  1. Agreed. I would like to see them wait out on all of those signings. None scream of better get that guy before someone else does. Rapp looks overpay unless the report is greatly exaggerated. No way he should have gotten 3/$15M. Yes - weird use of "great start". Did some obvious things (Harty, Hines, Bates, Douglas, Miller), some tough things (Morse, White, Poyer) and some "what" things (Rapp, Haack, Trubisky).
  2. Still waiting on Rapp details. Hopefully its not actually $4-5M per with the guys available.
  3. Which is double his salary and in a year that the market is flooded. Never mind he was coming off a year that he started when we signed him. I seriously do But he would have been in high demand in the market.
  4. Hope so.
  5. We had Rapp last year. We know what we are getting with him. Don’t know why you give him that kind of money.
  6. Wow. With all the guys out there this stinks.
  7. First surprise move
  8. Yes and no. Hyde was a guy that played like 70% of the snaps in GB for a few years. Poyer played 90%+ the year before in CLE, though was on IR part of the year. Prior to that was a situational guy. But yes they both hit their stride in BUF and became all pros.
  9. Expected to be gone last year and returned. Could be back if Bills are not able to sign anyone else, but would be much cheaper.
  10. No brainer. Nothing to see here.
  11. We are not talking huge numbers here. But if we are cap strapped and counting pennies to sign at other positions then I let Edwards walk and use a rookie or vet minimum guy be our OL depth and extra OL. But at most its like a $1.3M overpay.
  12. You could go down the list of every super bowl winning team and find free agents that led to a super bowl win. It may always not be in year 1 of their deal but every team is built with both free agents and draft picks. If you are trying to say a free agent that single handedly won a super bowl that is not really realistic because now it is basically an argument around QB's. But you then have Stafford, Brady, Manning in the last few years.
  13. Mangas is Brady's guy. Shula wasnt. Simple as that.
  14. Buyers market if you want an older S, or any S for that matter. Draft one this year or next and sign a couple vets on 1 year deals. Or if pricing is down get a younger guy on the cheap for 3-5 years.
  15. AD Mitchell vs Gabe Davis - Draft Profile Comps Very similar size but Mitchell is much more athletic - faster, jump higher and farther, etc. 40 Time - Mitchell 4.34 vs 4.54 10 yd split - Mitchell 1.52 vs 1.56 Vert Jump - Mitchell 39.5 vs 35 Broad Jump - 11'4 vs 10'4 Ht and Wt - Mitchell 6'2, 205 vs 6'2, 216 Hand - Mitchell 9 vs 9 1/4 Arm - Mitchell 32 3/8 vs 32 1/4
  16. Phillip McCrevis from East Florida JUCO
  17. They are always better. The guys that leave sucked anyway. Addition by subtraction. The guys that come in are all superstars and hidden gems. Clear upgrades across the board.
  18. Which is why it is unbelievable people thought he was worth $5M. I am guessing he will get essentially vet min wherever he goes. Assuming there are any takers.
  19. The nfl is full Of jag’s. You can throw just about any of them on the field and call it an emergence. They made the nfl fit a reason. All pro level guys is another story. You don’t get rid of all pros and replace them with jag’s.
  20. I want big and fast. Praying Brian Thomas is there.
  21. Cant forecast Hines injury...ok. He is a guy that barely got any snaps and was set top be paid $5M. In jury or no injury he was not sticking around.
  22. Even bigger no brainer
  23. No brainer. But I was told by many on here it was not happening. Thank goodness.
  24. I am waiting to read: Allen and a bunch of other restrux Dawkins extended Harty released Hines released or renegotiated Bates released or renegotiated
