  1. He became a GM a lot faster than I was anticipating.
  2. The issue being, for every Allen, there are 5 busts. Most QBs who are drafted on "potential" are hot garbage because if they're drafted on potential it generally means they aren't that great. Allen was able to refine himself for the most part, but he still has his moments where the guy drafted on potential shows up.
  3. I don't like Stroud much. If I'm Houston, I trade down if Young goes 1 and try to grab Richardson or Levis. Stock more picks and take either of those guys wherever you trade down to, or at 12. Still a gamble, but the extra picks help offset the risk.
  4. Mike Mayock happened. But Ruggs with his situation, and the Raiders didn't have a pick until round 3 last year. Leatherwood, their 2021 1st is already gone. Arnette is gone. Clellin Ferrell is gone. Jonathan Abrams. All well before their contracts expired. All 1st rounders.
  5. I came to the team website board in like 2007 when the Browns played Buffalo and stuck around there for a while, then came here after that. So no, it's basically this board and a Browns board that I semi frequent. This board seems to be more active and have more football discussion than most others.
  6. Why would you add when 42 went to the Jets and 74 went to Cleveland?
  7. The Jets moved up in picks, but they swapped very similar WRs. Main difference being that Hardman is going to cost A LOT more than Moore.
  8. Cleveland needed a slot receiver, and Moore had been a slot receiver until the Jets made him an outside receiver for whatever reason. Pretty decent trade with the 3rd coming back.
  9. Fields is 2 years in and was decent last year. Goff has been to the SB. Neither are superstars, but it's way too early to say they can't especially Fields.
  10. Schoonmaker was the starter this year at Michigan for a majority of the year. All didn't play much at all. But yes, Schoonmaker is very good and reliable. Won't ever be Gronk or Kelce, but he can be a very solid TE who is a good blocker and receiver.
  11. The original post I responded to said that they were both controllable for 5 years. And they're not. Not anymore, and Oliver is only 1 year. So his value isn't much. At least Jeudy is 2 years.
  12. They were controllable for 5 years when they were drafted, yes, but not at this point.
  13. I know he didn't play well last year, and he may continue down that path, but I think it is much more likely that he packed it in last year and really didn't care. That's not good either, but he didn't suddenly lose the ability to play, I think he lost the will to play in GB anymore.
  14. Hunt is different than Chubb. Chubb, as powerful as he is, is a cut and go. He avoids the 1st tackle or 2 and then plows through people. Hunt is straight ahead full speed. Not nearly as good as Chubb, but he is very good. Much better than Singletary in my opinion. And Hunt is a very good receiver as well.
  15. That, and why would they want the 1st next year seeing as the draft is in a month.
  16. Obviously over the course of the next five years he's going to go downhill at some point. That doesn't mean after one down year he's suddenly gonna continue to be what he was last year. That's why I had said in the previous post that long term obviously it's Allen over him but next year could be a toss up.
  17. They just win the Super Bowl and somehow the Bengals are more of a problem than the Chiefs? Plus, rumor of Tunsil to KC as a possibility. That would keep Taylor at RT.
  18. I would agree more if it wasn't for the fact that Rodgers has been pissed at GB for a couple years, and last year it seemed to come to a head. I may be wrong, but I don't see much of a chance of him dropping off that much 1 year to the next, 39 or not.
  19. Yes. Rodgers had 1 down year. He had won 2 straight MVPs before that, and 4 total. Obviously long term, Allen > Rodgers. If Rodgers continues downhill, then obviously Allen > Rodgers. But Rodgers was a top 2-3 QB in the NFL for 12+ years. 1 down disgruntled year doesn't guarantee he is suddenly trash. I could see Rodgers playing lights out next year just to prove the Packers wrong.
  20. I can give you possibly Allen > Rodgers, with even that being debatable, but who else is better in the East?
