You only get so many mistakes a game before the games become exponentially harder to win. We like to burn up all those mistakes in the first half of many games and see what happens in the 4th.

Murray 4 carries 37 yards so that doesn't seem to be the reason.

We're averaging almost 7 yards per carry and under 4 per pass so we'll just keep throwing.

Why don't we just run the ball? Why do we have to throw it 75 percent of the time?

Whoever signs him he'll be on the next plane out .......... unless they find all his guns in his luggage. Then it might be a few days.

There is some irony in pointing out how good Moss was when starting yet criticizing Motor for doing nothing for 8 games even though the reason is that he was not starting.

Nevermind .............. he's clearly the best back in the NFL then. Clearly he'd have 20 rushing TD's if he was here because he is so good and our backs are not and it has nothing to do with the systems and playcallers. I was wrong and there was no point in anything I said ........... or if there was you clearly missed it but we'll just go with he's the best back in the NFL.

Call me crazy but I'm hoping by the end of the season I'm looking back and saying we picked the right time to play like crap and then the right time to get our crap together meaning we play our best football the rest of the year. It's not up to me. They have to play the games but here's to hoping.

Granted O'Connell didn't give the Jets the ball 4 times.

Again I didn't say he's as good. They have similar capabilities. Cook doesn't see nearly enough touches to tell whether he could be as good as Ekeler and he's not a great blocker. They are both good runners but neither would be confused with a healthy Chubb or Barkley and they both are theoretically good pass catchers. Ekeler being the on who is actually good at it and Cook the one who seemingly should be good at it but again we don't throw to him so I say theoretically.

So he's a healthy Nick Chubb good? He's not. He's good at catching passes and he's in an offense that uses him almost to perfection. He's probably not even Kamara good but he's on the right team. Cook is probably very similar to Ekeler but we don't use him very well. Motor is probably as good a runner as Ekeler and probably half the receiver. Again the right back in the right system. If Ekeler is here he would get 10 carries and average 50 yards a game and get a couple catches here and there just like everyone else.

Not sure what you're talking about ................ said right in the post that you quoted that I thought he's a decent back.

Don't forget the Giants/Dallas game which was super competitive. DeVito should be starting somewhere next year for sure.

Jets have scored more points in the first half than we have in 3 out our last 4 games 4 of our last 5 games.

He'd average 5 ypc but he'd only get 10 carries a game and average 900 yards per season.

I'm on the fence ..... I feel like the throws are there and they're not being made. Not every time, but a lot of times. Still on coaching I suppose but not so much play calling.

Theoretically I'd agree with you. If we ran the ball more (although it's pretty even) you could argue that Cooks offers a larger home run potential, but we don't run the ball much. If we threw to the rb's more you could argue that Cooks is better catching the ball, but we don't throw to the backs that much. What we do all the time is throw the ball and Singletary was a much better pass blocker which is why Cooks is off the field so much when we are throwing in the fourth quarter. Cooks will most likely get better at pass blocking but we still probably will not use our rb's as much as other teams.

Then with that 3rd they were going to draft the next Calvin Johnson because draft picks are sure things ......................

Sadly even when it doesn't fail we just stop running the football.
