The skill level has never been better. There’s no shortage of talent. That said, there’s no wow factor watching a steady slew of 3 pointers and dunks. It’s not a big man game anymore. There’s a ridiculous amount of ticky tack fouls, refs don’t/can’t let them play. Superstars needing routine rest is a con. Too many good teams coast in games and the season. Their new “in season tournament” adds nothing, and I think is an admittance that there’s a problem. The NBA is not like MLB when it comes to having a variety of options to tweak the game for its betterment.

Did not know of the “sweet 16” plan. Would think yesterdays games hurt ratings and exposed the disparity. Also, wouldn’t more games means more head to head days with the NFL? Don’t know how good of an idea that was to begin with. Maybe the NCAA thinks yesterday was an anomaly.
