Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude
formerlyofCtown replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No WR on the Kc roster had 1000 yards. Watkins is their #2 WR not 3rd. Sammy's career and ability has been hampered by foot injuries and even with that I think he would be a number one on most teams. You are dilusional if you think John Brown (who I like) is a better WR than Watkins. The Rams are 4 deep and Cooks #s look pedestrian because of it. They also make very little use of their TE and RBs compared to an Andy Reed offense. Right now Josh is still developing so it isn't that easy to make an accurate assessment of our WRs. Lets not forget that Robert Woods was a terrible WR according to many on this board. -

Kelce is a TE. Sanu is not on the Falcon's and that makes me want to end this discussion now. I will humor you though as their #3 WR is some guy I've never heard of. Russell Gage, is that a household name and I'm just ignorant. -

Definitely agree. People will look for any reason they can to beat up on the guy. His stat sheet would be off the charts with just about any other team. KC really spreads the ball around to it's WRs. The #1 guy in that O is also the TE. -

So what's the problem? It's good that he listened to his teammate when he pointed it out. Don't quite agree with the no name bums part. You're talking about the 3rd WR. Is there a team that has Julio, Hopkins and Cooper? I still like Duke and McKenzie. I do hope we draft a big WR but an offseason where we don't replace almost all of our offensive roster would tell us what we have. I think people have forgotten that fact. I expect everyones performance to improve next season. -
Josh Allen vs. Russel Wilson Year 2

Well it's clear. You couldn't evaluate QBs before that draft and still can't evaluate them now. Josh Allen has steadily improved. Unfortunately your evaluation skills have not? -

In my opinion Dan Marino is the GOAT. I view SBs as a team accomplishment. As far as the comparison it is mainly based on the fact that they passed on both. I also think it would be nice to revisit this in a few years as to how he compares to Marino. Josh Allen definitely had GOAT potential. -

We also had the most revamped roster and depth chart for offense I can remember for any team. Except our guy led us to the playoffs because his play kept improving. I think if our play calling becomes a little less conservative we would be playing the Titans today regardless of piss poor ( possibly intensional) officiating. The other two QBs would be watching from home. I also think Allen does a decent job of reading the D but his accuracy is still a work in progress and he trys to do too much and that is the reason for his turnovers. I think Darnold has always had issues with reading the D. and this is the reason for his Ints. Thinking about the 2018 draft must be as hard as 1983. Your team passed on Marino in '83 and passed on Josh Allen in 2018. I know 2012 makes me sick, I really wanted Wilson and then Cousins. -

The Rooney Rule (still) isn’t working?
formerlyofCtown replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's an outdated rule. I think NFL teams already have a list in mind and the best man will get the job. -

That would be a great hire. Hopefully they arent smart enough to hire him. -
The Loss is on Mcdermot.

I was ready to agree with you and then I read your post. We got overly conservative when we should have kept the peddle to the floor. With that being said we F...d by the Refs. This isnt little league. A player is responsable for his laps in judgement. That was a fumble and a TD. -
Josh needs to work on the fumbling
formerlyofCtown replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No he doesnt need to work on it. I think he has fumbling down pat. Hopefully he works on ball security. -
The QB still throws the football. It's amazing how wishy washy people are. Great player not an All-Pro QB with 3100 yards. Those are 1990 QB numbers. To me it had to be Wilson for the simple fact that if I had to pick my guy for 1 game it would not be Jackson. 9-20 143 0 0 19-28 161 1 3 An All-Pro or MVP can't have games like this.
