Dorion Williams youngest LB in league this year to lead in tackles
ngbills replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exaclty -- You could put any college LB on the field and he can tally up tackle numbers. At LB all that really means is you were on the field. Things like sacks, TFL, int's, etc are more telling if you want to look at impact. You look deeper at Dorian and he blitzed 41 times with no sacks. Targeted 59 times and no int's, plus giving up a 107 qb rating, and missed 8.6% of his tacks. So you can look at the tackle numbers and be impressed, but the other side tells a different story. -
Dorion Williams youngest LB in league this year to lead in tackles

These kind of stats are funny to me. I could see next year he barely hits field if our LB's stay healthy. -
Bills have drafted a RB in the first 4 rounds four times since 2019. That is crazy. Especially given both the talent you can get in later rounds and how many good free agents are available for cheat at the position. So maybe we dont draft another RB early and trade that pick to move up or for a player that can help. Please dont draft a RB until 6/7th rounds.

Any guess which NFL is calling for the tush push ban? My money is on KC... No reason to ban it, but I am all for finding a new name and not allowing it to be called tush push.
-
But imagine if we had traded away the Elam, Kincaid, Coleman, Bishop picks. Where would this be…wait. Yes I would take difference makers at this point over draft picks that struggle to contribute.

That played - has to be Peterman.

Didnt we just see a story about Bills being least injured team again...

So if you have a qb like Allen in their prime, you could spend a ton of money to add playmakers. Have a good 5 year run. Then you may have one reset year that you eat a bunch of money or time it right and it’s when that Qb is due a new contract and they have a low cap hit year one.

Would take him in a heartbeat. Would be our best S in a very long time.

Deebo of a few years ago. Don’t think he has much left in the tank. -

What Position in Free Agency Puts Buffalo Over the Top?
ngbills replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Easy answer is Myles Garrett WR would help but not sure who that is...would have to be via trade as I dont see it in FA. I think a dominant safety would also boost this defense. -
Need a WR. You can only play the "every beat eats" or "Josh Allen do everything" game for a while. Adding a playmaker WR will make everything else easier.

Not using James Cook on final drive a head scratcher
ngbills replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone remember the drive earlier and Cook catching a few passes out of the backfield? With 3:33 to go Cook should have been either running the ball or available for the quick pass out of the backfield, especially since we knew KC was blitzing. Better blitz beater would be the Cook out of the backfield than a get rushed and huck the ball downfield. Maybe take a clue of what KC did to close out the game? -
Will there be any shock organizational moves in the coming days/weeks?
ngbills replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am good with that as well. As we have seen with our system that we can thrive with a lot of JAG's but lack star power. I dont see any draft pick or free agent that can do what Garrett would. -

And we will have a call reversed on TD or key first down using ball spotting technology...
-
Not an excuse. But I agree.
-
I would call it frustrated. Seeing how clearly the Bills should have the 4th and 1 play (not to mention the 3rd down play should have been spotted a first). You can only wonder how the game is different if the Bills get that first. Wondering why the Bills never tried anything different. On at least one of those short tush plays, they should have been creative and faked it. Man Kincaid. He should have caught that ball. And in watching that 4th and 1 over and over, guess who is right there kind of pushing Allen but not as powerfully as others have...but Kincaid. Two key plays and Kincaid not doing enough. Not to mention falling short on the 3rd down. How is our D that bad? We know KC is good but look what HOU was able to do the week before. I get they are gonna score. But may them look like they are in whole other league. Its going to be a long offseason...

There can be a long back and forth debate about draft picks etc. What is inexcusable is given the state of both franchises entering last draft essentially handing the Chiefs Worthy. He was exactly what they needed and there really wasn't many other options. The Bills have used significant resources on players like Harty, Samuel, etc yet chose not only not draft Worthy but let the Chiefs draft him. Ironically he is tto small yet he is pulling the ball from our guys, continuing progress on tackles to get 1st downs while we are getting pushed backwards short of the sticks.
