Marijuana to treat CTE in NFL players
Bing Bong replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You've never gotten a physical and had your head split open under anesthesia for a look at the brain? Pretty routine in my neck of the woods. -
Oughta put it to a poll haha from the OPs sounds like Star and Edmunds are neck and neck. No comment I'll just say if they're both arguably the worst on the defense then we're looking at an automatic loss given zero run defense.. which was basically how the Patriots game went.. so it doesn't matter Meade. We didn't do too good. oh yeah Mead was definitely the worst on the field. That's a given regarding this discussion.
-
For sure. Ravens are my dark horse in the playoff race along with Texans. Waaay too many unbalanced teams in the AFC while the Ravens are running train. Btw they've been crushing it with Lamar taking place. Dude has like 1 loss. That running game and defense is steam rolling teams right now and arguably the hottest in the league. Dude seriously? I'll bet my Flutie flakes Baker gets pummeled to a pulp in a convincing loss. Ravens going to run train on the Browns there's no question!
-
Yeah I didn't realize Edmunds was a top 10 prospect. Hope so too! I am concerned about Edmunds, and surprised a 19 year old was projected that high. I prefer MLBs that can buy a beer legally. If we claim his age as an excuse for not meeting expectations and expect him to get better as he gets.. older?.. we're admitting he's far from a sure thing. I wouldn't draft a 19 year old personally waaaaay too much that could go wrong.
-
Same guys who traded for KB, Matthews lest ye forget. Lemme guess here.. Ah that's easy. I think overpaying for all the new Panthers OL up for contract should do some damage!
-
I don't understand the definition of BPA if tradeups are called for. That means he's not AVAILABLE. Manning was BPA and we needed a QB. Why not trade up. I'm sure Edmunds was good value and all where he was. He obviously was their favorite MLB and they needed and MLB and thus traded up. I'm sure Beane sugarcoated the decision by saying it was BPA + need. He needed a MLB. I seriously don't think he considered more than 2-3 positions for his version of "BPA"
-
I don't follow. Did we take the one position McDermott desperately needed to fit his scheme or did we take the BPA. I'm fine with either provided we got a good one, but you can't have both. I find it very convenient if the BPA was trading up for a MLB Talk to the 2018 Ravens brutha. Winning football takes all shapes and sizes. We can herald the end of the running game and see Marshawn Lynch win a SB (and several other teams with more defense than offense) very reactionary to call 2 years the new wave of football.

You clearly must not understand scheme. Star fits it because he fit it perfectly for McD in 2013. He is literally the only space eater that works in the scheme.
-
I has confession I adore Ace Ventura Carrey makes me laugh
-
Yeah I don't think Star is playing the kind of position (like corner) where if you never hear his name called out he's doing a bangup job. But it feels like a convenient excuse to point he's doing an excellent job because he's "taking on 2-3 players a true space eater". Where I really can't see the impact. I see Phillip's fat *** penetrate run players and otherwise look like a hog out there.. not so much Star. He's gotta be good for other things to play DL it shouldn't be hard to say one game any casual observer might be able to appreciate Star's performance. Literally never see it. Phillips.. much more so. My go to sports nerd Panthers fan was like "idk if he's a good signing for you guys but he wasn't our best DL rotation. I don't remember him playing much last season" ... And I asked him if he knew how much we were paying him he was surprised. Like if I would be if someone gave Dareus that kind of money I'd imagine.
-
Whoa! Too much bud. I just don't love getting all the 2013 Panthers we get. As for Star I have a hard time telling if a space heater is doing work. I'm fine with overpaying free agents but totally not fine on paying the Panthers premium on dudes.. which we have done before. Hated the WR draft pick carousel we went on for losing picks and signing KB and Matthews to cut shortly after. I'll let the better football minds discuss Star's impact.. I don't see anything good or bad.. nothing at all really which I think is a little cause for concern. But primarily.. as with Kelvin, we took a Panthers guy at a premium that the Panthers themselves weren't exactly in love with. All I know is Star was becoming increasingly marginal in his role with the Panthers and rotated in for 40% of snaps before we snatched him. I'll always defer to teams that have seen the best of a player and phase them out for an obvious reason, as had happened with KB, Matthews, and Star. Not that they could be wrong but we certainly knew much more about Dareus' shortcomings than other NFL teams (although they clearly saw regression as well) and lo and behold a former Dareus coach goes out and signs a useless player. We laugh at teams that think Chandler and Hogan are more Gronks and Edelman's.. and I'm sure the Panthers don't think much of what they're missing either. Guys like Woods and Gilmore are different stories as we clearly valued them at a certain price.. and played them in plenty of snaps as they were a huge part of our team playing their best football before they hit FA. The guys that have performed very well with a team a few years ago and find themselves being less involved are the ones that make me apprehensive to sign.
-
Step 1 to building a team. Get the guys that were pretty good on your old team in 2013 because nothing ever changes and your brilliant SCHEME is so inflexible it literally needs the exact same players.. Only 5 years older. Heck why stop there let's sign the 85 bears they had a good scheme. I'm warming up to them but the 2 most annoying things about McBeane is the ignoring the entire offensive unit and the love affair with old Panthers.. to which we defend with REBUILD and SCHEME. I see mistakes (everybody makes them) and laziness (extremely annoying) We have to wait until the 2013 Panthers die and Beane stops signing his 40 year old golden goose Kuechly out of retirement for 5M 100 years of contract. 3 times we've over paid, overplayed, or gave up too much for a 2013 Panther. If your scheme needs literally the same players you're not thinking to critically about building a team

I don't know why they're nitpicking your post lol. Good take. Read the ticket and abide by it. It's not your livelihood it is LITERALLY a game especially for Joe the ticket holder. And don't arrest bad fans because this dumb blowback happens. Kick em out. Getting blackout drunk in the Commonwealth countries is pretty darn fun. Cozy no strings attached drunk tank. They even pay for your medical bills! What a great group of countries. Expect a PI charge, a beating, and paying $2000 for ER stitches in the States.

But it does speak to how much he respects the Bills organization...... for now Would it be as much of a jab if he said any Quarterback could make him look better than Peterman did like he did with Cam? I don't think that would sting quite as bad. KB. Meet "any other Quarterbacks not named Cam Newton". Peterman! Your starting QB!

Bills will have last laugh Bills have cap and high draft picks Dolphins are just fish

Squish the fish Dolphins Mammal's don't swim. Duh. They run. Fish swim. Dolphin's swim.

hahaha you read satire! His writing style is characterized by "didactic misspelling, erratic punctuation, barely veiled racism, not-quite-latent homophobia, conspiratorial anxiety, and arrogant disdain for critical thought" and the character is "dumb on purpose",[7] earning a comparison to the Stephen Colbert character on The Colbert Report[4] with his ability to "undermine the league’s resident apologists and party-liners." In response to criticisms of his poor spelling, [PFTCommenter] wrote, "Im on record that I dont care about spelling, I care about TELLING." He doesnt care about spelling, he cares about TELLING. And yeah, editors for SB Nation and barstool sports spent considerable time editing his misspellings for comedic effect. Pardon my take is the podcast they started running, not a bad source of knowledgeable league wide NFL news combined with sports humor (the writer and his co-host aren't in character as the article you just read). Not to mention if covers every team after a week of play every episode.. however briefly, so the Bills always get a shout out. They typically say "no one circles the wagon like the Bills" in their Chris Berman fastest 3 minutes spoof. Solid twitter account as well @PFTCommenter

EJ Manuel: What went wrong after year 1?
Bing Bong replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Teams don't ruin Quarterbacks. Quarterbacks let themselves get ruined. Poor coaching? Bad line? Bad receivers? Play well enough for your team to want to invest in you. JA has done as much IMO, and Whaley tried his damndest for EJ as well after some promising games (or at least high caliber instances when throwing) lest we forget that. EJ could have game managed a very good 2014 Bills team to great heights.. we didn't need much in the way of offense. And speak up if you're coach is confusing you EJ. Play your best football, nobody to blame but you in this business
