Someone should be fired. Simple
Ol Dirty B replied to DKBills25's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The ***** your getting in these threads are just dumb. They're saying you can leave if you don't like it in a more obnoxious way, and they'll be the same ones who will praise the fanbase for going to all the meaningless games in the cold. They have it both ways. Someone can be rationally frustrated with their team and still support them. -

You're completely right. I was referring to the 04 season, the loss to the Pittsburgh JV team and what has ensued. Atleast I remember a couple more playoff games. But I'm completely with you. This team offers 0 entertainment value. I mean the defense is kind of fun to watch but the offense is just so, so bad. If they just signed some bum who ran a 4.3 and threw to him a fly route once a series it'd be more entertaining than this *****. The philosophy is totally flawed on offense with this team. -
I don't want to continue with this. I genuinely apologize for bringing it up, I won't again. Well no guarantees with me, I'm always liable to say something stupid. I attempted to poorly make a point about judgment in relationship to football's importance and how I think a lot of predicting with football involves luck.

2004 that's rough, and I thought I had it bad when I can say I was a fan starting in 95. -

Bills one of 4 teams with multiple scouts at Bama/LSU
Ol Dirty B replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That sucks. It was hard to pass on the points. I wouldn't touch it. The LSU QB has played well but I just didn't trust a freshman vs what, 8 or 9 NFL caliber players? And Saban? I've learned, just don't bet Bama games. And I hate them. I think they were giving Arkansas, who is by no means great, like 22 or something. My buddy asked me what I thought, we both kind of liked it. It is an SEC school. We didnt bet it, but we were out and the game was on. Everytime we looked up, it was, thank God we didn't take that game. Bama had the spread covered in the first quarter and won by almost 40 or something. When I was a kid I used to make my whole starting teams last name Williams for the ***** of it in Madden... never completed it, but the Williams family has some talent in it lol. -
How many coaches/GMs survive a tank?

And when you've had a reason to go QB with your first pick for what? 20 out of the last 30 years? And that's just doing it by common NFL standards. Maybe it's 15, but they take far too little chances on QBs. -
Lol if that's it I got duped. I threw them 15.00, nothing great, and I didnt donate to dalton's charity but I'm big on these charities. I wasn't donating money to Daltons charity because he had a lucky play to break a playoff drought. I probably could give more, but I'm by no means loaded, yet. I already have a monthly donation to St. Judes. I do like the idea, and support the idea in this. When they try to make you look like savages and pretty much dirt bags, turn around and be better. Like I said I criticize this fanbase a lot, so I want to pitch in when they come up with something I like to encourage it. Again, i only threw in $15 so who knows how far that goes. It won't even come close to covering their payment processing.

Is there a place where you post as far as picks go, are shown? You have a tendency to have it out for the media. Sports are hard to predict. Otherwise we'd all be rich as hell from gambling on them. I'm not sure what you predicting a couple more games correct than whatever sample pool has to do with anything.

Who does 10 teamers?
-
I agree it is. But I find it so odd since so much that show is them just trying to fill time. And relying on other people to do their job for them.

Love this last paragraph. I think a lot of people homers and haters alike should learn this. I'm critical of the team for a lot, but that's because what fans do. And I see some just follow them blindly, because that's what fans do. I enjoy discussing with others how I would or wouldn't do it differently. I've lived out of state for a few years, watched games while I was out of market. People have tried to insult me for the team I like, and my reaction is always like, ok? This is just the team I like. It doesn't determine whether you'll be successful or not, it has nothing to do with your life. I'm never embarrassed by their play. Quite frankly I'm more embarrassed by the Bills mafia, tailgate scene, and other things I see because people associate me with that. They don't associate me with our poor QB play this year.

I respect that view. I do think though if you are looking to build a team in the long run, you have an issue if you hit on both those picks. I think the only time you get return or win on a trade involving a top 5 pick is when you trade it, never on the player. So say they do hit on that, is the team going to invest 30 mil a year on two corners? I get bpa, I'm a fan of it. But I do believe in pragmatism. This defense has played great in quite a few games where the team has no chance. If the BPA isn't replacing a need on defense, you have to go offense. And if BPA on offense isn't worth the pick, you trade down. Just my opinion, I usually like what you're saying and stacking talent. But I also think you need to be pragmatic.

4 NFL teams with female coaches
Ol Dirty B replied to Kevin1778's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. She's just prepping film and essentially game logging. It's more of a support job rather than any kind of decision making and being responsible for what happens on Sunday. Only way she is responsible if they can't get the correct film. -
Which Trash-Heap QB Would You Have Signed?
Ol Dirty B replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thad Lewis. Because he's Thad Lewis, and whenever you don't have a QB. You opt for Thad Lewis. -

Exactly. I'm not even sure why this a thread other than people attacking something that is a bit different. I'm sure you've seen the threads whenever a woman announces a game, God forbid it. -

I'm not happy with the offense at all. I'm not going to question what this woman does for a living either. Do you want Beane and McDermott gone? I'm starting to get the sense you just don't understand what her position really entails. -

So I'm assuming you want the many men in more important positions regarding control over the offense fired too? That might include McDermott and Beane. I'm not sure when anyone has ever said, you know what's really making this offense hum? The offensive quality control coach. -
Your initial post was that people wake up to create statistics to troll Bills fans. That's madness, the Bills are historically bad on offense. Is a website dedicated to creating football content supposed to avoid it? It was just a statistic, and it accurately reflects the state of QB play on the team. It has nothing to do with people being out to get the Bills and their fans. Honestly I just laugh at caveats like this. How can't you?
