  1. speed receivers are almost always a bad idea. Can't believe Ross went so high. All three of the top receivers had major injuries this season so it's tough to evaluate, but Corey has played the most and he's had some tremendous catches. So far just showing off his hands and sideline awareness but he's got Andre Reed YAC ability too. He will be elite. .
  2. We are coming in from Rochester in the RV for our first game of the year. Eight of us. I don't give a crap about the future, we're all ready to go with our red on red, lots of food, drink and looking forward to beating up the Dolts. Our view is too many people worry about wins and losses and the enjoyment of watching the game of football itself can get overlooked. Remember, if you dress properly you're warmer than the guy on the couch. Looking forward to the first Peterman to Reilly TD baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Draft talk during the season is bad luck. This is what led to wide right, homerun throwback, Robert Woods departure, Dennison getting hired, and Gronk committing a felony after the whistle. At this point just keep rooting against KC, who might actually be giving us a higher draft pick than our own this spring.
  4. Depends who starts, but I think this is a perfect game for Peterman. A lot of 2 TE sets to get the running game rolling get into a passing rhythm. Our O line played a pretty good game last week. I had this game circled for Peterman since the beginning of the year, I pray they give the kid a taste of home field advantage and a shot at redemption.
  5. I rewatched the offensive series in the Pats game. The kid had flashes early this season, but he's really settled into that LT spot. Did anyone notice how far downfield he was throwing his guys on some of those run plays? That's freakish strength. He’s come on strong the past four weeks, surrendering just nine pressures over his last four games while looking nasty in the run game. He ended the day with just one hit and two hurries allowed. This kid is already very good, can't wait until the experience starts kicking in. So far, Tredavious, Zay, Milano and Dawkins all look like they were good picks.
  6. We are coming in from Rochester with the RV. Left Hammer a message hoping to get that spot next to the office building. We need power !!! Thanks! Tim 585-734-1255
  7. We really aren't good at stopping the run anymore, I think it's silly to think we could win a playoff game on the road. With that in mind, I'd like to see Peterman get the start. We couldn't protect the poor guy in San Diego and I think he deserves a legit start where he has more than 2 seconds to execute. He had two stupid INT's, the other 3 either weren't his fault at all or were a result of the right side of our line being awful. I say give the kid the ball and let him sling it. We should be good enough at home against Indy to handle some offensive miscues, and he might just light it up. In other news, don't forget its COLOR RUSH so everyone get your red on! Dusting off my Santa suit as we speak.....
  8. Gotta draft receivers built like Baldwin, Zay, Woods, Steve Smith etc. The small burners and the tall guys can't take the hits like the solid 6 foot 205lb type guys. The vast majority of our picks next year will be defense though. If you don't have a great run D you're screwed.
  9. If Mike Evans gets a game for simply pushing a guy after the whistle, this should be at least 3 games for Gronkowski. Intentionally concussing a guy 5 seconds after the whistle who is on the ground and can't see it coming? McD should have gone ballistic and got thrown out himself. Stand up for your players, don't say "Gronk's a better player than that" when he just showed you what kind of player he really is on his 4th penalty of the game, the nastiest foul i have ever seen in 30 years.
  10. Niners and Indy?
  11. He's got the New England disease. You turn into a whiny, entitled hothead. Happened to Edelman, Brady, heck even Kraft is a smug jerk, and now Gronk is trying to intentionally hurt players after the whistle. He lost all respect from every single fan in the hometown he grew up in, and rightfully so.
  12. I agree with you that we should give McD some rookie mistake patience, but so far I would grade him as an excellent team leader and motivator, and a poor game manager. We've seen things like 10 men on the defense against Atlanta on a critical play, and quite a few time management/situational struggles. I like him a lot, and he's the kind of guy that will learn and improve, but he's definitely a rookie HC and I don't think Dennison is doing him any favors.
  13. It was a great decision whoever made it, pulled us up several spots in the draft order and allowed the KC trade down to happen. I love when management can see past the next game in front of them and has the balls to make decisions that will actually benefit us down the road vs a meaningless win to make fans feel good for a few hours on a Sunday. Play Peterman again this year if we are out of playoffs!
  14. Thats some good work by the OP. I love posts with images. Switching out Worthy for Coleman was one of those things that you'd think would have happened earlier as soon as Dareus was let go, instead of taking two more games of awful run defense to get Coleman up and running. Glad we have him, and I'm sure the rest of the defense is too.
  15. wow. then i must be an idiot because he pointed out some interesting things i had never known before, like how a cover 2 can be disguised using the strongside LB and a DE dropping while the safeties come up and switch to man coverage. never knew the LB and free safety communicated that much pre snap and can actually change the defensive call all the way up to the hike. also i really enjoy how he breaks down options the qb has not only with hot reads, blitz pickups etc, but also clock management stuff at the end of the periods. he's my kind of broadcast guy.
  16. Or you can embrace the cool format and have fun watching college bowl games with your family and friends. Set up a big bracket, get some good food and drinks, and enjoy the games. Its what we call enjoying WHAT IS in my house, you should try it. It's a lot more fun than mocking it and saying it's stupid (also a free life lesson for you)
  17. Interesting post from the Frankish Reich. I would have guessed far less than 50% would be hits but it does seem about even. This makes me feel a little better, on the other hand it looks as if the qb talent everyone was raving about before the season started has cooled off and boiled down to Rosen as the clear cut #1 overall. Id love to have him but if we can't oh please lord let the kid go to Cleveland and light up the league for a long time.
  18. every team's draft lineup would look like this. it's not just the Bills. do the same thing for the patriots, they'll have even less starters from drafts.
  19. It's 5 picks in the first 3 rounds not 6 anymore. We shipped a 3rd rounder off to Carolina for Benjamin. Wish we had a ton more. If Pegula wants to really help this team, he should be throwing big money at the scouting department, independent services--heck I don't care if it's the college equipment manager who has a sleeper pick--we need a mountain of solid intel on a wide range of positions and then we need the right draft strategy. There are no unimportant drafts for any team ever, but this certainly could ease the pain if we pull some quality talent in here locked up for at least 4 years at a reasonable salary. I agree with the OP that defense and offense are probably equally in need of personnel help. One other thing I'd mention is if Tyrod goes, McD has to seriously consider sending Dennison down the road with him. We need to do what Andy Reid did with Alex Smith--run the stupid offense your qb did in college, the one he's most comfortable with and the one that made him the best player he can be. Tyrod is 7 years in this league and he can't even change a play at the line in this system, which also offers very few long balls that is a strength of his.
  20. Man Cordy is such a big piece of the puzzle. It sucks that he can't shake this ankle. I like Dawkins, obviously Bosa thinks he's a little better than Mills or he wouldn't have kept moving over there. We need some consistency on this line so badly. Unfortunately we are probably going to start losing productivity out of Richie and Eric Wood soon and the whole line will be a mess. We will see some serious O-line moves in the offseason, it's impossible to win without a serviceable line. Easy to say, but in reality it's very hard to put together for a GM and coaching staff. John Miller and Cordy might both be gone next year. We invested a lot in those two.
  21. Colts game dec 10th, good place to start. Cordy Glenn healthy, Dawkins playing RT.
  22. Meh.... He throws a nice ball. It was obvious at camp, when you see him throw in person you can tell. Also the velocity thing is the qb throwing as hard as they can, which isn't game time reality. Drew Brees style thrower. Lets hope he has the talent to get close to that level...... The key to being a good NFL guy is pocket awareness and throw anticipation. Arm strength never seemed to mean much in terms of wins and losses in the NFL.
  23. National coverage from just about anybody is meaningless, they don't know this team. Tasker is the only guy.
  24. Dennison and Beane arent a good compliment to Tyrod. His strength was TE and short rb throws, read option and then three or four times a game he throws long to our fast guys. We dumped (or dont start) any fast WR's in exchange for taller dudes, so the long ball is gone from our offense. We won our early game from several 50 plus yard fg's, and the last two from insane turnover ratios. (Denver we won from a stupid call on Von). Now that we've stalled, and released Worthy and Dareus, there's only one shot to save the season, and thats above average qb play. I agree with the move but would still have Tyrod in for some read option or wildcat stuff.
  25. We should be much better against the run, even without Marcel in there. Kyle, Shaq, Washington, Worthy, these guys can play solid run defense normally. Without Hughes we have zero pass rush--heck even with him we haven't been doing much to harass other qb's. The Saints Oline looked like Hall of Famers out there. Even with a great offense we still lose that game. Here's my blame placing awards: 20% no Dareus. He may be a slug off the field but he doesn't get pushed around like that. 30% offensive time of possession killed us. 20% no Hughes, our best player in the front 7, out with shin injury. 30% Saints Oline. Really an outstanding job by their big boys. They can beat anyone if they play like that. I was less impressed with Kamara and more impressed with the holes they were making for he and Ingram.
