WR Cole Beasley (Dallas) to the Bills
Bockeye replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just listened to John Murphy interview him a few minutes ago. He did his research on Buffalo and said Buffalo fans are all in on their team. His exact words were Bills fans are "ride or die" type fans. I was surprised to hear him say that when Dallas wasn't in the playoffs, fans just came to "watch the show" (he said it in a negative connotation). -
Bills hire Bobby Johnson as offensive line coach

This has to be acknowledged. I spit up my beer. 90% of the reason I come here. TBD has a wicked sense of humor. -
Buffalo News: PFF Breaks Down Josh Allen's Accuracy "Issue"
Bockeye replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, this is the first game of the entire NFL season where a team “gave up”. We need to take those yards back as we cannot properly compare Zay to all the other WR’s in the NFL. -
A Few Thoughts about the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
Bockeye replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously though John, we need to do better. 3 throwing TD’s and 2 rushing TD’s from our QB will not cut it when he’s throwing a pick as well. He needs to be better. He was just meh today. -
Leslie Frazier has never been a good DC

Our #1 WR is an UNDRAFTED ROOKIE. Enough said. -
"Exit Interview: Buffalo Bills"
Bockeye replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it was John Murphy the other day who mentioned that Bill Polian said in this day and age, you don't waste a high round draft pick on offensive line. Interesting take. -
Agree 100%. Listen to WGR quite a bit, but as soon as he comes on, I turn it off. XXX - I think Sal is awesome - well balanced and typically does not treat his callers as morons as soon as they utter a word. He will get on some that aren't well prepared, but that's about it. I'd rather have Sal on for 24 hrs. than listen to Mikes drivel. Also - I agree that ex-athletes make a show much more balanced with greater insight. I've listened to Eric Woods when he calls in, would like to see him get a shot.

Flame away, but I would swap a Peterman for a Kelly in an instant.

London sports bar showing Bills and NFL games

Hippodrome Casino. Go live it up. Will be rocking until late into the night. Geez - dude asked a question. Help a man out. Let me know what you think. -
That's supposed to be Daboll. Not sure how much time you need to give a young coordinator time to adjust to the NFL, but it has to be at least more than one season. Hackett is a good example. The Jags O has been looking really good. It's not like we gave Daboll the keys to the Porsche either - rookie QB, putrid O-line, zero WR's.

Dab - this is an excellent point. I could see some T-shirts at the next home game such as: ”We’re glad our VD is gone” ”Who wants VD anyways”

BR: "Josh Allen: Throwing velocity analysis"

Yeah - the hell with the arm velocity, who is that breaking wide open on the right and why didn’t he see him.. -
Will tonight’s game delay Darnold’s HOF ceremony?
Bockeye replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sal was just on WGR this morning saying the exact same thing about Darnold - they are not letting him throw anything long whatsoever. Would have to think it's going to be tough sledding for him if they continue this path and teams game plan against it. On another note, Sal also said that he very much liked Dabol's game plan for Allen. Allen missed some wheel routes and other things he should have recognized. Teams are taking away the short stuff on Allen and daring him to throw deeper - thus the fact he has something like the 3rd deepest targets of any QB. -
TNF: Jets @ Browns (TT vs Darnold)
Bockeye replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boo birds out in force against Taylor. He’s missing some easy throws. 2 of 11 at this point. -
11 different receivers last game and absolutely no one stands out. Who is going to have the most receiving yards and how much? (Absolutely a copy cat of what will Allens stats be, but interesting as we don’t have a clear cut top receiver) l’m going with a Zay Jones break out game with 134 yards and a TD.

Would you draft Oliver or Bosa?
Bockeye replied to Skins Malone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep - can’t pass that up. Ridiculous if we do. -
The cap situation McBeane inhereted
Bockeye replied to Batman1876's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a lot of fans were on board with the process but have begun to waiver with good reason. Building a team is an investment. For every player you bring in via draft, FA, or trade, you want to see a positive return on investment. The current regimes track record is less than stellar to date. While I agree that some players could and should develop, the current evaluation of investments does not look so good. Here's just a sampling: Negative return on investment: Star Lotulelei Trent Murphy Corey Coleman Vonte Davis Kelvin Benjamin Zay Jones Tremaine Edmunds others??? Positive Return on Investment: Jordan Poyer Steven Hauschka Micah Hyde others??? Even Money Josh Allen What category would you put the big trades in? Tyrod Taylor Marcel Dareus Sammy Watkins Ronald Darby -
This as well as the other posters above claiming the same. WGR alluded to it sometime over the last couple weeks. They mentioned a tweet that Schefter (believe it was Schefter) sent out stating the Coleman did not want to come to Buffalo when we first traded for him. Completely plausible or tin hat theory that someone from the Pats whispered to his agent that they would sign him if Bills released him??? Pretty easy decision to play with Brady. Guess we’ll see how he does.

Prediction: Bills will go no huddle on Sunday
Bockeye replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steve Tasker was saying this exact thing yesterday on One Bills Live. Give him a limited number of plays. Keep the D on the field while not letting them do anything too exotic in terms of blitzing (at least that's what I remember). -
Predict Josh Allen's stats vs LA.
Bockeye replied to downunderbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This offensive line (and it truly is) - will he make it through the game? How bad will it be at the Ralph when Peterman straps on his helmet. I shudder to think. 15/26 214yds 53yds rushing 1TD through the air and 1 TD on the ground 1 int 5 sacks -
Great post OP. Hats off to those hat have been saying this is a total rebuild - it is.

Which singular player were you most disappointed with?
Bockeye replied to Bockeye's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll accept that to an extent. I based my reaction on just watching the game and expecting a whole lot more from the D. Was it the DE’s that stunk? It seemed like Flacco had TONs of time back there. I figured if Star was eating up all those double teams, then our DE’s would be putting on the heat. From all the comments, seems like Benjamin was the most disappointing. Can’t argue with that. We need/should grab Perriman.....can’t do worse that what we have. -
I'm going to have to go with Star. He was supposed clog the middle so our boys could wreak havoc on the QB, esp with the size of his contract. Trent stunk but is coming off injury. Peterman has never been good in the regular season. Only other I could think of is Benjamin, esp with his mouth in the preseason. (no fair pointing to McDermott and Beane because they don't count ...even thought they get D grades at this point).
