Glazer: Bills are still in market for a WR

I love that he said that. And he is a 100% right. -
Glazer: Bills are still in market for a WR

The Mike Evans idea is a really interesting one. Seems unrealistic, but I could see our team going all in on him. McDermott and company saw him a lot in the NFC south and he's a big target and a go to guy. But like I said, it seems like a bit of a pipe dream. But he's still very young and fits into teh window of contention they are trying to build to. -
Is Tremaine Edmunds the answer at MLB?

So is Reid Ferguson really the answer at long snapper????? ? -
We're turning Allen into Tyrod
MrEpsYtown replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Allen. I do think he is playing way too conservative. I think you have to adjust with the flow of the game, meaning when the defense is playing well, don't put them in bad spots. When it's clear they don't have it, you have to take a few shots. That said, in terms of protection, when teams blitz we are having a really tough time seeing it and picking it up. On the flip side, when teams rush four and drop 7 into coverage, no one is open. Establishing the run game helps both of those situations, but I have to say that I pin all of this on the coaching. Sometimes this team looks unprepared and that's what they looked like yesterday. -
R Talbot (via ESPN) - bills on the hunt for a WR
MrEpsYtown replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Kenny Stills was the guy to get, perfect fit with Josh, but that ship has sailed. Will Fuller is another I'd give up a good pick for, but he is hurt. The other guy, at least in my mind is Robbie Anderson, but I wonder if the Jets will trade in division or not. -
I like Tremaine a lot. I'd like to see them use him a bit more as a blitzer because that is a strong part of his skill set that I feel is being underutilized. The fact is that his size and speed alone take away a lot of throw quarterbacks like to make between the linebacker and safety zones. Teams simply can't attack there with Tremaine lingering. Like Gunner said, he's been in the wrong gap from time to time, but that will improve with time.

You are probably right. Each guy probably uses like 3 helmets. Apparently you are allowed to change the decals, that's why we can still use the standing Buffalo helmet.

https://uni-watch.com/an-faq-for-the-nfls-helmet-rule/ When was the rule enacted? The rule came to light in September of 2013, when the Buccaneers announced that their “Bucco Bruce”-era throwbacks, which they had planned to wear later that month, were being scrapped because the NFL had quietly approved a recommendation by two of the league’s advisory panels — the Head, Neck, and Spine Committee and the Player Safety Advisory Panel — that limited teams from switching helmets during the season. The Buccaneers’ normal helmets are pewter and the throwback helmets were white, so wearing the throwback uniforms would have necessitated a new set of helmets. Teams had routinely used new helmet sets for throwback games in the past, but it was no longer possible under the new rule. What is the thinking behind the rule? The idea is to limit the number of helmets that players wear during a season, because new helmets can be unsafe if they’re worn fresh out of the box, without a lengthy “break-in” period. I guess an easy fix would to have players wear two helmets during the offseason, OTAs etc so they are both broken in.

Matt Lauer begs to differ.

Zay Jones traded to Raiders for 5th rounder
MrEpsYtown replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any internet tough guys who jumped on @Alphadawg7 earlier this season want to man up and give him his props? Yes Zay made the opening roster, but analysis was on point and he only made it through 4 weeks and 1 play. Good riddance Zay. I hope you had the time of your life. -
Injury updates - Morse, Milano, Murphy, Ford
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good thing the front office did not listen to the people on here who thought 9-10 OL was crazy and that 8 is fine. -
He was the #1 guy coming out of high school so there is a ton of raw ability there. He really was a victim of circumstance in college, but he still has a long way to go. No sure if it sustains, but they guy has some pedigree. He and Josh train together with Darnold and I think we had him in for a workout last year before he re-signed with the Panthers.

Revisiting Beane's most subtly brilliant move as GM
MrEpsYtown replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me, long term, Bates is a center. He has very short arms and I don't think he has a chance to hold up long term at tackle. He did a great job filling in for an emergency situation, but I do think he would be exposed if he played there full time. I do like him though, and I could see him taking over for Morse in a couple of years. -

It's the Jon Feliciano signing. Now I know he is a Bobby Johnson guy, but his signing changed a lot in my view. He was not on anyone's radar and I don't think anyone thought he was really going to start, but that guy has been the glue that brings an attitude adjustment to the offensive line. He's nasty, but he's good to, plus he's versatile. He's my unsung, under the radar big time move. -
Cody Ford was bad - again & again he was while at RT
MrEpsYtown replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Ford is going to be fine. Most of his mistakes seem to be technique things. He is just raw. He is a work in progress, but there is no doubt that Nsehke has outplayed him. Hell, Ryan Bates did not look half bad. But keep the faith, Ford will be good, he just needs so time. The bye week will do him good to kind of reset his mind and set new goals for improvement. -
Sure feels like it's going to become the Rex ryan show there.

Taylor Lewan appreciation thread
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both Lewan and Conklin sucked today. Top ten drafted tackles never made much sense to me, unless they are Joes Thomas elite. -
Offensive line substitution question
MrEpsYtown replied to The Dean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks like Morse got hurt with about 8 minutes left in the 2nd, and looks like Long came in and Feliciano moved over to center. Ford got hurt with 453 left in the third and that's the first time I saw Bates. BTW I think both Long and Bates played pretty well. -
Pat DiMarco in concussion protocol (update - cleared)
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lee Smith can play some fullback (he did this quite a bit with the Raiders), and we have enough hybrid players type guys like MoRax, Neal, Coleman, that we should be okay without Thompson. Did he get IR'ed? -
Mariota very effective vs Blitz, what's the D´s Game Plan?
MrEpsYtown replied to Antonio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Play coverage and keep him in the pocket. Get pressure up the middle with Oliver. I think he controls the game up the middle and the guards will be overmatched. -
He's terrible. That's all. A lot of people explained this in that massive Zay Jones thread over the summer. He's been on the field a lot and has been targeted a lot but has not produced....and the numbers say that a lot of his production came when the outcome of games were already determined. (I posted all this in that summer thread so not going to put it here again). In terms of what you could get for him, probably someone else's draft bust. Like Dallas just cut Taco Charlton, that's the kind of return you could expect. Honestly I still think trading Zay to the Niners for Solomon Thomas makes the most sense. Zay is probably a good fit in the Shanahan system (though he will still need to learn how to catch) and Thomas has been a massive disappointment and buried on the depth chart, but would be a great replacement for Harrison Phillips, who could also play some end if needed. Both need a change of scenery.

I think Brown is mostly playing like a #1 right now, but other guys need to step up, whether it be Zay or Foster. I would like to see Duke Williams up. But we are seeing a shift a bit to a more tight end heavy attack, and I do think Tyler Kroft will surprise some when he is finally back. Knox is the guy who we will see continue develop throughout the season. Knox has game breaking potential, which we all saw yesterday. If you look down the list of bad teams, I think one of Robby Anderson and Devante Parker are no brainers to try to acquire. Both are on terrible teams. I really wasn't for an Anderson acquisition earlier this year, but honestly he makes a ton of sense now. It appears that Gase is not a fan of his and that team is obviously in disarray. Even when Darnold was playing, he could not get the ball to Anderson. Robby was also a college teammate of Dion Dawkins if concerned about comfort level and character. Really outside of those two guys, I'm not sure what else could be out there that makes sense, and perhaps it is too early to tell right now.
