I think this allows more playing time for AJ and get him ready to fully take over next year. Kind of a backup plan for this year without spending a lot on a FA. Plus allows them to bring in a rookie and add to the rotation for a year. Doesn't it take a year or two for a DE? Well at least for someone where we have been picking in the draft for the last few years. It's not like we had a chance at the "generational" talent ones... I do think if they didn't re-sign Milano they would have gone after one of the FA's this year though and cut Addison..
-
In a normal year I might agree, but.... Mckensie fills multiple rolls and knows the offense. Barkley as well (not that Josh needs him, but 1 more year wouldn't hurt). Wallace knows the defense and I don't think he is as bad as some think plus would give you someone there while a rookie gets up to speed in the NFL. Boroquez is the one I go back and forth on, but if we can keep him, why risk it?? Gonna be a hard year to truly evaluate draft prospects and haven't really looked at FA's that would be better than our own at a cheaper price.. Rather have the experience in our system than saving a mill or two. But again, that's why I am not the GM... If he would take that deal, I am all for it. But from the little I have read, that may be quite the hometown discount.. But after the last few days I wouldn't doubt Beane's magic..😁

Not broke, but getting close to pulling out the credit card. Still think they need to bring back Mckensie, Wallace (4-6m) and make a decision with Barkley (say 2m). Also Boroquez (say 3m). Then 3-5m for the draft. Have to keep something in the back pocket in case something happens in season. So, couple of our own, then draft the rest. Just my thoughts, But that's why I am here and not a GM..

Thoughts on a Marquise Goodwin reunion?

Funny you posted that. I think I was doing the same dance as hers when I saw they signed Williams... LMAO!!!! -

No thanks. It's kinda like hooking up with your ex. Nice for a couple nights, but then you realize why it didn't work..😁 -
After the last 48 hrs. I am definitely not counting him out. I thought he would keep William's and bring in a DE. But when Watt chose AZ, I think he changed his focus to LB. Never expected Milano to stay.. Who are you thinking as a FA DE to bring in now?
-
I am thinking differently. I think they took a swing at Watt, missed and decided to go the draft route. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to grab a DE in FA, just don't see it happening with William's and Milano signings. At least I'd be REALLY surprised if they do..

My guess would be around 3 each.. enought to bring back Mckensie and Wallace..😉

Available players released from other teams
LyndonvilleBill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your right. I was looking at 4 DT's, not specifically 1 vs 3.. but add Star and I am guessing one in the draft. As to production, something like a couple of sacks, FF's or at least a good push from the middle that we are missing. -

I also agree on Lawson. More I read and watch, the more I like. As to Jefferson though, with Oliver, Phillips and Zimmer, is he really worth the extra money or would the cap savings be better? Do we get more production from him versus Phillip's and Zimmer? -
Offseason Primer Position Group: WR/TE

Put this in another thread by mistake. Probably better here. What about Marquez Stevenson? Any idea where he will truly get drafted? I see everything from 3rd-7th round.... But I am thinking 4-5 maybe? -
Thanks. At first I was thinking along that line of too many, but then one of my thoughts was we have what 14 FA's? Not including the cuts I think will happen like Brown, Jefferson and Butler. Maybe time to fill the roster and save some cap. Out of them I would only bring 4- 6 back (if deals can get done) William's, Mckensie, Boroquez, Boetteger, Mongo and maybe Wallace. The rest in my opinion can be replaced. Most even by rookies the way they were used or played... Appreciate the reply... Being in S. Florida this forum is about all I get from fellow Bill's fans...

Playing with a couple of trades. 30 for 53,85,100 and 216 from Titans. 53. Basham Edge Wake 61. J. Cox LB LSU 85. B. Jordan TE Miam 93. Trade for 95 and 2022 7th Bears 95. T. Shelvin DT LSU 100. R. Stevenson RB Oaklahoma 162. D. Lanoire CB Oregon 175. J. Anderson OG Texas Tech 214. J. Morrissey OC Pitt 216. C. Triumph Edge Duke 234. O. Griffin CB USC As for RB Stevenson.. Something about a 6' 240lb RB with 4.5/4.6 40 sounds nice these days... Not sure how O. Griffin was there? Think he goes much earlier than that.... But I'll take it.. Thought about earlier OL, but think they get a deal done with William's and Mongo and Ford coming back. Not sure if they'll prioritize OL.. Extra edge and oline at the end. Give them a year and maybe take over for Morse and Mongo next year.. Thoughts?

2 round line draft
LyndonvilleBill replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I Like Shelvin, just 1 round too early on each in my opinion. -
I keep going back and forth. My fan brain says go for it and sign him, but my normal brain says don't. My common sense says they will keep what they have (Addison, AJ, Hughes, Love, Cox, Johnson),draft one early and use the savings to sign our own. I am so confused. Might have to schedule a DR. For this one... Thank Goodness I have all of you...😱

Thoughts on Curtis Samuel

Totally agree as I see them cutting Brown in order to re-sign William's. Mckensie just seems like the right fit for Buffalo and the team. As you've said, he'll do whatever he needs to do for the Team. Not many wr's have that attitude... -

This is were I am at well. I'd rather pay 3 mill or so and have Mckensie than 4 mill plus for someone else. I think he's earned it. -
First time I traded a future pick. Figured why not. Wanted a couple of 3rds if I could. Just a sim.. Right... Not too bad if I say so myself.. LOL. Traded 30 and 2022 2nd. Received 37,70,84 and 220 from Philly. 37. P. Freiermuth TE Penn State 61. P. Werner LB Ohio State 70. J. Carman OT Clemson 84. D. Odeyingbo Edge Vanderbilt 93. T. Shelvin DT LSU 162. D. Funny. I was just playing with one of the sims and was checking him out. Not as fast, but for the savings I would. Was also checking out Marquez Stevenson. But may be better to stick with Mckensie..
