  1. Yes true, but they still used a high pick on his replacement. I think they had to start Dane since Elam was bad early.
  2. I think it is all a fair question. I mean Chase Diggs and Kelce are the best offensive players on that list and they each have one. I still say it's Mahomes, Allen, Burrow... I do think the Bills need to draft better and need to find a marquee receiver to add to Diggs, but the OL is mostly young and cost controlled. I put our O line above the Bengals as currently constituted. Obviously they beat us up in the playoffs, but they aren't good. I put KC first but have serious questions about Taylor to LT and whoever is going to play RT. Call me crazy. IMO, the Bills need to add OBJ and add more pass rush.
  3. I think you are thinking safety Jaun Thornhill
  4. Close to zero chance that happens imo. He's going to say that, but it's a lie. Same thing we heard about Dane Jackson and the depth corners before they drafted Elam.
  5. Bobby Wagner or Drue Tranquill, D'Onta Foreman, and a swing tackle, and I would be very happy. The bodies are thinning out. The TE market is probably being held up by a strong draft. No one wants to spend a zillion dollars on Dalton Shultz when they can wait. WR is probably held up by OBJ, DHop, etc.
  6. In free agency, it's Wagner grizzled vet, Drue Tranquill young vet with upside, gap, Anthony Walker Jr, Denzel Perryman, Rashaan Evans, and Devin Bush. If they don't add Wagner or Tranquill, and if Beane starts talking up Bernard and Dodsone and Spector, they are drafting a guy. I love Campbell, I assume they love Simpson.
  7. The fact that the agent hasn't leaked the details is a great sign.
  8. This is all way better than the alternative that's for damn sure.
  9. He's a nice player. He tackles. He can't cover, so curious to see where it helps them. And an NFC team who has no chance at a super bowl and we just played this year, so we won't see him for a few years.
  10. Yeah, I hold out hope that they are in on OBJ or D Hop. I don't really like the guys in the draft. But with the Harty addition, I suppose they are showing they are trying to add offensive weapons/speed, and with the McGovern addition, they are attempting to upgrade their OL and protect Josh. I agree that they need to upgrade from Davis. I actually like the O line if McGovern winds up on the right with Bates moving to the left. But it is all about Allen. In terms of KC, they lost their RT and LT and replaced the left tackle they spent some draft capital on with a guy who has never played left tackle in the pros. They signed a journeyman DE with potential to 2 years 20 mil and cut Frank Clark. They also lost Smith-Schuster and Juan Thornhill. They also lost Khalen Saunders who was an important part of their defensive line. I'm sure they will add bandwagon offensive pieces who will take less to play with Mahomes. The Bengals signed Brown which is a huge upgrade for them, which signals that their 1st round OL was a waste. At the same time, they lost two safeties, one an all-pro, and Perine who was valuable to them. They also lost Hayden Hurst, who was pretty good last year as well. And of course the big elephant in the room is all the free agents they have coming, including the QB. They are also hosting Cody Ford, which is a net negative. They did sign Pratt back, but they have Wilson and Akeem Davis-Gaither waiting in the wings. An argument could be made that they should have used that money on offense. If you look at it on the surface, the Bills added more to their offense than those other teams. Maybe it's not as high profile, but they are certainly trying to help Josh, the question is, is it enough?
  11. I could see the Browns, Cardinals, and maybe the Broncos. The Browns need a 3 tech, the Cards are switching to Gannon's 4-3 and I am guessing Vance Joseph will move the broncos to a 4-3 (though he ran a 3-4 in Arizona.. I would say it's unlikely. I think he is a good fit here and getting better.
  12. The guy I like who is starting to excel a bit is Foster Moreau. He can block, do some receiving. He is really a high-end #2. He's probably too expensive for the role he would have here, but I like him.
  13. You still have D'onta Foreman out there. Kareem Hunt, Damein Harris. I like Foreman the most on that Perine contract. 2/7.5...Harris seems like he could be an interesting buy low.
  14. I think fans feel let down because they aren't willing to accept that this team believes in Spencer Brown, Gabe Davis, and Ryan Bates. They believe Dion Dawkins is a left tackle. They signed Harty and McGovern because they believe they upgrade the team, whether we do or not is irrelevant. People keep talking about holes on the OL, moving Dion, and needing a #2 receiver...the bottom line is that McBeane appears to believe in these guys so they aren't looking for their replacements. So if our analysis doesn't match theirs, well then we will be disappointed. I'm not saying anyone is necessarily right or wrong. Are they going to sign some D linemen half the board has never heard of? Probably. Are they going to use their first pick in the draft on defense? Maybe. It's why they are where they are and I am sitting in front of a Chromebook writing this instead of working. This doesn't mean that they won't add, but they don't seem to have the same priorities as us, and well, they run the ship.
  15. It’s just a net plus/minus. Right now we lost two and signed two UFAs. Keenum/Edmunds and McGovern/Harty cancel each other out. I am not sure if K. Allen counts. Poyer leaving would have added to the other side, which puts a 3rd round pick in play. Since he re-signed he doesn’t affect the formula either way. If Singletary goes and we don’t sign anyone else, that comp pick is back in play. The only other somewhat noteworthy free agent we have is Saffold. I assume that the Bills will sign a linebacker, maybe an RB and another OL somewhere here, so that makes this whole thing moot.
  16. And I’m not complaining about it, it just doesn’t seem to a be a thing in their wheelhouse, though we discuss it on here a lot. They target specific players every year and most of them are UFAs. Some teams just don’t sign anyone for what ever reason.
  17. Honestly, this was probably the year to play the comp pick game and they are clearly not going to do it. They target specific players and it doesn’t appear that they take the comp pick game into account.
  18. I get the feeling he wants a lot and its hard to justify. The entire tight end class except Josh Oliver has moved slow and that could be a side effect of the positional strength of TE in the draft. He probably takes a 1 year deal to play with a top QB for a year.
  19. Man so many people loved Jonah Williams here. Never draft a non left tackle, non elite linemen high. Jonah is probably fine as a guard. He was never going to be a good left tackle. I still think his best position is center.
  20. Yeah I like him for sure. His dad is just an example of what I deal with on the HS level all the time.
  21. You guys see Daniel Bellinger’s dad complaining that Tim Graham said Darren Waller is better? He’s DMing a reporter defending his adult son who is in the pros. A sign of things to come with parents in sports.
  22. I love Pollard, but he is really job share guy, like a James Cook…doesn’t mean they will take Robinson, but I do think they add there.
  23. Foreman should be available with the Panthers signing Miles Sanders
  24. I keep checking back for updates. And then I come in and I just feel like the Popeyes kid
