  1. Maybe, but the change to the kick off rules makes that much more like a punt return thus the need. With Hardy gone it opened a spot for a primary PR late in the draft and they decided to go with Hardy. Fun to think that Keon could do it but I really doubt they want their top pick returning. Still good to have that skill in case the PR gets injured in a game.
  2. Not sure this was already posted. Tyler Dunn posted snipits from his scouts opinions on Coleman. Some good some bad. Comparisons to Tee Higgins and Anquan Boldin show there is a real path for Keon to succeed. “NFC scout: “Great body control. Unbelievable hands. Great understanding of defenses. Loves the game of football. Receivers that ran slow include Keenan Allen, Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, Davante Adams. He’s got as good if not better body control than those guys do. He just goes up and goes for it. This guy’s so talented as an athlete that he could have gone to Kansas and played basketball.”
  3. Everyone relax. National media is much higher than our fans. plus the Pats were trying to get him and the Bills snipped them (they traded down after)
  4. To be a bit optimistic both the Athletic and ESPN list Cortland Sutton as Colemans comp. All the sites I looked at have Coleman in the 7-10 range WR rankings so it wouldn't be a reach. I also expect the Bills to double dip at WR so a more twitchy player will also be added. Not saying it is my favorite WR idea but getting Coleman shouldn't be immediately dismissed as a bad pick.
  5. This is worded in a way that makes me think Buffalo is leaning to trade down a bit. (and to up the offers)
  6. Tony Pauline has Buffalo looking at Mitchell and Coleman but open to trading down.
  7. Bowers. Get in front of the Jets.
  8. If the Bills top 5 WRs are gone this could be the trade back partner. Moving 28 to 36 and getting a 3rd? seems sensible business.
  9. 2 bites of the apple draft theory. AD, Ladd, Leggett, Coleman, etc are in the same tear talented but each with a different flaw for me that dropping down to 45ish a couple WRs will be there pick up another 3rd and then use that on another WR to compliment the 1st pick. Like a Coleman paired with Burton. I have seen 4 separate mocks released in the past 24 hrs with BTJr dropping to 28 and Buffalo Being the auto pic. Too much group think to actually happen but guessing the medical reg flag and are pushing Worthy to WR 4 (Indy getting the buzz at 15). I can't see Beane being patient enough if Tomas Jr drops in the 20's to not trade up and secure the WR even if the mocks think it will happen.
  10. B. Albright just released his Mock Draft with what he’s hearing. Bills note “The Bills have made calls about moving up for a WR, but as of this writing I don't see that happening.” https://koacolorado.iheart.com/featured/koa-denver-broncos/content/2024-04-24-benjamin-allbright-2024-nfl-mock-draft/
  11. Charles Davis rumors 2 days out. biggest nugget is it may be Maye or bust for Minnesota to trade up and settling with Nix. On the WR for us. ”Unless Georgia’s Ladd McConkey or South Carolina’s Xavier Legette crashes the party, I think the first-round wide receiver group will be capped at five minimum and six maximum. That consists of Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr., LSU’s Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr., Washington’s Rome Odunze and Texas’ Xavier Worthy. A player teetering is Texas’ Adonai Mitchell, who has some more deeply split opinions than the other five.”
  12. McConkey is getting the injury label by missing games the past 2 years due to injury thus not showing the "ability to take big shots". This isn't a potential preventative narrative it is based off his history and being smaller than the other prospects that haven't missed time. Diggs and Harrison may be the similar size but have demonstrated they can avoid hits and not miss time. Injuries can be fluky so I am not saying Ladd will definitely get injured but hasn't shown that in college.
  13. Peter Schrager's rumors mock. Bit more G-Men going QB smoke.
  14. I seriously doubt the investigation would be wrapped up in the next 2 weeks and even more so result in a 1st round top 10 draft pick flop. I give Florio credit for stirring it up and getting clicks.
  15. SIAP: reading the MMQB Breer had a couple nuggets. 1. the Trade had been discussed for a month. 2. Texans were the only team offering a 2nd. (Read to me like no other team was close to a 2nd)
  16. Beane would need to fit that WR under the cap not impossible but need to be less than 10mil. Really that would only be Aiyuk in my mind since he's on his rookie contract but will be looking for 30ish Million per next year. There are a number of 1 WR types going to be FA next year too. Bill's have Diggs money next year to use on a FA then so they could easily fill then need then if the rookie this year doesn't work. The quandary is, trade up giving #28 and next years late 1st for cost controlled big 3 or trade for Aiyuk with #28 and pay top of the market the next 4 years. It is hard to pay top dollar to your WR and QB on offense and I suspect BB would prefer having a WR on their Rookie contract at a 1/3 the cost.
  17. Even with no WR I believe Vegas betting odds have LAC taking the top Tackle available so definitely plausible. That is a big need too especially with Harbaugh/Roman bringing their ball control offense to So. Cal. Regardless I was very against using next years 1st to move up into the top 10. Getting a likely high 2nd from Min via Houston paying the price for MH/Nabers/Odunze, and also freeing up 27 million next year to spend in FA allowing to fill the 25 1rd pick does make it a much more viable option. The price JB purposed in his mock seems fair and I would be good with it.
  18. Reset/Reload not rebuild. This is still a playoff team and Vegas favorite for the AFC East. You don't rebuild when Prime Josh Allen is your QB.
  19. The new NFL model if you pay the QB at a top 5 player you can't pay a WR as top 5 player. Or pay your WR top 5 have a QB on a rookie contract. KC, LAC and Buffalo decided their QB's can raise the level of their receiving weapons. Houston, Indy Chicago, and Minnesota are paying WR's and will have QB's on rookie deals. One or the other.
  20. Higgins, Ayiuk and D. Adams would be the available trade targets. Appears this off season Beane is looking to start phase 2 of the Josh era and getting younger which would cross off Adams (and his large contract). I don't see Cinci trading Higgins to the Bills or any other AFC contender but could be a FA target next year. Ayiuk was rumored to be offered to Jax for #17 and Z Jones... He will need an extension but that can massaged to fit this year. Ayiuk would be the target if Beane is looking for an immediate trade.
