  1. Chiefs activate Michael Bolton. I celebrate his whole catalog.
  2. Give me a break. This is the 2nd or 3rd hit piece Dunes attempted. His :13 second work didn't have the impact he wanted, so here we go again. It does not matter if you talk to 25 people or 100.... if you walk into the project with the central thesis burned into your brain and already written . This wasn't a comparative fair study, Dune went into this w a goal in mind of smearing McD. He found folks who would assist him and promote that, and gave alternative viewpoints only a smidgen if any acknowledgement. I don't need to talk to 25 people....Dunes put his material out their for fair scrutiny, and it does not pass the sniff test. The timing here was intended and overt: he wanted to kick Billsmafia when we were down. He wanted to affect the news, not report the news. To be frank, given how outright silly and petty many of the assertions are, it's just a shame this garbage has gained traction.
  3. I thought McDs presser was genuine and from the heart. I don't think he's fake at all. That perspective baffles me. He was noticably distressed in his eyes. I think it's fair to critique McD. There's been some issues over the years. But there's also been high positives. As I said, I'm not at all happy w how the Von Miller situation is being handled. Again, Dunne was very much a product and ally of the former Whaley regime. There was also likely some serious offense he perceives from McD that prematurely ended or derailed his legit media career. This is my speculation at least. I think he's very biased and dedicated to bring down McD.
  4. Idk he was on McD right from word go. He thought Beane was a weak sauce crony hire as well.
  5. Pacheco is out I don't think it's the best crew they've had. They have played well....but better depth on the old teams and better back end. I think these LBs may be the best when healthy....but they're not.
  6. Are you Dunne? He's regularly written hit pieces on McD and Beane. Had it out for them almost from the start. He had a preamble :13 second piece filled with stretchy garbage and conjecture 2 years ago. He hits McD like a part time job. I've heard he was a Monos and Whaley fan and is sour grapes since.
  7. Sure, he fairly mentioned it. ...but he's a hack so yes, it was pretty obvious that he needed to.
  8. They've had back to back losses before. But yeah, this team is just different...the least talented they've had. By far. Now they are hurting. We are a bad matchup for the Chiefs in general. Despite our problems we have dogs on the DL this year. Look, we didn't play our best game last year and still won. We had 2 red zone turnovers (?) . Again, truth to the notion we've lost to much worse teams. But I just have a solid feeling the team is going to be tuned in.
  9. Nope he did not. Here's the citation. Definitely paraphrases most of the substance . He used some exact quotes that I highly doubt are exact quotes. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/during-2021-team-meeting-sean-mcdermott-cited-9-11-attacks-as-example-of-teamwork
  10. I think the team will take care of business this weekend despite this crazy storm. Hope they turn inward to each other.
  11. IMO screw Tyler Dunne. I've never liked him, he's always dripped of ambition and is sour grapes he's not treated like a real press guy. He's just always rubbed me the wrong way. McD looks like he said some dumb / unnecessary anecdote that was likely in bad taste 4 years ago. Sean is many things, but he's a patriot and no sympathizer w 911 hijackers. I'd have to have heard the exact pitch to pass further judgement, really we all should. Dunne does a huge disservice by throwing this out there without the exact context and exact words. I've heard 20 reporters paraphrase what was said today and each one has phrased it differently.
  12. No, I'm law enforcement. Most of my experience is federal, but a healthy dose of a few different states. I think the grey area occurs because there are some stages of the court process where essentially charges get levied in different degrees. Plus, we are talking about semantics .....which is a critical and complex legal question. For example the term "arrested" or "arrest" is a legally broad term that has been applied to substantial detentions, probable cause based arrests, or formal arrests via indictments or complaints. Von is facing the last type. It's the most substantial/ strongest and typically requires a judge to review and sign the warrant. That's the rub here; some folks spent time and effort here. I honestly don't think the Bills or NFL would try to bury the cam footage. Most of that can be FOIA'd via Texas / Dallas process. The state and local usually release them eventually - most of the time fairly quickly. The only reason I can't think is maybe to protect victims in DV they have some restrictions. I'd bet the local radio station is working hard to get the footage as well.
  13. I've never argued that I knew everything. I know enough and enough facts are record and easily obtained that Beane was being slick and slimy w his take. It's a bad look for the Bills. In fact, not knowing the whole deal is precisely the argument to put Von on some form of shelf. We don't know how this will go, and if I were Buff I'd play it safe.
  14. Yeah for a short time for investigative detention but not for long. That's a fairly substantial constitutional violation.
  15. I would guess not guilty, but he may not have been arraigned. Since it would be by complaint, that may happen after indicted or PC hearing. That may be the kicker. He's certainly had an initial however.
  16. For God's sake the legal beagles that show up. He was charged. He was arrested, booked, arraigned and posted bail. They can't propose bail or keep you detained after arrest without charging. If Von had not posted bond he'd still be in the can. I'm not going to dispute that you can be arrested without being charged in some cases. But, not when a warrant was issued, executed and those subsequent steps occured.
  17. I just can't believe the stuff on this thread. Folks, there is an affidavit with numerous details. Physical evidence. Then law enforcement swore to the validation of these articulable facts, it was scrutinized by a judge and a warrant was issued. I repeat: there is physical evidence, possible also multiple phones w video and audio evidence, and real documented injuries. There is a detailed 911 call from the event as well. Then we have a radio station saying she recanted. It's so common for victims to recant and play down DV events, especially when spouses are wealthy or physically overpowering. The capper is Von has been accused of this before. I can't say it's not possible the wife made aspects up or exaggerated, but it's more likely Von did do this in some form . Yes, innocent until proven guilty. However in the NFL making 20 million per year their is a status quo of many folks being suspended or placed on admin leave while the process plays out. This would most certainly happen to many professionals like teachers, cops, politicians, or business folks. Just a bad look by the Bills here who are actually lying or blindly ignoring data that is readily at hand. Beane says he doesn't have enough info yet, but the affidavit has been released and the 911 call also reviewed by the same Dallas news organizations. Says waiting for him to get charged or does not think he will be charged when he has been formally charged with an aggravated felony. Just a terrible look for Beane and the Bills. Really makes me question everything w this staff. Frankly, my ability to root on the team.
  18. Yeah i totally agree. Its not like its uncommon for folks facing charges or even a serious uncharged incident to face suspension, administrative leave or some for of paid leave pending investigation or fact finding. In fact, the NFL does this all the time. As many pointed out did this with several cases where no one was (ever) charged.... The 800 pound gorilla in the room is the evidence i spoke of. There is significant evidence in this case, supposedly video evidence. (this came from Joe Marino or Matt Parrino I believe) You gotta ask yourself if your Beane if there does turn out to be video, and if it does not look good...do you want to be embarrassed further? man I'd put him on sabbatical.
  19. That news article is wrong charges were filed. He's had his arraignment, initial appearance before a judge and posted bail. That's the process. In most cases, the next step is either dismissal , indictment via a grand jury or a probable cause hearing. If not charged, what the hell did he post bail for? Fun?
  20. Worse was there was a full blown warrant. Not like he was arrested in the act. Someone cut an affidavit and got it signed by a judge, who reviewed the facts and deemed Probable cause. At some point the affidavit may get released and we will have a bunch of facts. If they do more work w phones, may even be video.
  21. He has been charged. Bills and Beane are wrong here. What they really mean is they don't think the "charges will stick".... It's pretty gutless. You are correct sir. I can't believe the BS some in NFL and Bills are spewing.
