I entered a mock draft contest at my brother's work so I figured I'd upload that to my website for historical purposes too. https://draftqbs.wordpress.com/2018-mock-draft/

My rankings/scouting reports for this year's QB crop
DCOrange replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since he's been talked about so incredibly little, I figured this would be a good place to post this: Story about Luis Perez's amazing journey to the NFL http://www.profootballweekly.com/2018/04/25/from-bowling-star-to-qb-in-five-years-luis-perez-is-the-nfl-drafts-most-unlikely-prospect/a6p505x/ -
My gut instinct all along has been that the Jets (and Bills for that matter) would be higher on Allen than they were on Mayfield or Rosen. But having said that, I could easily see the sudden rumors of the Jets preferring both Josh's over Darnold as a smokescreen. It accomplishes one of two things: 1. If the Bills want one of the Josh's and the Jets want Darnold, it gets the Bills to sacrifice valuable assets to move up higher than necessary to get their guy. 2. If the Bills want Darnold and the Jets want Darnold, it gets the Bills to think they can safely wait and move up to 4 or 5 instead of 2 and end up allowing the Jets to get their guy instead.

LaCanfora: Bills Doubling Back on Rosen
DCOrange replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not really a fan of Rosen (relatively speaking), but in the very least, it's good to see how thorough the Bills are being about the whole process. -
Why Do You Think Bills Are Waiting to Make a Deal
DCOrange replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because McBeane is smart Because the Jets are dumb -
Charlie Campbell's latest Bills rumors
DCOrange replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah haha, it's all relative, but I remember there was a website basically dedicated to scoring mock drafts based on getting the team and the pick correct (basically got half credit if you got the slot right but the wrong team or vice versa) and he was #1 last year. I'm familiar with him from when he was a Bucs writer and he was extremely well connected to the team back then. He's well connected around the league at this point despite working for a total douchebag in Walter. -
Charlie Campbell's latest Bills rumors
DCOrange replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's nothing wrong IMO with liking QBs of varying skillsets. In fact, I think that's the smartest way to go, especially considering how little is currently set in stone on the offensive side of the ball. -
Charlie Campbell's latest Bills rumors
DCOrange replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Walter isn't very good but Charlie is very well-connected and had, I believe, the most accurate mock draft of all the media outlets last year. -
Published this morning: http://walterfootball.com/nflhotpress I can't directly quote it because the website is blocked on my work computer (I read it on my phone), but to summarize: He's hearing that the Bills are NOT interested in Lamar Jackson, citing the need to build an offense around his skillset as something that Buffalo is not interested in. Buffalo's preference of QBs is: Sam Darnold Josh Allen Josh Rosen Baker Mayfield and they like all four of them. He also says that if they're able to keep #22, they'd be targeting CB, LB, or O-Line, and he specifically mentions Isaiah Oliver, Donte Jackson, and Rashaan Evans as the 3 guys to watch.

I contributed too you know... But seriously, thanks to all the guys OP mentioned for everything they've provided. It's been a fun ride. I mentioned it in another thread last night, but regardless of which QB we all personally want, it seems like it's a pretty safe bet that by the end of the night, Buffalo will have acquired its most physically talented QB that it's had in nearly 20 years. Even if it isn't the one we all personally want, we should all be very excited by the end of the night.

If the Jets get Rosen tonight, Beane failed
DCOrange replied to T-Bomb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mayfield on the Bills? Nah. Lamar is the guy I want the most; Rosen the least (of the projected first rounders that is). Edit: I don't consider Rudolph a 1st rounder or he'd be below Rosen easily. -

I honestly hope that Rosen is the one the Jets end up with -
Mayfield has now become the betting favorite in Vegas to go #1 after it being Darnold basically the entire year.

He reportedly filled the front office/coaching staff in on who the pick is yesterday.

So Bills fans want Eli Manning
DCOrange replied to racketmaster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m hoping for better than a potentially injury prone Eli, but um, you could do a lot worse than being pretty certain you’re getting an above average starter. -
Besides the big arm, Mahomes and Allen aren’t all that similar IMO. Mahomes was somewhat undersized, smallish hands, uber productive and Mayfield-esq in terms of being kinda frenetic in the pocket. I think he’s more similar to Mayfield honestly. Cardale simply wasn’t a good prospect. Its possible that Peterman and McCarron aren’t the preference; they simply were the best remaining options. I admit you might be right about the Peterman/McCarron angle though. Although I don’t think Peterman was an accurate passer in college either; he really wasn’t good at anything in particular.

We May Need to Resign Ourselves to Allen at 5
DCOrange replied to Midwest1981's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He absolutely did. Roughly 3-5 times per game and that's not even counting RPOs and other QB Keepers that they ran. -
Interesting Take From QB Guru on Allen
DCOrange replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've seen this posted a few times, but it's very strange because Barnwell posted an article roughly a week ago that laid out all the numbers and found that while Allen did indeed attempt 30.7% of his passes under 5 yards, that was significantly lower than Darnold, Baker, or Rosen, who were all between 38-40%.
