The downside is you could have used that pick to help a horrible roster. They already picked a QB they liked better. We’d be pissed if the Bills drafted two QBs to compete for a backup role

This is how bad teams stay bad

Cleveland's roster was good enough 2 years ago to make the playoffs with 5 separate QBs starting games.  The roster isn't bad at all.  There are holes, sure.  But there are holes on pretty much every NFL roster outside of Philly.  They need a QB.  With good QB play, they can compete.  With QB play like last year, you go 3-14.  Not rocket science.

Imagine thinking you could be the 2nd or 3rd overall pick...then falling all the way to the 5th. Only to be taken by the Browns. Who selected a different QB ahead of you.

This REEKS of Haslam getting involved and forcing this pick.

At this point he is worth the risk.  Like others have said, if he proves himself, you found a QB in the 5th round.  If he shows to be a pain AT ALL, you cut him and move on.  You can't do that with a 1st or 2nd round pick.  I believe it's only happened with a 3rd rounder 1 in the last 20ish years.  But 5th rounders get cut all the time.

He and Gabriel are opposites so far.  Gabriel apparently interviewed extremely well and came off as extremely smart.  Sanders interviewed extremely poorly and was a pain.  But Sanders has a lot more potential.  I do agree drafting 2 guys is very odd, but when Kenny Pickett is currently listed as your backup, its not hard to just cut him either if the 2 rookies look reasonably good.

Knee surgery after 2023 season .. seems long time ago 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was an ankle injury during last season, no after 2023.  He played in the first 4-5 games last year, and had 2 pick 6s in those games.  He extremely talented, bit can get beat because he plays so aggressive.  But it leads to turnovers as well.

  4. Michigan

    Overhyped:

Will Johnson. He is very good,  but you can't convince me that he didn't quit on the team last year.  He also is elite in several aspects,  but he can be beat deep and tries to jump too many routes.

Donovan Edwards, as a RB. I actually think he could be an excellent slot WR, but he lacks vision as a RB.

    Underhyped:

Mason Graham.  I think he is the best player in the draft. I honestly think he has Aaron Donald potential.  May not ever be THAT good,  but he is good in every facet of the game.

IDC what anyone says. That’s a find for the Cowboys. I can’t explain it, but it seems like Milton has the intangibles in the limited times I’ve seen him on the field.

I would be mega excited if I was a Dallas fan. Milton checks every box you want for a QB. If they stay patient and develop an offense around him, the sky is the limit. Reminds me a lot of Josh Allen actually. I wish Buffalo had a chance to develop him.

He checks all the PHYSICAL boxes.  He hasn't checked all the mental boxes all the way through college.

He was a below 50% passer in high school as well.

Good for Geno. A first round pick, two rough years to start, horrible franchise, the whole punched in the jaw episode, which led to him losing his starting job to Fitzpatrick. Then served 2 years as backup with Jets, 1 year backup with Giants, 1 year backup with Chargers, 3 years backup in Seattle. That was his first 9 years in the league. A lot of guys with his draft status and those circumstances would have quit or been run out of the league for not working hard, attitude, or not fulfilling the role of a backup well (ego), etc. In his first 10 years in the league, he made just shy of $15,000,000 total. In 2019, his salary was only $805,000. In 2022, it was still only $3,500,000.

He has now been a starter for the last three years, and it appears that he will have at least one or two more years in that role. And in the last 2.5 years now, he has earned contracts worth approx. $125,000,000. I give him a lot of credit for sticking with it, obviously continuing to work hard and to believe in himself. He obviously loves the game and/or still wanted to prove himself. He will now have carved out a 13+-year career and have generational wealth, when he could have just been a footnote in the league (based only on his draft position), like a lot of other guys.

I wouldn't want him as my QB, but ya gotta give him credit for his work ethic and perseverance.

He was a 2nd rounder, but your point still stands.  There were rumors and such before that draft of him going #1 overall simply by being the "top" QB, but it just turned out to be a horrible QB draft.

I think that his value is as high as it will ever get.

Yes, once he would get any extended playing time, he will most likely be back to the way he looked at Michigan, and then at Tennessee.  All the talent in the world and a rocket arm, but has no touch and little accuracy.

always wondered where his career would have taken him had he not retired at such an early age?

At the rate he was going, an early wheelchair.

It's not the Bills' style to do that type of thing. But Browns will be Browns.

Amazing that you can make that judgment based on 0 information.

I also read a separate article that hinted that they think he might retire, not that he doesn't have the ability anymore.

Why does it seem like Russia/Ukraine is the only region liberals and neocons care about?

Will they?  Not if USA/Europe have strong leadership.  You can hate Trump all you want but Russia didn’t invade during his first term. They did the term before him and the term after him.  They’ve done it while Europe is gutless and dependent upon America for defense.

Should we go into Africa and start arming governments and picking sides in an effort to stop the relentless slaughter of civilians and rise of tribal warlords and gangs leading to the largest refugee crisis of the modern era?

Thats something that is actually effecting Europe, almost as if it’s by design.  So maybe there’s a reason we allow the slaughter of Africans but pick and choose our battles to focus on territorial battles in Russia/Ukraine, of which we provoke by expanding NATO and saber rattling on Russia’s doorstep.

One man actually wants to stop the slaughter of the innocent men in Ukraine and Russia, while the rest of the Western world demands body bags… for what.

Nobody, STILL, can outline the end game of funding a forever war.  Nevermind the future effects of forcing Russia & China to further align.

    Russia has nukes. Africa doesn't.

Although any kind of killing due to trying to take over a country is a atrocity, in comparison since Putin has invaded Ukraine some 12,000 citizens have died .

Unlike the 11,283,000 that Hitler had killed, then when you think of how Hitler had them starved in concentration camps & then put in ovens to be burned to death Putin although a terrible person can't hold a candle to Hitlers deranged way of killing in the Holocaust .

Murderous criminal yes along the lines in comparison, no comparison to Hitler !!

There are reports of 43,000 civilian casualties (12,000 deaths) in Ukraine, but most agree that the number is MUCH higher.  Several estimates are that over 100,000 civilian deaths.   Russia has over 800,000 casualties.  Ukraine has between 400,000 and 500,000 casualties.

And who knows what Putin would accomplish if the rest of the world didn't stand up to him.  Putin is less efficient, but that is mostly because the world now knows how horrible people can be given the chance.  Russian military intentionally attacks civilian locations.  They are raping and killing women and children.
