McCloud was someone I thought would make the 53 yesterday. Sad to see him go.
Keeping Love over Jonathan is a wash.
Tanner Owen was not impressive from what I seen. Same with Tenuta.
Like I said in my earlier post, Beane needs to look for TEs, DBs and OL (Mancz signed) only for the PS.
Beane has averaged $10M the last 2 years. Moving on from players not producing costs. It's no big deal and it's looking it will
be much lower next season. He's pretty good at his job!
Former Bills list of options I think will be signed and/or considered.
FAs:
QB Matt Barkley
RB Duke Johnson
ILB Marquel Lee
Waived:
WR Isaiah Hodgins
WR Tanner Gentry
WR Neil Pau'u
RB Rasheem Blackshear
TE Jalen Weydermyer
T Luke Tenuta
T Alec Anderson
G Jack Anderson
DT Brandon Bryant
DT Kingsley Jonathan
DT Prince Emili
DT Eli Ankou
DE Mike Love
DE Daniel Joseph
LB Joe Gilles-Harris
S Josh Thomas
CB Nick McCloud
McCloud, Bryant and Hodgins are the ones who I think may get plucked. Duke Johnson may get signed.
I know there is more. I just think the above have a better chance.
It seems other C/TE/G/WR and DBs may be looked for outside the team.
One thing for sure, after the initial PS signing, we know they get churned quite a bit.
Offsets are usually only done on rookie contracts. Vet contracts I imagine would be rare.
If Beane signed Howard to an offset is sure would have been a wise move but somehow, I doubt it.
I mean he knows Sweeney as a player much better than Morris. If Morris overtakes Sweeney in the depth chart it will take some time.
The TD was his only play in the preseason. He had only 3 catches for less than 20 yards. I thought he looked slow.
For whatever reason they didn't want him.
Not an excuse but I'm jumping back and forth from the SabreSpace board after the Tage Thompson 7-year deal being signed.
It's a fun Buffalo sports day for me! I should get another drink and let it all ride!
Sure, but so do other SB hopefuls. Please do me a favor and look up the 3 DL backups for the Rams.
Marquise Copeland
Jonah Williams (not the 1st rounder from CIN)
Michael Hoecht
They are ALL UDFAs will no real NFL experience. How would you feel about them if 1 or 2 of the starters get hurt?

That's what I'm saying to you. We crossed the Rubicon. Let's see what happens.
It's a very good roster. Just got to hope the young CBs hang in there for the first games. At least we got Poyer and Hyde to shepherd them.
Come on Scott, season is about to start, cheer up brother!
But Gollum, and the evil one
Crept up and slipped away with her
Her, her, yeah
Ain't nothing I can do, no
… I guess I keep on rambling
Morris is new. Josh knows Sweeney and he sticks until something else happens. Beane will get the best TE for the PS that he can.
Sweeney if under the gun and he knows it. If he doesn't improve, he won't be a Bill next year.
