  1. There's one in every thread. So, all the receivers have it wrong and you're right? Really?
  2. Please tell me these photos are fakes.
  3. No, EJ's benching alone does not (and should not) make Whaley look bad. The final record is much more determinative. Besides, I don't think EJ's career is over by a long shot. Well said.
  4. I really liked his appearance on the John Murphy show where, when asked about the D's performance to date, he said "I'm not impressed". Maybe the kid is growing up.
  5. What were those reports? I read a BB.com article where Hackett is quoted as saying he was not consulted, but that's not the same as reporting that Marrone was not consulted. Do you have a link to that? I'd enjoy reading that.
  6. Fans with a short term view may find this damning, but I don't think EJ's story has been fully written yet. And Whaley has made a number of good moves. I expect the Bills to finish over .500 and if they do, Whaley stays.
  7. Would not be surprised if they sit both players this Sunday regardless of the MRI results, in an effort to reload against the Pats*.
  8. ^^ agree with all of this. ^^
  9. I'm on board but I also think this week will tell a lot. The Chargers developed the blueprint for how to beat Manuel - pressure him up the middle and get him moving/panicking. Now it's up to the coaches and EJ to be able to counter that. Can he stand in the pocket and make throws under pressure, and can he be quicker at deciding to pull it down and run when he needs to? If you watch Russell Wilson play, you notice how incredibly decisive he is about what each play offer him. He makes quick decisions and acts quickly on them. I wish I saw that level of decisiveness and then quickness out of EJ. I'd like to see more of this.
  10. So true. But hey, this thread is different from all the other anti-EJ rants because it's AFTER the review of the game film. No extra charge for the film-based analysis of EJ's play.
  11. The day after the opener I ran into Marv at the airport. He was very gracious and signed autographs and posed for a few photos. He went to sign a guy's hat, and in the process dropped his boarding pass. When the guy picked up Marv's pass for him, he said "thanks for recovering my fumble" without missing a beat. I was able to get a photo with him and we sat across the aisle from him on the ride to Chicago. He and his wife are very nice, humble, unassuming people.
  12. Can't make the game but I'll be at Christian's Saturday night.
  13. Agree with you USMC. Most likely the Bills are wrestling with the fact that they've already sold that time and space on the scoreboard. To give fans what they want, they'd have to rework the advertising deals they've already committed to.
  14. I've been able to do it 3 times, most recently last week. Always a blast. In my experience, standing just to the left of the Bills' bench (facing the field) is a good place to be. Under Chan, that's where the LBs used to warm up. Now its the RBs and WRs. Freddie and CJ came over and shook hands with fans at the rope line there. Have fun!
  15. Sorry to hear that E. Saying a prayer for his speedy recovery.
  16. I wonder if any of the people waiting at Gate 2 considered that, had they stopped tailgating a bit sooner, they might not have missed anything. I realize that personal responsibility isn't in vogue these days, but it does play a role here.
  17. They've only worn the standing Buffalo helmet with throwback jerseys. So this week's helmet will be the charging Buffalo.
  18. Goodell isn't going anywhere.
  19. I wouldn't be shocked if he made ROY or even Pro Bowl this year. Talent + work ethic = stardom.
  20. I agree. Hackett had way too much on his plate last year, not even counting the fact that he had to get 3 different QBs prepared to start games. Kudos to the Bills for ponying up the bucks to pay what's likely a pretty hefty salary for Hostler's services.
  21. All is right in Pegulaville. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/09/16/nfl-buffalo-bills-terry-kim-pegula-new-owners/
