Mel Kiper is back and you won’t like it
78thealltimegreat replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane relies heavily on Josh to make mediocre players look good including his line so he can load up on D in free agency and the draft. It’s caught up to him and has to change. -
Bills Coaching Staff Changes Thread

I would think the defensive line coach would get it first since the Dline wasn’t just bad it was how are these guys in the league bad. -

There have been warning signs from the likes of Greg Cosell and Chris Simms for months about this offense. They have major offensive holes…Josh needs help. Their big signings to help Josh last year was Roger Saffold and Jamison Crowder on a one year deals. -

When your star qb is basically doing this with street free agents at WR…mediocre olinemen, and literally is the teams best RB….and you’ve loaded up on defense in previous drafts this is a problem. -
Hey I will always have respect for Mel one of the few analysts who went to the wall for Josh…. but in his first mock draft he has the Bills taking Auburn DE Derick Hall who is actually really good…. but if the Bills don’t help Josh either on the line or at WR or even TE…this board may create a meltdown that looks like something out of the movie I Am Legend

Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?
78thealltimegreat replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do you really want to go there? Do you want me to remind you of 13 seconds? Do you want me to remind you of what Tua and Raheem Mostart did in the second game? Do you want me to remind you what Kirk Cousins did to them and that was after the O spotted them a 27-10 lead ….Seriously they have the second most money on defense and the 18th most in offense. That must change. As you are the only one on the planet currently defending a defense who forget Joe Burrow for sec..gave up 6 yards a carry to Joe Mixon and Perrine when they haven’t had a hundred rusher in 2 months with 3 backup linemen. -
Interesting rumor…Dak to the Jets
78thealltimegreat replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets are going to upgrade QB just have to deal with the fact they have arguably a better roster now than the Bills. But the Bills have the ultimate card in 17. -
There’s a wild rumor spreading on a couple Cowboys sites that people connected to Jerry say he would be willing to trade Dak to the Jets and then work on a deal for Derek Carr. I don’t really think this moves the needle for the Jets but they really just need a game manager type with the skill talent they’ve built there and Dak can do that.

Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?

Every decent QB not named Lamar Jackson lights them up when you invest that heavily in your defense and basically rely on your all world QB to make street free agents and low round picks look good and let’s not talk about the oline. -

They just care more about defense then offense. The problem is their defense can’t stop an offense with a pulse and your all world QB has exactly 1 skill talent on the roster people are scared of. -
Oh there’s like a 100 reasons… 1. Even with tough free agent decisions the dline will get Von Miller back. 2. The secondary will get arguably the best safety in football back in Micah Hyde even though his partner may depart I hope not but who knows. 3. Jordan Phillips will get shoulder surgery and be ok so the Dline depth will be solid. 4. Even with Singletary likely going Hines and Cooke isn’t a bad 1-2 punch and a vet can be added easily as RB free agent class is very deep. 5. Davis is in a contract year I’m at the point with his inconsistency that he should pay the Bills to keep him. I mean Josh’s throw hit him right in the hands 🙄.but he needs to ball out to get money. 6. They aren’t in as bad a cap shape as I pointed out in a previous post and can easily clear up cap space for cap problems the up and coming Jaguars are actually in worse shape. 7. Trey White is in his second year back from his ACL and will now have an entire off season to get caught up to speed not just thrown in after Thanksgiving. 8. The needs of this team aren’t as major as we let on. They need two olinemen, 2WR, maybe a safety, and that’s really the only glaring needs. 9. Despite doom and gloom you have caught the Chiefs winning 2 of the last 3 and the loss last year we won’t talk about…the Bengals are now the new challenge. 10-100 You have Josh Allen. Who in a down year was responsible for over 5000 total yards of offense and 42 touchdowns.

I like the Risner signing as he is solid but WR needs to be a first or second pick. I love Jalin Hyatt in the draft I think Josh would make him a future star. If you wanted get creative you could go Dalton Kincaid in Round 1 and start running some actually scary 2TE sets with him and Dawson. Kincaid is also an excellent blocker so it would be like an extra olineman in the draft

What I’ve been saying this vaunted Sabres team has just about the same amount of points as the Philadelphia Flyers who are literally trying to tank this year.
-
Allen makes it so he can miss badly on just about anything on offense and still look like a success. Let’s face it Gabe Davis is barely NFL caliber and he’s going to get paid by some team cause of Josh. Isiah McKenzie is on an nfl team period cause of Josh. Jake Kemarow is somehow still employed cause of Josh. Tommy Sweeney, Reggie Gillam, and Quentin Morris aren’t even NFL players and making an nfl paychecks cause of Josh. That’s not even getting into the crap show Josh has blocking for him.

Beane End of Year Presser

You aren’t wrong Buffalo. -
Oh I agree that team is 8 points from literally being undefeated. The Bengals are good but not some juggernaut they got run out of the building by the Cleveland Browns before their winning streak. I guarantee that game would be closer if they played again. But there are some problems this team has that all came to the surface at the same time and it was at the worst time. We don’t have any dynamic players on offense not named 14 or 17. The offense line couldn’t push a pack of stuffed animals off the ball to run it. We’ve invested heavily in an an archaic Tampa 2 system on D that can’t get pressure on backup offensive linemen.

If he takes a defensive lineman or corner this site might crash for good -
Howard and Jeremy on WGR this morning where having a discussion about the Bills Cap space…when looking into it a simple restructuring of Josh’s contract and just his alone would allow the Bills to have up to 21 million in cap space. Much less others on the team. So while I don’t expect the Bills to major free agent players. They can easily slide a vet or two on the roster if the vet comes at the right price. On the negative the franchise tag for a LB is 20 million and the transition tag is 15…so with other needs like many have been screaming about like oline Tremaine is signing long term or he’s gone. Such is life in the NFL.

They need receivers and Oline desperately. Drafting or even signing a dynamic rb ain’t worth it unless his name his Josh Jacobs
