  1. Oh ***** my man you’re a genius! I forgot I had a rain coat at home that I totally didn’t specifically buy just because of these rainy Bills games, great idea! 🤦‍♂️ Why the need for the sarcasm on this board all the time. The Colts game was unbearable even with rain gear. Just asking if anyone has found any sort of success or tips outside of rain gear that might help.
  2. See the Houston game wasn’t that bad though because it was relatively warm, I gave up on my mission to stay dry by halftime and actually just took my hood off We’ll make it halfway there EDIT: Little side note to this actually — having season tickets I’ve been drinking less at the games because doing it so often just ruins Sunday’s and makes the game more of a chore than an enjoyable experience. To my complete surprise, without sarcasm, the experience for me has actually been better the less I drink. On one hand, it makes sense that understanding the game and noticing more rather than missing little details in your drunk delusion would be more enjoyable. But, what I completely didn’t expect, the crowd atmosphere is better and more enjoyable without being drunk. I’m always impressed by the noise and the crowd involvement of the game, and the crowd actually sounds louder and rowdier when I’ve consumed less.
  3. In advance, I’m sorry for starting another weather thread. I truly am. But for longtime season ticket holders or game goers, what have you guys found best to dress in for cold rain? I’ve been going to 3 or 4 games a year consistently for maybe a decade now, but for the first time this year I have season tickets. Before I could just jump around and purchase games when I wanted and avoid the cold, rainy, windy days. Now, I’m going to every game and let me tell you the Colts game was BRUTAL. It was the first Bills game I ever left before the 4th quarter. Typically I would just layer up and get some hand warmers for the cold and call it a day and be content. But the rain and cold combined is a different animal, especially if you add wind. The layers get wet and you’re stuck in those same clothes and can never get warmer. Any suggestions? Habits that work well?
  4. I’ve got season tickets and barely been checked. Typically I have my card folded in the back of my phone case which is see through, I haven’t even had to take it out of my phone case yet let alone getting my ID checked. I wouldn’t worry about anything, especially if you actually are backed. Just bring your card/app and you’ll be fine. I didn’t see, but heard from a friend that a few people in line in front of him bribed a guard to get in without the card. Safe to say, you’re fine. It’s no hassle and barely slows the gates down.
  5. Overall the team is very good, probably the best in the AFC type of good. Still worried about the Chiefs, as they simply have an incredible amount of talent and a Hall of Fame coach. Kind of worried about the Browns and Steelers simply based on matchup, both teams with strong running games and defensive lines. Other than that though, the Bills are an incredible team and in talks for the best in the league. However, the aspiration for this year is Super Bowl. Under those circumstances, the offensive line is still a problem. They simply weren’t that good today again after an abysmal performance against the Jaguars last week. There’s going to be a ‘this is why we can’t have nice things’ crowd, but if we’re talking about a Super Bowl it’s okay to be critical of these things. If not for Josh’s creative strong play in the backfield, we’d be getting killed on a weekly basis by opposing defensive lines. It’s something to talk about and monitor as the season goes on. As of right now, the offensive line is playing bad enough to say that that specific unit could hold us back from winning a Super Bowl irregardless of how strong and dominant the rest of the team is. Whether it’s Bobby Johnson or just a lack of talent, something needs to be done to address it. Josh was getting pressured all over today, thankfully we have an MVP-caliber QB who can hide the deficiencies in certain games against weaker overall teams. However, the current state of play just isn’t sustainable for a Super Bowl win. Hopefully Brown can continue to mesh with Williams on the right side, while Dawkins and Morse get back to their peak play. But until then, the OL is something to watch and worry about as we gear up for a deep playoff run. Thoughts?
  6. Hm, have mostly agreed with the overall assessments up until this one. While watching the game I thought it was Edmunds best game and found my friends and I texting quite a bit about him in our group chat. He played phenomenal in my opinion. Great work every week though, as this is becoming one of my must reads along with Virgil’s A Couple Thoughts 🍻 The HATERZ PLAY is a bit tacky though 😭
  7. Amazes me how often this topic comes up when analytics and stats consistently show the Bills as a top 3, if not the top, drafting team since Beane got here. Teams simply don’t draft perfect. In comparison to the rest of the league, Beane actually drafts at a very high level.
  8. I bet on the Bills and we’re now 0-2 this year when I bet on the Bills, I’ll shoulder my share of the blame as well 😔
  9. You can do nearly anything you want with Josh in Madden. I wouldn’t look at the overall as a detriment too his skill set, but a compliment rather. His skill set is so unique that even with the lower overall he’s playing at a higher level in Madden, I think his overall may still be lower because for every overall higher he gets he’s just going to be a little more overpowered
  10. @ Bills: 34 Texans: 13 Buffalo, NY - The parties in Orchard Park continue to roll on as the Josh Allen led Bills have put up 112 points in the past 3 weeks. Concerns of a ‘trap’ game were wiped away early as the Bills came out of the gate firing. Allen executed a quick passing attack schemed up by Brian Daboll. On the first drive of the day, Allen threw 8 straight completions to drive the field 75 yards and ultimately find a hot Dawson Knox in the end zone for his 3rd touchdown of the year. It looked easy, and it proved to be for much of the day. Without much need to, the Bills refrained from designing anything too exotic and let 17 dump and dime his way down the field all day until Singletary and Moss took over to close out. Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier orchestrated a defensive gameplan that clearly frustrated rookie quarterback Davis Mills all throughout the day. The defense blitzed early and often while disguising coverages in the secondary and overwhelming Mills. This led to three sacks, two of which from Ed Oliver in a coming our party, and a pick in the first half. The Bills would head to the locker room leading 24-3. The defensive dominance wouldn’t hold back in the second half, as Mills would throw another pick on the opening drive of the second half. This set up a 47 yard touchdown from Allen to Diggs on the highlight play of the day. Leading 31-3, this pretty much wrapped up the game. The defense would surrender a touchdown and a field goal in garbage time, while Mitch Trubisky and Zack Moss would put together a 6 minute fourth quarter drive to notch one more field goal. The defense finished the day with an impressive five sack and two interception performance to continue their return to elite level play. Outside of a deep target to Diggs, the offense looked impressive and efficient but was barren of many explosive plays. Allen would finish the day with 29 completions for 327 yards. Josh Allen - 29/37, 327 yards, 3 TD Devin Singletary - 9 rushes, 47 yards Zack Moss - 14 rushes, 56 yards, 1 TD Stefon Diggs - 9 catches, 123 yards, 1 TD Cole Beasley - 7 catches, 67 yards Emmanuel Sanders - 4 catches, 52 yards Dawson Knox - 3 catches, 38 yards, 1 TD Ed Oliver - 2 sacks AJ Epenesa - 1 sack Jerry Hughes - 1 sack Matt Milano - 1 sack, 1 INT Levi Wallace - 1 INT
  11. 2020 OFFENSIVE STATS PPG: 31.3, 2nd in NFL YPP: 6.1, 6th in NFL YPG: 396.4, 2nd in NFL PYG: 288.7, 3rd in NFL 1stD/GM: 24.8, T-1st in NFL SC%: 49.4%, 2nd in NFL 2021 OFFENSIVE STATS PPG: 25.5, 12th in NFL YPP: 4.8, 27th in NFL YPG: 342.5, 21st in NFL PYG: 212.5, 26th in NFL 1stD/GM: 10.5, 25th in NFL SC%: 37.5%, 19th in NFL Yes, we won 35-0. Yes, the Bills are in an offensive slump, and that’s completely okay to admit and talk about fixing. Both can be true at the same time. We won 35-0 largely because of the defense. It wasn’t a complete game at all. No one’s saying the world is ending, we’re simply discussing what might be the cause of it and how we hopefully WILL overcome by fixing that cause.
  12. “It’s a bit weird to call a team that scored 35 points in a ‘slump.’” Then goes on to describe, what is in fact, a slump. Why are fans going crazy about other fans pointing out areas for improvement and saying that we’re not at our best? The offense is flat out in a slump, simple as that. Are those of us saying this claiming that the team is doomed? Absolutely not, it’s a 17 game season and hopefully a 20 game season. We’re a Super Bowl contender, it’s okay for fans to act accordingly. It’s okay to be critical. The offense we’ve seen the first two weeks does not win a Super Bowl. The offense we’ve seen the first two weeks is not nearly as good as the offense we saw last year. They are in a ‘slump.’ So, naturally fans are going to talk about how the play has dipped, and observe and converse about what may be causing it and how we think it can be fixed in order to make that long journey to the Super Bowl.
  13. I know the offense/Allen/Daboll/the OL is already being talked about ad nauseam around the forum, so I understand if the mods see a need to merge this with something else/lock it. However, with some videos and being specific to Allen vs the play calling I think this could warrant a thread. At first, my big complaint with Josh so far this year was that he looked indecisive, out of rhythm and unconfident in his game. Watching these videos that all seems explainable. Daboll looks to be forcing deep routes with 2-3 players attacking downfield on most of his plays. This comes against Pittsburgh, a great bonafide defense, and Miami, at bare minimum a great secondary. Those teams were able to not only plan for this and cover those routes, but also had the player personnel to do so effectively. With the All-22 film here you see that Allen is often looking through 2-3 reads downfield, all covered, before making a decision. Explains the indecisive look to him that we get to see on the live broadcast version, no? I’m on the train of holding Allen accountable, you don’t pay a guy $250M+ and then just shrug off 2 back-to-back weeks like he just had, especially when he’s only had 1 elite level year. Now I don’t think this is the demise of Josh, but it’s clear he’s not playing at the level of last year. On top of whatever you may be able to blame with the play calling here, he’s still been erratic with his accuracy and doesn’t look as sure in the pocket as we saw all last year and needs to rebound from that. However, what I see between these two threads/videos is that the offensive problems look mostly fixable by just scheming a little different/playing easier defenses. Daboll scheming to take some shorter routes for a couple weeks until Allen gets in more of a rhythm and the defenses start to play more underneath, and then this deep crossing attack scheme should open back up. Again, mods lock/merge if necessary and my apologies ahead of time if this doesn’t warrant its own thread, but I thought it might be interesting to hear what people think specifically of Allen vs the gameplan without anything else involved in the conversation.
  14. Are we talking so far this season? If that’s the case then my list would look something like 1. Milano 2. Epenesa 3. Singletary 4. Taron Johnson 5. Tre White If were talking about some combination over the past couple years and just generally what I’m expecting from players on a week to week basis then 1. Allen 2. Diggs 3. Poyer 4. Tre White 5. Micah
  15. Didn’t realize how much I looked forward to this every week until I caught myself checking the forum all day for it 😭 Thanks @Virgil, good job as always 🍻
  16. Does McD need the guts to make the call Harbaugh made? I forget the exact scenario last night, but it was something like BAL ball on their own 40, KC with 0 timeouts with about a minute left If Baltimore doesn’t get it, KC needs 5 yards for FG range and 15 for a ‘safe’ field goal. If Baltimore punts KC has about 50 seconds to go ~45-55 yards with no timeouts. This was more of a ballsy call than the right call in my opinion. If Baltimore doesn’t get this first that’s a head scratching play call with the Ravens almost certainly looking at 0-2. I’m all aboard the go for it on 4th down train, but that one was not one of the times I would’ve supported it.
  17. Hot take: I find the train horn to be a staple and actually love it
  18. I’m drawing blanks right now. 7 Nation Army at the opening kickoff and ensuing kickoffs. Shout Song after the XP. Train Horn on 3rd Down’s. Feel like I’m missing a sound/song or two here, or is that all of them? Anyone know? 2 years since being in the stadium is going to feel like an extra year each of these next 9 days 😬
  19. 60,000 seems a bit short no? Weren’t season tickets themselves 60k+ over the past 2 years?
  20. This arguments a strange one and I never know which side to fall on/agree with. On one hand, yes it’s extremely rare for a team to make the Super Bowl 3 years in a row and the odds aren’t in the Chiefs favor. However, just because of that does that mean everyone should ignore the fact that they’re the favorite and the most talented team in the AFC? Are we not supposed to predict the best team to win the conference just based on principal? At that point, why predict anything at all? At the end of the day, I’ve personally got the Chiefs over the Rams in the Super Bowl and I do agree that that’s an extremely rare feat to make it 3 times in a row and it’s more than likely not going to happen due to injury/ball luck. But it’s just to hard for me to justify predicting/betting on a team other than what appears to be the best team
  21. It’s looking like I thought I had set it to automatic payments, but turns out it wasn’t automatic and I never paid the last ~20% of the payment. Hopeefully the ticket office will work with me and allow me to retain the seats 🙏
  22. The amount of people defending this and calling it clean 😬 If Allen got hit like this Buffalo would be fuming, call a spade a spade and recognize its dirty
  23. My bank account just randomly got refunded and I can no longer find my season tickets through the Bills App. Anyone experience anything similar or have any suggestions? Of course it happens on a Saturday when the ticket office is closed and can’t be fixed quickly with a phone call 🙄
