The Thanksgiving Day game against Dallas in 2019. My wife was in the hospital but me and my son went to my parents for dinner to keep the tradition alive for him. I dvrd the game and sat down to watch the game around 9pm. Almost got to half time before my sister texted to see how my wife was doing. I am also pretty concerned about the amount of people that don't believe this is a big deal. My Aunt passed away very unexpectedly a few weeks ago and her funeral was yesterday. Probably 150ish people attended ( many more called and said they were staying away). If it wasn't family I most certainly would not have gone. I actually floated the idea of putting it on hold until this summer but if it was one.of my parents I wouldnt have felt the same way. I've kind of talked myself into an edge rusher if one of the top guys is there at 22. If not, trade back and get WR, RB, DE in rounds 2 and 3. Lots of depth at those positions.

I have always had a weird fascination with Kobe Bryant's Career. I am 40 years old so when he was drafted at 18 straight out of high school I was 17. I can remember him being drafted like it was yesterday. I remember him going to the prom with Brandi. I remember him winning his 1st NBA title at 21 years of age while I was 20 and not at all an adult. I still can't imagine someone that age doing what he did. As Kobe aged, became a parent and grew into himself so did I. He was the first superstar that I got to watch his entire professional career. When the news hit yesterday for me it wasn't oh my God we lost a legend. It more, oh my God he was my age and I litterly watched him grow up and now he is gone. He can't be gone. As far as some people on here talking about his legal issues, today is not the day to be talking about this. I do however think it should be discussed when his legend is told. My wife is a sexual assault survivor. It has allowed me to look at these situations through a much different lens then I used to. No matter what he did or did not do to that young woman does not take away the fact that 9 people lost their lives way too early.

It's crazy that some people are saying this isn't a deserved honor. He was voted as a 1st Alternate. Meaning if someone gets hurt or doesn't want to play then he gets an invite. It's a very well deserved honor. Yes, he is nowhere near his celing which should scare the crap out of the league. He's 21, a pro bowler and still has a lot to learn. I'll take that all day ?.

I believe in Allen. The guy makes some bone head mistakes from time to time but he did show an overall improvement from last season. The guy also has the desire and will to not only get better but also to lead this team to victory. He has a little of that Brett Favre "Gun Slinger" in him. He always thinks he can do something to win the game. Oddly enough that's not something found in many QBs when they reach the NFL. It's also Allen's biggest flaw. He tends to do too much sometimes when not always needed. Hopefully he learns how to harness that a little. I believe the bills have their QB in Allen. Hopefully with continued improvement he can lead us to the promise Land ?.
