That was a soul crushing loss. Nothing has topped that in my life. I wasn't around for the four SB losses. Losing a close SB would suck. But it wouldn't top 13 seconds. If the Bills play mistake free against the Panthers, they will win. If not, they can definitely lose. The Panthers are good enough to take advantage of mistakes.

two Player that can really change the Bills

If they add on Spags, maybe we will give them a third. -
Allen with an Eagles like roster would set postseason records. No defense is stopping Allen, Barkley, Smith, and Brown. They would murder every opponent they face. It would be crazy. Nothing is guaranteed. We don't know what would happen with a new HC. But we do know what is happening with the current HC. Nothing. It's been 8 years with Allen. Four losses to the same team. I've said this before. McDermott would have been fired by 2022 at the latest if he were in a similar situation with KC, Eagles, or even the Patriots. Those organizations, like them or not, are obsessed with SB wins. Heck, if the Eagles missed the postseason next year, I could see them firing Sirianni. McDermott would be here for life with a SB win. Is this ownership group like that?

What do you mean. Are you saying the Bills aren't as successful historically as them? Yeah his reputation is that he's a pos. At least according to opponents. But every interview and so forth shos he's a good guy.

Isn't Watson always injured? That would be a big risk. -
Oof. Allen to Evans. It's nice to imagine. Bills would be unstoppable. Look at what he did with Winston. Bills go into KC with a DL consisting of Aaron Donald. That right there would be a complete game changer. I understand the draft can be a crapshoot. But boy I feel sad now. I agree it's sad what happened to Evans. I do feel for Mayfield because he is doing everything possible to win with all the injuries. If they can get fully healthy for the postseason, watch out. They are a team fully capable of winning a SB imo.

No arguing about it...they do. Lol I don't. They have won two SB's in twenty three years. Have had great QB play for six plus years now. Are a shoe in to win the division every year. They have seen more success than half the league has.
-
Yeh I think winning the division and having our annual playoff loss to KC would be worse compared to making the postseason as a WC and going one and done. Or not making it all. Winning the division might make ownership believe things are still great. Losing the division to the Patriots will raise alot of eyebrows. For many years the goal was getting by KC. Now, KC isn't the primary concern for the Bills. NE is.

Evans turned 25 when Allen was drafted. What a duo that could have been.

Bills’ greatest needs heading into the trade deadline?

Adam Henry. Recently completed his doctorate degree in educational leadership from Fayetteville State University. Good news is he has options if he gets canned. -

Olave or Shaheed for WR. If New Orleans wants a 1st rounder, just give it to them. Hopefully they go for a 2nd though. No receiver upgrade coming out of the deadline s a fireable offense. -
Correct. This is my issue with McDermott. He is a defensive HC with not so good defenses. What does he actually contribute to on field success? Now the offense is being affected by trying to compensate for the defensive shortcomings. The Bills have two units not performing. Worrisome statement for sure. I never heard this from a Belichick, Reid, or McVay coached team.

Truly elite QB's don't panic when trailing. They embrace the challenge and conquer accordingly. They can beat great defenses and put fear into every opponent. Not to mention the ability to read defenses, readjust after defenses adjust and so forth. Let's see what he does in these types of situations.

He's a good QB. But Mac Jones & Tua also looked decent at first as well. DC's are going to get more and more tape on him.

AFC West "race" was a tease. It appears Denver and the Chargers are collapsing. -
This. Also, I think it would be different if Maye was doing this on the Jets or Dolphins. Many people (not necessarily here) would be saying it's a hot streak and not freaking out. After all, both of those teams have a history of ineptitude. It would be easier to ignore. Because it's the Patriots, and Brady only left six years ago, people automatically assume they will just dominate again like with Brady. And go back to winning SB's most years.

This. And I feel as though that would be manageable if the defense was elite. But it's both units. That is what differs from other years. It has never felt this bad in the Allen era.
