  1. Samuel is a unique guy that can do it. If Dorsey tried it with Diggs, we'd all be pissed.
  2. Samuel gets the team out of trouble all by himself.
  3. I remember some of his games last year too.
  4. Guys like Purdy makes watching NFL football fun. The unknown is intriguing. After Brady as a 6th round pick, every football fan will always wonder about guys like this. Most just end up proving their draft spot was correct. But every while ....................
  5. Purdy to me has a great team around him. He has proven he can manage a game and throw some good balls. Teams got time to game plan on him now, curious how he adjusts going forward.
  6. Trading FGs on the first opening drives. Let's see how Purdy goes from here.
  7. I'm just a guy watching football. Not sure what you are doing.
  8. Giants D stiffened up when they needed to.
  9. Yep. Some of the "concerns" have a bit of merit to them. I just wonder IF these Bills fans were Washington fans what their concerns would be about playing the Bills.
  10. Edmunds is a good MLB but it's almost mind-boggling that he has had so few high impact plays. It's something I can never get over. In over 5 seasons he has over 4,500 NFL snaps in the middle of the field and only 2 FF, 0FR, 5 INT, 34 TFL and 6.5 Sacks. His defensive scoring is 2 points. He is either the unluckiest defensive player ever or there is just something about his play. I mean, he has almost 500 combined tackles since his last FF. How is that possible? I wish him well in Chicago but as a MLB you just have to impact the game more often than "occasionally".
  11. He wasn't released, he retired. He's a 9-year veteran and could have signed with any team, anytime, on or off a practice squad.
  12. That's right. Give the Bills the Lombardi right now! Klien on the PS is not a bad thing at all. I know that a lot of fans have "completely" written off Dodson and Spector but I'm still holding out some hope that one of these young guys can become a decent depth ILB. If Williams can evolve as a complete LB (both outside and inside if necessary) and Bernard can work the system that I think McDermott wants him to play, all of a sudden, the LBs turn from a weakness to a strength. I keep saying that Beane and McDermott seem to purposely want these smaller, quicker LBs for a reason.
  13. I would love to hear Morse's input when the OL is breaking down film against a team like they face this week. I hope Josh and he have good communication this Sunday.
  14. The Bills and Josh Allen showed they CAN do the "dink and dunk" gameplan. That is big! There will be plenty of big throws this season. If Dorsey can learn to use the short game to set up the big plays............watch out.
  15. Cook has 222 all-purpose yards with 6.0 yards a touch. That's on 59% of the offensive snaps. Seems like a pretty good start to me. That would be a season of 1,887 all-purpose yards. I would love that! Not putting Motor down at all, but he had 1,099 yards and a 5.1 yards per touch with 65% of the snaps. Seems like a pretty big improvement, if that was to happen. I like Cooks running style and he compliments Murray and Harris well IMO.
  16. Josh is sounding different in these last few pressers IMO. He sounds more "business like". More serious. I think it's a good thing. Whatever happened behind closed door and in Josh's mind from that Jets game to the Raiders may be the best thing to happen to him and the team. If he can keep it this up he will scare a lot of people.
  17. Kirksey's call up full time would mean Dodson is cut. Tyrel is good on ST and Christian would have to take snaps there. Not sure how his ST play is. I'd give him more time to get acclimated. He always can be a PS elevation if a LB gets banged up. If everyone is staying healthy, I'd leave things the way they are right now. It's a long season.
  18. Haslam dug the hole; he's got no good choices but to hope Watson gets better.
  19. I was saying 2025. They have no choice next year but keep him.
  20. IF Watson's play remains poor, they have no choice but to blow up the team in 2025 and tank hard. Post June cut helps them spread the cap hit over 2 years with a restructure and cap carry over. I will watch to see if they trade off assets in 2024 and the start of 2025. If they start (trading/letting walk) their stars, then it's a real possibility. If they wait until 2027, they could lose their entire fanbase and the players, the team could be ruined. I mean what other choice do they have? Make him want to retire?
  21. What is looking even worse is they doubled down and restructured every penny they could of his 2023 salary this year. The Browns have pushed out Miles Garrett's cap hits so much already that he is costing $35M next year. They've done the same with Amari Cooper. The Browns are already $48M over the cap to start next season and will probably have no choice but to restructure Watson again. LOL. They pushed in all their chips and IOUs in this Watson debacle. That's true but his salary is vet minimum because of the stupid restructure as I mentioned above. Browns are over-the-barrel with him.
  22. Watson's 3 remaining years have cap hits of $64M every year plus $9M in a void year. Choke is a mild description of how xxxxxx they are. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cleveland-browns/deshaun-watson-21753/
  23. Ah, this reminds me of the good old days when we had to track Josh's completion % to confirm he was the "right" Josh. Good times.
  24. I agree. It's more of a consolidation thing. If he is indeed a FA as they say, then it does limit that original 10 year deal. It freed up a couple of million but the Chiefs were right at the cap so I don't expect they will do a lot with that.
  25. I will watch how the TEs were used when I rewatch the game. Good to hear he is part of that process instead of purely slot.
