as the #4. Nice to know we spent our 2nd round pick last year on a #4 receiver.
  17. Truer words were never spoken. I hate our TE's. Well, at least we have Everett waiting in the wings....oh yeah, I forgot, he's a project.
  18. Like your support means anything? Let's be clear, we are beggars, not choosers here. We'll take whoever we freaking get, and be ecstatic about the Bills not leaving.
  19. Look out for those pesky "bombfires".
  20. Yes. And what has he built elsewhere (Stanford or the Lions)? Hear the crickets chirping.......
  21. I like JP, unfortunately he has no OL in front of him. He will be good eventually.
  22. Exactly. Any GM willing to keep MM for another year isn't worthy of the job.
  23. I thought I've heard every possible criticism of Donahoe, but "puritanical"? So you want a GM that, what, more "liberal"?
  24. JP will be just fine. What espn or anybody else says is irrelevant.
