  1. But my question is, did Gaughn's move create the opening for Carucci, or did the move to Carucci push Gaughn down to the college ranks? We may never know.
  2. Outstanding. Back where he belongs!
  3. Unless you have kids. Who may also have kids someday. As painful as it has been to be a Bills fan, I think it's cool to pass on the legacy of Bills football to the next generation.
  4. Wait, you write a post about Eli Manning then say you don't think he deserves "a Manning type contract"? Care to explain?
  5. Agree, and posted this in another thread. I see him really struggling with the new rules.
  6. And promptly cut him after "Bengals week".
  7. Many good points made here, and it's refreshing to talk about other aspects of the team besides QB. The ownership thing is critical of course and is truly #1 but my point here was to address on-field "worries". As others have stated, LB coverage in the passing game is another one that bothers me. Spikes has been decent so far IMO, but how long until he;'s exposed? I think the coaches like how Preston Brown can run, but with just a few practices under his belt at SLB is he able to just go out and play without thinking too much and being mechanical? Yikes. Thought I recalled hearing when Spikes first arrived that he'd play 3 downs "until he proves he can't". Maybe they'll insert Ty Powell in passing situations if Spikes proves early he can't cover. I have heard Marrone rave about Ty Powell a few times during this offseason.
  8. I'm tired of all the EJ talk. I actually think he will pleasantly surprise people this year. But I am interested to hear your concerns about other areas of the team. My big concern happens to be, I worry about a serious drop off from Stephon Gilmore this year. I fear that the new rule changes will hinder the physicality that was his strong suit. Also concerned with the fact that this O-line has had such little time together. Marrone has downplayed the importance of continuity during camp, saying it's more important to find the best 5. We shall see.
  9. Apathetic to the Texans, although I enjoy when they lose. Even more so with the Cowboys.
  10. I think you should be the GM, because in your world everything nicely and easily falls into place. Every deal you want to make, the guy on the other end of the phone gives you exactly what you asked for immediately. Every free agent you call tells you they've been waiting to hear from you. It must be great to have the whole world bend to your will. I wish we had a GM that had such abilities. Clearly you do.
  11. Slimy post Vegas. This as his trust is scaring away bidders left and right at the expense of their estate by rigging the game so the team stays in Buffalo and your sorry a** can watch the home town team on TV.
  12. Regardless of how EJ plays. Got it. Happy trolling.
  13. When I think of Chandler I think "lumbering oaf".
  14. Nice job. Surprising to me that Lee Smith is 6'6".
  15. For the opener on Sunday, I miss the butterflies at kickoff. For the home opener, it's the entire weekend - seeing other Bills fans in airports (last year met Jerry Hughes' dad while getting on the plane), landing in Buf, deciding where to get pizza and wings, Labatts, 97 Rock on the car radio, waking up early the next day and making the drive down Southwestern, pulling into the tailgate, walking through the tunnel and seeing the field, singing the Shout song.
  16. I'll go with the Al Davis answer - just win, baby.
  17. I'm all in. But then again I also have an Edwards jersey and a Fitz (which I just turned into a Watkins). So I'm not the most discriminating judge of QB talent.
  18. Agree with your first point. As for Houston, I consider it a place to make a decent living but it's not really "home". Already making plans to move back up somewhere in the southtowns after I retire - possibly Ellicottville.
  19. Not sure I get your point, but I'm sure you mean well.
  20. Actually, he just relayed that his coaches told him he did a good job.
