Was speaking more to the “evolution” of the game. Football use to have a flow to it. Now it’s a choppier longer game to view with all its stops and starts due to more substitutions, penalty excess, reviews, rule changes, etc. It’s saving grace is it hasn’t lost its flair for the dramatic.
Baseball wised up and addressed their dragged out product and added a couple tweaks to spice up the game. Basketball is not recognizable compared to its heyday years. Hockey? Got to be a diehard to watch, though, as seen last week, it has its opportunities to show how great the game can be, just not enough of them.
Like I said, just glad I got to watch them in the manner they were meant to be.
