This Off-season should be all about Allen
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to BillsFan1988's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best help for Allen will be.....Help in the trenches! The Bills seriously need to improve their O-line in pass protection, but more importantly run blocking. An improved run game will help Allen immensely. I'm not opposed to what the OP is suggesting, just stating an improved O-line will pay more dividends overall. I think Croom showed some potential last year and could have a breakout year as well. -

McBeane's Moves Now Are For 2020 Success

Definitely not opposed to grabbing a TE in the draft, but I think the Bills may have something in Croom. The Bills most important needs in my opinion, both through FA and the draft, are WRs, the trenches, and a RB. -
Corey Liuget DT going to be cut

I follow the Chargers too and I think he would be a solid back-up who can spot fill as a starter. But for some reason, he hasn't been as explosive as past years. -

I thought it was trading the 2017 draft pick to KC. I’m so confused. Lol -

Rams might want to consider no huddle to get some rhythm. -

Guess who else has gotten sacked and taken out of FG range? Probably every QB at some point this season, but you tried to be funny by saying he went full Josh Allen, I felt the comment was lame and out of place. -

Pretty certain every sack is a “lost yard sack.” You’re making a point he ran backwards 14 yards and got sacked, and I’m calling false on that. -

False, Allen hardly took any like that. He did in preseason but not during the season. -

I think my point was pretty clear... you don't even know if the Bills would have taken him at 10 just like the 9 teams prior (Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco, Jacksonville, Tennessee, NY Jets, LA Chargers, Carolina, and Cincinnati) who all, minus maybe LA and Carolina, could have used a QB. Playing the hindsight game you are playing, no way he would have fallen to 10 anyway. You're point is falling on deaf ears. He is a Chief and not a Bill - get over it.

You don’t even know if the Bills would have taken him then if they didn’t trade! Your speaking in complete hindsight.

Geez, some of you here are completely short sighted and fail to see the big picture. This is about national exposure for Allen and the Bills win or lose. Allen can display his personality and leadership as well as arm talent. There’s a whole thread about Buffalo being a smaller market and the struggle to attract FA talent. If it the event doesn’t happen, the Bills still got some exposure. I thought we want to attract talent. And is it so bad if Allen and Mahomes chum it up and gain some mutual friendship and respect of each other?

Like I have stated in other threads about Williams, he has decent hands, excellent straight line speed, and is a strider. However, he is not a crisp route runner. He would be a solid #2 or #3, but he's not worth #1 money. He really excels at shallow drags and medium crossing routes because he can out run the defender and turn an 8yd crosser into 15-20 yard gains. He's a decent bomb threat. Where he struggles is trying to sell double cut moves because of his long legs, he tends to round his cuts.
