  1. I was being sarcastic about starting Hart to protect Bates... And I guess Van Roten was playing C against the Panthers.
  2. Hopefully we can bring Jack Anderson back to be our #2 C.
  3. Ah cool, maybe we start Hart at OG so we can keep Bates healthy in case he needs to snap the ball?
  4. Same, who's the backup C? Bates?
  5. Fair enough, the point I'm trying to make between the use of multiple slot, bunch and tight sets, the skill set usually needed to play slot wr i.e. quick and shifty vs 'outside' wr is utilized more often in out offense. Diggs has the skillet for both positions, but he's not the prototype 6' 4" 225lbs "outside" receiver. Davis is more prototype for outside. But the Bills value the route running and quickness needed to play slot more than the size and strength of outside receivers, and imo you see that reflected in the styles of routes and formations.
  6. Not at all what I'm saying. I'm saying the Bills use a lot of formations where there's more receivers lined up in the slot than outside. Like on this play, where Diggs, Davis and Bease were in the slot and Kumerow and Brieda we're the outside receivers: And on this play were all 3 wr's are lined up in the slot:
  7. I'm pretty sure we use more 2 slot wr formations than two outside wr formations. If wr 1 or 2 is out we're going to see a lot of McKenzie and Crowder on the field at the same time. With Shakir being a chess piece that can move around. The times we do see Kumerow on the field is in 2 wr sets bc we want to run and he's a better blocker than Diggs or Sanders was.
  8. I wonder if they value Anderson more than Van Roten?
  9. I think he made McD's favorite play in all of football, trying to avoid a safety while helmetless: https://youtu.be/9KAtMVk9xEo
  10. Not setting up a FG on the left hash when the wind was blowing left to right was a big thing. Bass missed wide right. Had he made that from the left hash, our last drive would have set him up for a game winning fg.
  11. They need to Trade Joe. And do out in Publix. Or else we just look like all Piggly Wiggly.
  12. No soup for you!
  13. I hear you, but even if wr1 or 2 is out, we don't run, or need to run two outside wr formations even 50% of the snaps. With all of the tight and bunch formations we use, and the use of TE's and RB's outside in 5 wide sets I don't see it being a big issue.
  14. We run a lot of formations with two wr spots inside and one outside. And also use our TE's and our rb's outside a lot in formations that have 2 outside wrs. I thought Shakir was a perfect wr for this team, since he's 6' 195lbs frame serves him well inside and out. He's a bigger target than Manny Sands for sure. I do wish we had a #5 or #6 wr with Kumerow or Hodgins size that was more of a threat. But if they were, they probably wouldn't be wr 5 or 6.
  15. Dropping that beautiful play action TD in NE was all it took!
  16. I wonder what Naaman Roosevelt, Kwame Cavil and Avion Black are up to these days?
  17. Boooo! lol, These guys are tracking in one place: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2022/8/29/23326882/buffalo-bills-roster-cuts-tracker-2022
  18. Or they plan to still with Tommy Doyle... Or maybe even Spencer Brown in that role.
  19. Araiza's attorney said that Matt was aware of the accusations in the late fall of 2021. There is no proof yet that he was aware that he was under police investigation. However, the university was informed. The police conducted pretext calls and they executed search warrants seizing terrabytes of data. Did they get his phone and computer without him knowing?
  20. That was the interview where a lot of us learned that Araiza isn't disputing that he had sex with her but didn't force her into anything, and his lawyer put out the idea that one of the other teammates mentioned in the law suit "is in a very different position" in relation to being charged. This is where we leaned that Araiza knew of the accusations in the fall of 2021 and his attorney said "you better believe he" informed the NFL of those accusations. But the attorney has walked that back and the NFL says Araiza didn't inform them. The Bills wouldn't have been in the position they were in if Araiza didn't withold the info that he was under investigation for an alleged rape. Because the Bills wouldn't have drafted him.

  22. He had said all of that last week on CBS San Diego.
  23. He said nothing new in that interview that he hadn't already said. Most of us who have been following read far more about this than you apparently.
  24. Sure. But if you bring a girl you just had sex with into a bedroom and throw her on a bed where your friends are waiting and they sexually assault her, that's a very different set of circumstances. Could be.
  25. The question is whether he had anything to do with delivering her to his teammates or not. In other words, was he an upperclassmen getting a girl for the freshmen on the team? He says absolutely not. She says the guy she had sex with outside brought her in the house. The police investigated for 9 months and called their investigation very "complex." The DA is reviewing the case, and any claim that a choice was made not to charge is total conjecture. We just don't know.
