I don't think you quite get this.
In fact I'm sure of it.
Whoever was running the Biden Admin got a massive, and in my view, unnecessary stimulus bill passed.
Started out at Build Back Better, which was a 3.5 trillion dollar monstrosity.
After Republican legislative jockeying, it ended up a 2.2 trillion dollar monetary print.
Way too much money printing, resulting in way too inflation, which is exactly what happened.
Groceries, housing, clothing and everything reflected the massive increase in available dollars.
Trump's stimulus was more than Biden's. By quite a bit. Both had major implications on the inflation situation.

Knowles didn’t even show up to the celebration today and the players look pretty mad on Twitter. Doesn’t appear he told them in person.
Apparently Knowles reached out to Penn State the day after the championship, so obviously more to this story. Must be unhappy or some kind of internal issues. I know earlier in the season there were rumors of conflict with Larry Johnson, but who knows.

The number 1 seed is a huge advantage in this tournament. I liked it better with byes for the top 2. It meant that often both teams in the final game had had the benefit of the bye. With one bye, it means the number 2 team has to go through a serious gauntlet just to get to the championship game, and face a team that had gotten a week off.
Right, but it was already a gauntlet for the rest of the playoff teams past #1 and #2, so it makes the #1 seed that much more valuable. At this point, they would have to add another playoff team to make the logistics work.

The absurdity is, you think it's natural competition. Absurdity? You sit there every week and watch the officials make a mockery of reality and truth. And still let it keep happening. Put 2 and 2 together already.
It's not a mistake, accident or coincidence when it happens multiple times a week. It's an agenda.
Then why do you watch? What's the point if it is all predetermined?
Plus, I don't know how much you know about people, but no way that many people involved all keep their mouths shut. Refs, league officials, etc. All it would take is one of any of hundreds or thousands of people to say something.
Also, if it happens multiple times per week, what calls this week influenced the games? Did Buffalo win because of the refs? The agenda?

High level? It's the NFL. It's only a high level.
It depends on - will the NFL allow it. And History has shown they don't.
Miami 2 of 3 SBs and perfect season.
Even with Marino,they got nothing.
Browns owned the 40s to 60s. Nothing since.
The Patriots are done.
And why are you being pro Patriots in the first place lol.
You want them to fail in Buffalos division. Make up your mind
Yes, but there are PLENTY of teams that don't coach or draft well. That's all. The absurdity of "will the NFL allow it" is priceless.
It's not being Pro Patriot either, it's just disputing the absolutely outlandish things people say sometimes.

No logic?
It's a fact. Long dynasties lead to long term failure. Its the way of the NFL.
I have no doubt or fear of being wrong.
The Patriots are just another losing team for decades. Even if a season is above .500. They'll lose early in playoffs. It's over. Vrabel is just a another coach. It's over
If you want to believe it's an unknown mystery,go ahead.
It's over for years to come
Wow. So because "dynasties" in the past struggled afterwards means that all will going forward. It all depends the FO and coaching. If they operate at a high level, they'll be good. If they don't, they won't. Even Belicheck struggled after orchestrating the dynasty.

So stupid. So don’t watch the games and see how it plays out, look at the stat sheet. Thanks for your input.
Watch Lamar and Mahommes throw numerous pick sixes or fumbles for TDs last year but nobody gives a ***** that they are more of a negative play than just a regular turnover. Watch the games, make an opinion. Lamar fumbles in OT this year deep in his end, is that an MVP play? No one even mentions it in the media. It’s just brushed off as usual. If that was Josh we’d still be listening to it. ***** I hear some of the talking heads go on about Allen’s turnovers come playoff time like
they never even watched him play in the playoffs.
The talking head narrative in the media has a big outcome on these awards, you might not want to admit it but it’s the truth. Someone posted a few years ago Lamar got voted for pro bowl over Josh when Josh almost had double the amount of TDs. Explain thatThe Pro Bowl is voted on by fans. That explains the entire thing.
2 hours ago, VaMilBill said:I’m sick of the MVP discord. If CMC won it last year, I’d absolutely be on board with Lamar winning it this year. But last year, Lamar’s stats were mediocre but the whole team functioned extremely well.
Based on that criteria I think Josh should win it this year. But I don’t know how media members can just change the rules on their criteria year to year. Unbelievable. I actually wish NFL scouts, GMs and HCs made the MVP vote.
Talk about overrated. Lamar is on the doorstep of winning his third MVP and hasn’t done squat in the playoffs. That is the epitome of being overrated.
The MVP vote happens before the playoffs, so playoff records have no bearing on the vote.

There won't be any form of a turnaround that matters. This team will suck for 30 years
There is literally no logic in this statement. Belicheck is a great coach but struggled greatly in the FO role, especially later in his career. Wait and see how Wolf's draft looks in a year or 2, and see how they do this year. The team was short on talent due to Belicheck.

All it took was a loss to Michigan for OSU to finally show some guts. UM should get half that trophy if they win.

Why?
Garrett publicly basically said he wants out of Cleveland. Browns are most likely going to blow up the roster as the oline has gotten old quick and they have no QB.
Very good chance Garrett is traded.
Probably will take two #1s and a huge contract extension.
Problem is Bills first round draft picks will be very late round picks.
Browns won't trade to Cinci. But there is probably a team that is out if the playoffs and has a QB now that might make the move. Maybe a team like Miami, AZ, or the Bears.
Garrett didn't say he wanted out of Cleveland. He said he wanted to be there his entire career. He did say he didn't want to have a full rebuild.
With a competent QB, Cleveland is still a playoff team. The Watson contract makes that tough, but not impossible. Cleveland keeps carrying over huge cap numbers every year that help offset his numbers. If they can land a good rookie QB or even a veteran QB on a cut contract for cheap, they'll be ok. I hate the long term idea of Cousins, but if you can pay him minimum while Atlanta pays his contract, you can compete. Rumors of Minnesota entertaining trading McCarthy too, which could be interesting.

I think Allen wins and it’s all but over. Jackson has to play to secure the division. Allen locked his up a month ago. Better record less talent around him. Take into account fumbles Allen has less turnovers. Jackson is having a fantastic season. Having the leading rusher in the conference has greatly helped that.
Comparing the AFC North to the AFC East is laughable. The Bills locked it up a month ago because overall, its one of the worst divisions in football.

I think he could be the piece that we hoped that Von was going to be. He could be this teams Reggie White to GB move. Only 29 still. However I would not be willing to give up a #1 for him. One of our seconds for sure, but what else would it take? Assuming they would even move him of course.
The fact that you claim you wouldn't give up a #1 for most likely the best defensive player in the NFL is past Madden absurdity. It's starts at likely 2 #1 and 2 #2 or some close combination.

He’s usually good for one bone headed play a game, I think bc they’ve gotten out to these big leads he hasn’t felt the pressure that has led to some of his picks etc. but I would say the same for Ewers, he likes to give it up
Ewers honestly has been bad lately. Very careless with the ball.

They have had an edge for sure but tbh I think the Michigan loss was way more on the coaches and the game plan than anything with the players. Coaches Not playing to their strengths, obsessed with trying to prove they were tough and running into the strength of the Michigan DL ; not letting their absurd WR talent win for them. As long as they keep doing what they are doing, they will beat anyone. It also took awhile for the OL to gel again after losing two all Americans to injury. I think the edge we are seeing now too is from these seniors who are now playing with a tremendous opportunity in front of them. The buckeyes as an underdog are very scary, as a favorite not as much but they were favored bc Oregon and still came out like that. Will they beat Texas by 20 probably not, will they find a way to win, I could see it.
OSU will win if they continue to pass the ball. It will all depend on Howard. He is somewhat turnover prone, so if Texas can pressure him and not let give the receivers time to get open, then have a shot. If they let them receivers run free, OSU wins by 10+.

Burrow doesn't count. He played zero meaningful snaps at OSU. He is the product of LSU. Stroud has a chance to be the big OSU QB they have lacked in the NFL, but Burrow isn't it.

I am not against NIL. I think that it should be regulated but I don't see how it can be unless the players form a union, but; even that seems like a difficult if not unlikely scenario. My question is: Do you think that NIL will decrease the quality of play both in the NCAA and the NFL?
I ask this because I suspect that it may. Kids out of high are paid school hundreds of thousands of dollars, and I'm thinking that not many of them are equipped to handle this. I know that I wouldn't want to take a hit from Ruben Foster if I had a million dollars in my pocket.
I also suspect that it will be harder for coaches to instill discipline in these kids, especially for "Saban style" coaches. This is obviously why he quit. He talked about the value of discipline for his entire career. This was an instrumental part of why he (and his players) were so successful, and countless players do and will attest to this. Now, a player can tell a coach to "f*^k off" and go sign with another team. I just can't see how this will not hurt the quality of play for many of the kids both short and long term.
What am I missing?
You're not entirely wrong, but coaches have been able to tell players to "f off" for years. In theory, a coach could have signed a whole entire class to binding LOI, and then leave the next day with no penalty. If the player then decided to transfer the day the coach left, he would have to sit out a year at the new school before being able to play, while the coach could start immediately. And coaches are getting paid $10+ million per year now in college, and the players were making nothing. College football especially is now generating billions of dollars per year, so while it is insane to see what some of these players are making, they should be able to make whatever money they can. Should the market set your salary rate, or should their be some agency that determines what you are allowed to make?
I am not saying the new system is perfect because it isn't, but why would the players agree to a cap?

No way it can be illegal, it's done in every league
Yes, a professional league. The money going to the college players is essentially endorsements, which can't be capped.
The NFL can't cap endorsements either, just salary. And it can prevent side deals to circumvent the cap through the league, but not outside endorsements.

I say no portal until all bowl games are played and if you sit out the bowl game, you can't enter the portal.
I also say you must stay 3 years at the college you committed to,before you can enter the portal. Drafted into the NFL you must stay with the team that drafted you for 4-5 years. I believe anyone team owns your rights for 3 years.
You can only enter the portal twice.
There needs to be a salary cap implemented just like the pros.
A college salary cap has already been ruled illegal.
If we're trying to implement these rules, then make the rules for coaches as well.

Why? The team with the better QB has the advantage in the playoffs unless the other team has a huge advantage on defense which they do not.
And one of the best ways to nullify a great QB is to control the clock, which the Lions are very capable of.

Who started a giant brawl? The guy who planted the flag and those who went to defend him. Sawyer had the flag but the guy who planted it wanted to fight. Don't start something with people and then cry when they defend themselves I say...
Did you watch the post game at all? Michigan planted the flag, and OSU's team ran back and started fighting at mid field. The guy with the flag when Sawyer took it was AFTER the original fight. And again, I don't agree with him doing that at all either.
Michigan was midfield with the flag, and when OSU saw it, they ran back and started pushing/fighting. AFTER getting the fight settled, then I agree, the Michigan player instigated the 2nd fight by taking the flag back through the OSU players.

Texas/Michigan and Oregon/Michigan aren't bitter rivalries, so your first point makes absolutely no sense.
It shows that schools can plant flags and not lose their crap over it. I don't agree with the flag planting, I think it's a dumb new fad, but it doesn't have to turn into a giant brawl over it. To me it's like running up the score. I don't agree with that either, but in same breath, if you don't like it, stop them. If OSU didn't like it, win the game.
Sarkisian for Texas said: ""There is a way to win it with class," Sarkisian said. "I just didn't think it was the right thing to do... We shouldn't be planting any flags on their logo." This is this week, after allowing his team to do it earlier in the year.
Again, I think it's stupid when anyone plants a flag. But it is also stupid to start a giant brawl over it as well.
