  1. Best case for me is Rosen falling. Bills trying to trade up but no one will bite and he falls to 12. I know that won’t happen so realistic best case is Rosen at 4-6
  2. I don't. I've never had less respect for any position from other Bills fans than not wanting to trade up this year.
  3. I heard something about this after I posted. Then I checked spotrac and yes that's true. If he's traded he's under contract for 3 more seasons at 6.1 million. So that part of my argument is void. However, I would still rather get a rookie. So this mock isn't quite as bad as i originally thought for the Bills. Still think Eagles want to keep Foles for this season at least. They can trade him after the season.
  4. That would be ideal, but you won't know if he or anyone for that matter will drop until after you pass on trading to #2. Are you willing to take that risk? I was scared of the cost at first then I thought about the Texans. Are they kicking themselves for trading up and giving up what turned into #4 this year? I doubt it.
  5. Not arguing any of that. I agree, I just laid out a very specific scenario i noticed the Bills in last season where Tyrod and/or the coaching staff were afraid to turn the ball over even when doing so wouldn't have hurt the team's chances any more than punting. another example would be an end of half or game hail mary that's intercepted. If I was looking at a players stats and saw he threw 15 ints but then dug deeper and learned that more than half were end of half hail marys I would be less concerned.
  6. I understand that, but I'd rather take a chance on the upside of Jackson than get Foles.
  7. Really? did you miss the trade in his mock where we would be getting Nick Foles? or is it more of a reading comprehension problem? If we trade for Foles we would have to extend his contract next offseason. I believe there's an opt out clause after this year as well. So we would be paying a large portion of our cap as early as next year to a guy whose play has been up and down during his career to say the least.
  8. I would probably get Lamar Jackson. Depending on who else is available and what trade down options are. I actually don't mind the other players, just don't want Foles.
  9. Yes, this idea of yours? It is very bad. I don't feel like paying Nick Foles (minus Eagles coaches) a bunch of money next season.
  10. I agree. I guess by overrated I was referring to the national media overrating Tyrod for not throwing ints. Also, the situation I mentioned where the int doesn't actually hurt the team at all. If a QB throws a pick on 3rd and 15 from the 50 yard line trying for the end zone and the other team gets the ball at the 10 it shows up the same as a pick on 1st and 10 from your own 20 on the stat sheet. I'm guessing some QBs have a tendency to throw "better" interceptions but i haven't looked into it.
  11. I like yards as an option but I think I'm biased because we haven't even had a 300 yard game in a while. I could start with yards then dig deeper. I also think interceptions are overrated as a negative metric. This became so obvious to me last year when we would have 2nd or 3rd and long from midfield, but Tyrod would just throw it to Tolbert for a few yards. In that case taking a shot downfield and throwing a pick inside the opponents 20 is equivalent to a good punt.
  12. The trade down crowd needs to look back at past draft's 2nd and 3rd rounds to see that drafting a difference maker is possible but rare. I say that knowing the same is true for QB position, but it's worth the risk because the reward is so great, especially now with the rookie wage scale.
  13. Hopefully we can do that once we have our QB. Look at the Colts this year. They're set to move down again, do you think they would have considered it if they didn't have Luck? Not only is your strategy not what the Bills intended, it makes no sense until after we have a sure-fire QB in place.
  14. No guarantee they will be good players. Our most recent 2nd round pick just released a naked blood video. Some of you have fallen in love with these draft picks and built up the prospects in you mind. The Patriots have 2 1st and 2 2nd rd picks and already have way more talent than us. So what will separate us in the post-Brady years? a couple extra picks? or hitting a home run with the QB?
  15. Why do you assume our draft picks will be elite players? The Pats have 2 1st and 2 nd rd picks. We need a QB to beat them for the post-brady years. Or we can just hope we draft better or our extra 3rd makes the difference for the next decades. I'm sick of hearing people overvalue these draft picks.
  16. First try a+ Kept trading down because Mayfield and Allen were both available. Would much rather have Mayfiled but Arizona took him. Got Allen at 26. 17. While I would love this I would wonder why we didn’t trade up even a little to get him just to be sure no one else does. Or Miami at 11 Don’t get too attached to the picks.
  18. That article above says he averaged 184 starting for the bengals with better receivers
  19. Just think, we could get so many starters! No other team in the league would have as many starters as us. We could draft a wr, dt, cb that will definitely be better than Watkins, Dareus, and Darby. All those players you name name sound great until a few years from now when more than half are just average players or out of the league. Look back at past drafts. Our glut of picks is there to move up for a Qb. Plain and simple. He may or may not be a bust, but I’m sick of mediocrity and not trying for a top rated prospect at the most important position in sports.
  20. Those that aren't concerned about the future of the QB position for this team are just wrong. I'm sick of hearing about all of our picks and how they will all be "starters"
  21. You answered your own question. Someone else could trade up ahead of the bills and leave them with no options. Sound familiar? This team’s fate for the next 15 years may have been sealed by overachieving last year. I predict we won’t be looking back at last year’s playoff run fondly very soon. But hey we got to kick a field goal in January!
  22. Tampa wanted him. They need a DE. 12 and Lawson for 7
  23. If the bills only trade up to 4 they will get the 4th qb off the board. 1. Cle - Qb 2. Den - Qb 3. NYj - Qb 4. Buf -Qb 5. NYG - Barkley or Chubb 6 . IND - Barkley or Chubb
