  1. absolutely correct Rush 4 1 guy on each eligible reciever. 1 guy deep to cover tip 1 guy short to cover tip
  2. Watched the end of the Commies game yesterday. That was a terrific play by the QB, but also really bad D by the Bears. I’ve been a Bills fan since the late 60s, but don’t remember a single game won by Hail Mary. I might have missed one in the pre internet days when it was harder to follow out of town teams.
  3. In retrospect, the 1 spot drop which got us a 5 for 6 swap may not have been a great deal, cause we don’t get the 5th yr option on Coleman now. As an aside, I watched a bit of Legette yesterday. He doesn’t have nearly as much polish as Coleman.
  4. Good thing Jerry Hughes wasn’t on the field when this happened or he’d have gotten flagged.
  5. I’m thinking that our WR room got quietly better today.
  6. Doesn’t matter who the player is. Non contact knees that buckle like that are either ACL or medial meniscus injuries.
  7. Geno threw that into a tub of goo and it stuck.
  8. Is that true? I thought that once you started taking social security you were practice squad ineligible
  9. So, if these numbers are true, you are saying that, on average, small LB are better than bigger LBs.
  10. I’m not debating whether the rugby evaluation is better than the NFL But the idea that it is better because it’s longer is just silly. if it takes you 10 minutes to scan 15 items in a self checkout line, and it takes me 3 minutes, are you doing a better job of scanning?
  11. Do we get comp picks for this hire?
  12. Of course it’s a conflict of interest. It’s just like a judge who has been given $250,000+ in gifts deciding a case that the gifter was involved in. This isn’t a question. It’s crystal clear that it’s a conflict.
  13. This is the answer: "And then even if through some crazy stroke of uncharacteristic actions of Beane and other GM's, we were able to pull this off - we wouldn't have Cole Bishop, DeWayne Carter, Ray Davis, and Sedrick Van Pran-Granger for sure (probably others as well). Plus, whomever we'll end up taking with the myriad of 2025 picks we'd need to use wouldn't be here next year either. And on top of that, with us moving so many picks to get BTJ and Coleman, ain't no way we'd be giving up a 3rd (if we even had one) to acquire Amari Cooper." So tired of hearing we should have traded up for BTJ or Odnuze etc.
  14. Footnote on '04. Bills and Steelers had the same record; Steelers chose before Bills based on strength (weakness) of schedule. Bills wanted to draft Roethlisberger, but Steelers nabbed him. Bills came away with the Adam Sandler lookalike.
  15. I’m not sure I believe that story; I’d like to look at the details. did the players start in a sprinters stance? Or were they standing up? Or did the have a running start? Why did they use the combine 40 instead of running a no ball 40 on the same track? It just doesn’t make sense.
  16. To be clear, I’m pretty sure that Bills control their own destiny irrespective of other games. Pretty sure that Bills will be 1 seed if they go 15-2. Gotta agree with this. Benford and Douglas have average speed. Elam has above average speed, but doesn’t play. All the others, including Taron, are below average.
  17. Wait. You’re going to an Alice Coopeqr concert that starts at 1 pm? Does he have to be done so he can get to the early bird at Dennys? Guess he s not 18 anymore. But maybe he likes it.
  18. Disagree. its easier to learn a defense than it is to gain foot speed.
  19. Wait. Isn’t McNulty the dude from The Wire? Great show.
  20. ?? Call me crazy, but I’d much rather have Cooper defend a Hail Mary than Hamlin. Cooper knows how to track and high point a ball.
  21. Got it. you’d rather have Basham and Ford here for rent controlled deals.
  22. The nfl is a $20 billion / year business. There is no excuse for this type of incompetence. Pay the officials $500,000/yr, and make them full time. Then fire the 10% poorest grading officials each year. Give the 10% best grading officials a $100000 bonus. This would cost maybev%75 million per year. Less than 0.4. % of nfl revenues.
  23. Yeah, but those are legit penalties. Not blocking too hard. Or re-setting during an audible. Or tackling a QB with the number 8. Or saying mean words a to an official. Or unknown happenings between periods.
  24. Good win. 1. That was the poorest officiating I have ever seen. College or nfl. Just atrocious imaginary penalties. I never want to see these clowns again. 2. I don’t like the Bills 10 man defense. Seriously, Hamlin may as well be playing in Cheektowaga.
  25. I’m thinking that no one’s happier to see 9 in the guardian cap than Taron Johnson.
