  1. Planning to catch a Sabres game before the end of the season. I'm a bit of a seat snob, so I was hoping to get some opinions on what's the best seats for a Sabres game. I assume section 105 behind the benches is good, but what row gives the best perspective? Appreciate hearing everyone's thoughts.
  2. This post reveals to me that you're more insightful than your earlier posts led me to believe. I was ready to write you off based on some of your earlier debating with Kirby, but maybe I was misreading. By all means, take the above as a compliment. It's clear that maximizing revenue is the predominant driver of the path chosen. But since the Pegulas appear to be highly mindful about maintaining good PR, whichever path is chosen will have to be one that the Pegulas are 100% comfortable with selling to their customers. It will be interesting to see how they attempt to thread the needle.
  3. Banner's statement about the capacity of a new stadium assumes that by limiting supply, you increase demand and yield a revenue increase as a result. That makes sense in a larger market but not sure how well that theory applies to Buffalo. Brandon has repeatedly said that the Bills are a volume business. Is that paradigm driven by the large stadium, or by the composition of the market, or both? I trust Brandon far more than an outsider like Banner to find the sweet spot for the Pegulas.
  4. Blake > Dauber (aka Jeff Weeks)
  5. I hope they don't go with Dunbar's assiatant, Jeff Weeks. In "Collision Low Crossers", Weeks was described as being one of Rex's buddies, almost a comic figure that wasn't well respected due to his suspect work ethic.
  6. Looking for some intel on the Bills draft party, I believe they hold it in the field house. Is it worth the ride over? In past years it was out of the question with my being in Houston but with last year's move to Pittsburgh it's much closer. Any descriptions/opinions would be appreciated, thanks.
  7. Ok that's just terrifying. Rob was forced out of NOLA in large part because he was routinely late getting his calls in. If he's the communication answer then I hope he's done something that the Ryans aren't exactly known for, which is admitting weaknesses and fixing them instead of doubling down by conducting business as usual.
  8. No offense but the "grind" you went through probably didn't involve Tempo or being put up at the nicest hotel in town. I don't think NFL players view shopping themselves around quite the same way you or I would.
  9. Are there stats indicating that secondary market sales have increased in recent years? Maybe it's just that people are buying in to the idea that the team's staying.
  10. Interesting thought there. If I'm Whaley I pick Greg Roman's brain about what caused Kaep's game to decline, how likely is it that the same thing happens to TT and, what if anything can be done to prevent that from happening?
  11. As waiver wire acquisitions on the league minimum, cap savings are negligible.
  12. Cops may have abused badges. Shocked.
  13. I'm on the 10 yard line, 25 rows up from the field, and twice this past year I saw fans vomit right in the row. One could be chalked up to a rookie fan, but the other was a 60+ year old who comes every week and should know better. Is game day better when you throw up?
  14. Any difference between how Bills and Pats* fans react to their players' off field problems can be explained by this: For years Pats* fans have watched repeated division titles and Super Bowls, we've watch serial mediocrity. Repeated bad outcomes wears on a fan base and fuels discontent. We are no better or worse people, just battered.
  15. Well it's nice that the players are being gracious about it.
  16. I'm the opposite of this. I bought seasons and club seats while out of town to support the team and, in a small way, help keep it viable. But now that Pegula is locked in, I'm going to drop my clubs when my 3 year commitment expires.
  17. Not sure what amazes me more, this fact, or the idea that people track it.
  18. Personally I see a lot to be concerned about with 2 Ryans running our defense. Both brothers have had documented problems getting their players ready to play at the snap, so which one will be a check on the other?
  19. So in your mind the selection of Rex is squarely on Whaley and not on Terry, Kim, Russ or some combination thereof?
  20. Clearly they need a safety who can run Rex's defense authoritatively, the way Jim Leonard used to. If the rumor is true about Reed, he might be a good choice to help teach it.
  21. Your sanity and rationality is appreciated. Hopefully it stems the tide of dumb.
  22. Even with the existence of a waiting list?
