  1. I agree. We need to get Davis some reps. I know he hasn't dazzled but we need to spell cook. Long season. A few of my additional thoughts: Groot a couple solid run fills but MIA for most of the game. Bosa good , bad and elite. He whiffs on some contain. But he is a closer. INT was bad call and bad sequence by Brady. Going for deep shot on 3rd and 10 in own end was just silly. Rattler was tough and Saints played tough. They are closer to decent than the obnoxious spread. Our defense to me looks like it is often " outflanked" especially....big trouble with contain and QB contain on decent pressure. I don't feel we get pushed around or dominated though.
  2. He had a couple good run stops today but was otherwise not the factor you want.
  3. That will be one for bosa. Pretty good game for bosa lost contain again a couple times. But some good pressure
  4. I am not going to excuse some of the defensive lapses but Brady is a big goat in this game. Really unbalanced. Just some questionable stuff.
  5. My take is Kamara receiving production is not really anything you can compare with Cook. Perhaps cook would be capable of this in some other offense or with a different focus, but it's just night and day. I've never thought they were super similar players.
  6. I'm getting Sammy Watkins vibes from Harrison Jr
  7. This is fan talk. The teams never seen things like this.
  8. To me this absolutely needs to be called.
  9. I've noticed him. Thought he's always around the ball. I'm not worried either. I'm a bit more worried about the groot situation, but even that is a bit silly. Groot isn't the unstoppable force I thought he'd be w Bosa yet, but he has flashed.
  10. I'm really not a fan of the new kickoff. Yes, both teams get a crack at it but it is going to affect the score of games. I just think it is an artificial and new modifier that will potentially change the course of the season. It's too radical. It's too drastic. There are too many one-score games in this league. For it not to be cataclysmic. And mostly by that I mean by touchbacks giving them at the 35. I don't think this was a great evolution to this new kickoff. I'd turn it back to the 25.
  11. I agree with most these items and thoughts. I will say...the offense performed. So it is different from those sneaky lackluster chiefs wins. They were not perfect but they moved the ball well and didn't take big risks. They put up 31 points....w missed Field goal. I guess you can say it's the opposite of chiefs, who generally win with defense during that stretch. I'd honestly say this game looked similar to a lot of games vs the Tua / McD phins. The only thing separating it from that burner in September a couple years ago is Miami made less mistakes. One more mistake and this game was 38 - 14 or something. So I personally think it's a solid win and another to build on.
  12. I just want to say that the Bill's overall defensive strategy was basically similar to what we always do. Make them drive the field. Try to get pressure. Keep everything in front of you and count on the dolphins making mistakes. This is similar to what we do almost every time we play them. Frankly, aside from keeping the score close longer than it should have, it basically worked i- though he played better than usual....old Tua made a mistake in the end. I thought Tua played great prior to this. Offense played pretty damn good. I don't have any big complaints apart from a few miscues that caused those few stalled drives. The missed field goal was unfortunate. Again, the offensive philosophy was not to light them up and go deep all the time. Low risk ball control. Don't generate turnovers. This worked. The difference in this game is we probably should have won 38 to 14. How would folks feel if the score was that? I'm not going to complain too much apart from it was a little bit more stressful than it should have been.
  13. Trey has always given a big cushion or had problems when playing soft coverage. My thought is this is scheme. I didn't think he looked that slow. In fact, he had an up and down game and played very well versus the run and on a few other coverage events I didn't think he played that bad overall. We're just going to still assume Tyreek Hill is the fastest guy in the league. I mean everybody has trouble covering him. Waddel is fast too. Miami has a tough wide receiver core, especially when two is getting the ball out quickly without effect from the pressure and effect on his timing. That was the core problem with the day.
  14. The new kickoff is going to sculpt the whole season. It's going to change outcomes from normal results. It's crap.
  15. McD should have challenged, but whats the point of this eye in the sky crap if they get that kind of call wrong.
  16. George was unique, ran high and tall. I thought Cook reminds me of a cross between Chris Johnson and Edgerin James.
  17. Yes, just tune into the live one on local
  18. The Fan Push Game
  19. I think they were bad but got better. This is one of the best DLs and front 7 in league.
  20. This. See where you are at and bring in peppers or make a Beane Douglas type deal near deadline. Somebody will be a seller.....
  21. May be one of the greatest games of the last 5-10 years or so.... Love it for that Lamar fan push!
  22. I don't know about Babich. Safety play is just as bad as I've ever seen.
  23. New year anthem makes me miss Hank Williams Jr. God that sounds like AI.
  24. Bulldog and Schop keep putting Denver ahead of Chargers but I think LA is going to be a tough out this year.
