Not sure carrying the team isn’t a form of elevating the guys around him. His talent allows their skills to shine. He finds anyone, anytime, anywhere on the field.

Brady did it for a very long time. Allen is just getting started .

My point being,  people keep blaming the lack of talent around Allen as the reason,  when every team loses players,  or has missed draft picks,  etc.

Brady had new receivers every couple years. Deon Branch, Edelman,  Welker, David Givens, David Patton, Chris Hogan, Brandon LaFell.  Only Moss and Gronk would remotely be considered elite.

I'm not trying to put down Allen. He's top 5, probably top 3 in the NFL right now.  He's immensely talented. But all QBs have new hurdles every year.

Josh Allen goes to bed dreaming about Brady's oline during those Patriot Superbowl years.

Josh Allen goes to bed dreaming about having those Patriot run games that weren't blown up 5 yards in the backfield and a successful run is gaining 1 yard. Our starting RB last year is a back up this year on a bottom three offensive roster...

Josh Allen goes to sleep dreaming of having a 3rd receiver better than Isiah Mckenzie. A guy who couldn't even make the Colts roster. Another bottom 3 roster for offensive talent.

Josh Allen goes to sleep dreaming of having better redzone threats than no separation off the line Gabe Davis, no recievers who can block to help the run game, Isiah Mckenzie as your third target being 5 foot 7 with no ability to beat a zone defense. Dawson Knox being forced to help Spencer Brown because Brown is consistently beat by undrafted rookies.

Let's blame Josh Allen though. Tell me you can't analyze football, without telling me you can't analyze football.

Brady twice took undrafted WRs, one a converted QB from Kent State, and helped turn them into some of the best slot receivers in the NFL. QBs have to help elevate their offense as well.

Allen is elite, but saying that he had no help isn't true. He has to help elevate guys too.

usually, players dont do this to other players.

so, maybe kelce spoke to Chris Jones.   Maybe jones wants to come back but he needs some cover.  "I woulda stayed gone.  But i cant leave my 'brothers' hangin'.

so maybe Jones is cool with it.  beforehand.

It was a joke.  It was during a podcast, and Travis was jokingly "begging" Jones to come back.  Travis and Jason Kelce were laughing.

Man, I hope he holds out until week 8. Go Bills!

"’Chris, can you please come back?’ Kelce said on the ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’ podcast, which he appears on regularly with his brother, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. ‘You're really scaring me, man. I don't get it. You must know something that I don't know because I just don't get it. I really want to get another Super Bowl ring with you, brother. This is me bargaining you to just come back and play football for the Chiefs. Please, we need you. We need you bad, and I don't know what the situation is.’”

@Zerovoltz, as a Chiefs fan, how do you think this holdout could affect the team?

This was on the Kelce brothers podcast,  and was in a very joking manner. Travis was "begging" Jones to come back,  but in the end says "Get what you can get,  you deserve it. " Jason kind of prompted him.

He isn't getting into the middle of anything

Joe has been in politics for what 50 years? Shouldn’t we hold him to a higher standard? Trump and them were in politics for 5 minutes. You guys simp for a guy who’s exponentially worse on every level and the only response is…but trump.

I don't "simp" for any of them.  They're all garbage.  Most politicians should be in jail for bribes and the like.  I try to call out the hypocrisy like was displayed in the post I replied to. Prosecute Hunter but Jared is a private citizen.

Hunter is a private citizen, Jared was not.  Both likely deserve jail time.

    Browns released G Michael Dunn.

Started the last two years.  Might not be a bad depth signing to go along with Bates

He started some games,  but he wasn't a starter.  He's decent, and can hold his own for a couple games if needed.

It is not "above the law"

It's just simply BAD FOR BUSINESS

Good, because business has been corrupt and a problem for years now, on both sides.  I want our politicians held accountable, on both sides.  If public "servants" are immune from crimes they commit, it will further push their crimes to become worse and worse.

Being immune from prosecution because of your political standing is the exact meaning of "above the law."

Yeah, I always saw Schwartz as an outside fly route only type WR.  Zero wiggle

    in his game.

The only thing is he semi good at is end arounds.  And given that, teams started planning for it when he was on the field, so the end arounds weren't great either in the end.  He is crazy fast, but he has never been reliable on catching the ball.  Obviously a huge knock for a guy paid to catch the ball.

    ah

What's the point of posting this?  If you're going to ignore people, but then feel the need to draw attention to the fact that you ignored them?

Also, what's with doing the same reaction to every post people make?

Are they really trying to equate Biden vacationing to Maui IN THE PAST to either of the examples they listed?  Ted Cruz left his own state and constituents DURING the crisis at hand.  I don't think what Bush did was overly a big deal, but flying to New Orleans is probably 2 hours from DC and Hawaii isn't.

Biden should be trying to address the people at least, and they should be moving to help as many people as possible as quickly as possible.  Being the distance it is, and an extremely isolated island, makes that a much larger obstacle.  We can't just send trucks with volunteers and resources.

Trump is most definitely an elite.

He is most definitely NOT a Washington elite north of Richmond.

    He isn't in their club.

See multiple idictments criminalizing political apeech.

Trump chanted for years to "Lock her up."  He is all on board with the Biden "corruption."  He would is trying to push the same narrative on his opponents that he complains about happening to himself.

And just to clarify, anyone committing crime, fraud, tax evasion, corruption, etc. should be tried and convicted if the evidence is shown, regardless of party.

    Amazing song.

And while I don’t support him in the primary, if people want to know why Trump has such a die hard following… it’s because I guarantee you that song speaks to his followers more than anyone.

People who, rightly or wrongly, perceive this country as moving to a place where they are low man on the totem pole, barely getting by, as their government tells them to go **** themselves.

I like the song, and the message overall.  What I don't understand is how anyone who supports Trump could think this relates to Trump as all?  The dude has been mega rich his entire life, even well before his "self made" billions.  The song is as much about Trump as it is Biden or any other politician in DC.

The message of the song is true, and the guy has talent for sure.  But to immediately associate it with Trump supporters makes little sense.  The current country was created by people just like Trump, and just like all the other politicians in DC.  And everyone, not just Trump supporters, is feeling the effects of 50+ years of garage politics.

But John, you said a couple pages back that the police are shooting unarmed men on the street every day.

What’s more believable, roving assassination squads gunning down innocent civilians or the fact that each situation should be judged on facts of the case?

Again, I asked about Ashli Babbit being unarmed and shot by a Capitol Police officer.  Does that fall into the category of justified shooting, though she was unarmed and extremely unlikely to pose any threat to a well-trained male police officer more than a few feet away?

This situation can be addressed calmly and rationally by those in control of the decision-making, a full accounting of their actions and video that is surely available.  A neighbor has suggested they witnessed the FBI breaching the door with a battering ram, and pierced the front window of the home with a tactical vehicle.  If that’s true, it’s much more complicated than they engaged in a nice peaceful conversation and the guy drew his weapon.

The lack of transparency at this point is a bit concerning, the lack of questions for seekers of truth in the media even more so.  This comes from the perspective of someone who aligns more with @The Frankish Reich than anything else.

Babbit ignored direct orders to stop, and also, as she is climbing through a busted window, there is no way to tell if she is armed or not.

It's out.......if you have access to The Athletic:

    Top 3

    1. Nyckoles Harbor WR South Carolina

    2. Marvin Harrison WR Ohio State

    3. Kingsley Suamataia OT BYU

Harrison and Suamataia are draft eligible this year......Harbor is a 6'5" 240# freshman "athlete" recruit who has apparently chosen to focus on WR.   Lot of DL and OL in the top 20 this year but the list goes to 101.   For those unfamiliar it's players of unusual size and athleticism........hence, freaks.

Harbor was leaning Michigan for a while, but they wanted him as a TE.  Could you imagine in a year or 2, the dude is 6'5" 255 and running a high 4.3 or low 4.4?  He has the potential to be an absolute monster.  He will be fun to watch.

middle of the road decent starter as in QB14-18 range or like fringe top 10 guy?

cause I could buy the lower being his likely upside and that’s a guy you try to replace.

I’ll also say the comment was specifically referencing in Greggggg which I think is still a situation that would limit his upside too as that’s not a dream offensive coaching setup for him. No way gregggg was bringing elite offensive talent into the building.

I'd say 12-18 range, with any given year jumping to 8ish. Not consistently,  but if he could limit turnovers.

Even if that’s the case, why wear long sleeves exclusively? Could the elbow be taped and he doesn’t want people to see?

Could it be that?  Sure, but I highly doubt it.  These guys are used to the temperature, and it does help your muscles stay "warm".  Some of those shirts are even designed to absorb sweat and actually keep you cooler than if you had short sleeves.  It could be any number of reasons, but I doubt that it's to try to hide anything.

disclaimer: Gregg’s not good either and baker wouldn’t be their starter long term under him either

I disagree.  Mayfield was never going to be a top tier QB, but he could have been middle of the road, decent starter.  Hell, he's going to be a starter again this year.  Constant change in offense and coaches isn't good for anyone.
