I think a major problem is what do the bills want? What type of offense do they want to play? Do they want a quick strike offense or one that will grind out first downs. Until last Sunday I thought they ran it reasonably well but like anything else they reverted to Josh being the whole offense again. McDermott and Dorsey need to sit down and figure out once and for all ok this is what I want and go from there.

Gabe open all day- Dorsey playing Madden

Two years ago he was a one man playoff offense don’t think another team like the 49ers wouldn’t salivate at the thought of giving Josh Allen… Christian Mccaffery and Debo Damuel and George Kittle and that oline to go with their defense. You and I could coach that team to a Super Bowl. This is all on the coaching staff. -
I’ve gotten a kick outta these threads evaluating Allen he’s probably the most scrutinized QB in the league as I never really have gotten the hatred for the guy but maybe it was just predraft stuff like Nick Wright. To put Allen’s greatness in perspective if the Bills organization had taken any other single QB in 2018 or 2019 Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane would be unemployed right now with how many picks they’ve missed on.

Potential to Explore Josh Allen (QB) trades

Considering half the babies born in western New York boy and girl are named Josh the last 3 years this will have nuclear meltdown level implications for this franchise beyond the field. -
Potential to Explore Josh Allen (QB) trades

You do realize that it took the Bills 25 years to find a QB after Jim Kelly also if you think picking a qb is so easy as the New York Jets they’ve picked 2 in the top 3 the last 6 years and their franchise hope is a 40 year old who takes psychedelics. You are entitled to your opinion but if you want to really endure pain have 17 goto a team like the 49ers who would probably make you such a trade since they have no problem going for things and watch Allen win a Super Bowl or with their D several in a non Bills uniform and this franchise would go back to being non relevant for 20 years. -
Hey you make a very good point this team just cannot seemingly get off the field on 3rd down thus making any offensive possessions they get absolutely critical. Most of that is cause they can’t generate a pass rush I know they miss Daquan but come on they have enough talent to at least force a qb into a bad throw now and then.

The Bengals really didn’t stop the Bills but what they did do was as he stated drain the clock to limit possessions. Josh only had 12 incompletions on 38 attempts and two of those were his int and the ridiculous intentional grounding call. I don’t know what the Bills are either does McDermott want them to grind out drives and protect his injuries on D. cause if that’s the case Josh can’t be throwing the ball every down you need a competent running game to give the man a break and in the Bengals game he was the leading rusher again. Do they want to go uptempo and pressure the defense knowing a few three and outs are possible. I just don’t know what McDermott wants.

Stroud for as great as he looked lost to Carolina last week and will have the ups and downs of a young qb. The Hawks are tough but that’s not Pat Mahomes or Joe Burrow that’s Geno Smith…Brock Purdy is clearly regressing in and the Jags is an actual home game in Buffalo.

The coaching staff this year -
This seems like a much easier schedule at first glance but who knows how these rosters and teams will look.

What are you going to do start Ryan Bates?
-
Yeh he started all three interior positions on the line so wouldn’t surprise me if Morse retires they slide McGovern to center and bring in a new left guard

Harbaugh to Bills (Would it work?)

Two things word out tonight is teams where in fact stealing Michigans signs so my guess is in the end Jim stays at Michigan. Number 2 BenJohnson he gets the controls to Josh Allen and can build the offense like he wants -
McGovern was the center in Dallas he can easily slide inside you’ll need another guard but that should be too much of an issue

You want your quarterback trucking defensive linemen? Do you want your quarterback to see the field by his 30th birthday?

Some All-22 Observations from Cinci

Considering people were literally throwing his jersey on the ground two years ago after he lost at home to Pittsburgh I honestly would never blame him for taking every commercial and opportunity available to him. -
We are now the worst defense in the league

Didn’t watch the game did you? The entire second half the Bengals were going for a knockout punch and couldn’t do it. As for the QB being a candyass when he’s your leading rusher in the game…again that’s a problem. -

We have so many resources and money tied up into the defensive side of the ball that even with the injuries they should still be average and be in the 10-15ish range. The problem is obviously the lulls this offense has against even mediocre defenses. When your number 2 receiver has literally zero catches and your QB is your teams leading rusher….again that’s a problem….a big one. -
Coach Daboll confirmed today Daniel tore his ACL and is clearly done for around 9 months. Obviously this puts a wrench into the Giants off season plans as they are more than likely going to be drafting possibly top5. Gotta think this has the Giants going quarterback now.
