  1. Last season at this time we had ppl saying Peterman was going to lead us to the playoffs. How did Josh look at the same time? Bengals game ring a bell? Clearly preseason doesn’t matter AT ALL. I agree Jackson looks bad, but it’s a huge jump from the MAC to even 3rd string NFL. We have an extra spot on the PS this year for Wade anyway. Maybe if someone has a better option I’m all ears.
  2. What about player(s) like McCoy/Nsekhe/Zay and a conditional 2nd that turns into a 1st if he is re-signed? I feel like the players aren't missed since they're older and/or redundant and losing the pick hurts just enough to make sense for me. If Cowney walks in free agency you basically swap a 2nd for a 3rd for one year of Clowney (without going into franchise tag options). If he stays, a huge need would be filled. The 1st round pick would probably be used on a pass rusher anyway. You never know how that player will turn out and how long it will take them to reach their prime. Clowney is more of a sure thing. As for the salary difference, it doesn't matter much since Buffalo has plenty of space for the next couple of years. Hopefully Clowney's new deal would be front loaded, leaving more cap space to re-sign Allen/Edmunds/White. However, even with a big salary for Clowney there will be plenty of cap space to sign everyone.
  3. The premise of a Clowney trade is that the price will be lower because he can't sign an extension. There's also the possibility of putting conditions on the draft pick which minimizes the risk.
  4. If they’re drafting a QB in 2021 Beane won’t be the one making that selection. At least I would hope not.
  5. How is Zay, McCoy, and a 3rd a bad deal? Its probably still too low, but it’s great value for even just one year of Clowney. and that’s before you consider the possibility of getting a 3rd rd comp pick if he does leave.
  6. Thanks for your predictive ad hominem attack. ? I was deployed with a colts fan the year Peyton got injured so it’s a sore spot.
  7. Huh? They’ll probably get Lawrence while we are still arguing about Allan’s completion. %
  8. Yes he is. McDermott would never risk t white health or someone else. He’s smart.
  9. Got me there. You’re a genius! if Brady gets injured I’m sure he won’t get any criticism.
  10. Yeah they do but there was a thread about whether or not it’s smart to play our starters in preseason. The newest trend is to not play them at all. Not only would the Spaniard not be on the mend but maybe some questions about teller could have been answered.
  11. My theory about the ppl suddenly hating on the Spaniard is that they’re preemptively avoiding criticism of McDermott for losing another interior online starter 2weeks before we play the Jets.
  12. Have you tried to get Clowney for neskhe or Dawkins? It’s impossible. That’s what I thought you meant. Clowney is rated around 95 X factor. I haven’t been able to get close to acquiring him.
  13. This is so stupid. How’s spain? You got info we don’t?
  14. This aged well. How does it feel to watch Spain get carted off and white laying on the field? McDermott deserves the record they’ll have this season.
  15. The season matters. This doesn’t at all. He won’t have that option though if it’s anything serious. If Spain misses week 1 we have nobodies against Quinnen and Leonard Williams.
  16. This coach is going to just watch starter after starter get injured and not do anything? It’s his funeral I guess.
  17. We are risking the health of our starters for this. I don’t care that they look bad because preseason doesn’t matter. Josh could’ve injured his head after that shove on the int play.
  18. Can’t wait to see Boettger against the Williams’ week 1
  19. Idk I guess I’ll look it up thanks
