  1. Could be interesting. Personally, I'd rather see Tyrod move forward with players he has chemistry with. I think that is something that is so overlooked. We could trade for Antonio Brown, that doesn't mean he and Tyrod would click midway through the season. There's a reason these guys go through camp, timing/chemistry is perhaps more important than raw talent. Holmes seems to have found some chemistry with Tyrod making some really nice plays against Oakland and Zay made some nice catches as well on limited targets. Why not give them a chance to keep improving their chemistry as an offense. I don't think a move like this will make too much sense at this point in the year.
  2. Buffalo doesn't throw the ball enough to warrant grabbing a wide receiver paid over 10 mill a year. Plus, he has no chemistry with our QB. It just doesn't fit what we are trying to do here. There's a reason we are paying a RB 10 mill plus, we are a run first team. Don't waste that cap on a wide receiver, use it somewhere that will benefit the team more.
  3. Don't know how this thread about acquiring a back in the offseason to help Mccoy's career turned into trading for a back before the deadline but I guess I shouldn't be surprised
  4. Have you seen what he's done this year? He hasn't made a big impact. 0 tds, rushing for 3.4 yds per carry, doesn't pose a threat as a pass-catcher...can easily be replaced and be outplayed
  5. Not so sure Ajayi leaving is a bad thing for Miami. He had some really good games but if you really watch, he hasn't played well in a lot of them. We shall see
  6. I never said for this season in my post. I said we should address it in the offseason in the draft. Moving forward, with Mccoy's age and durability issues, finding a guy that can carry more of the load is ideal
  7. Kelvin Benjamin was a 1st round pick. I think this is the type of wide out they want. Big body who can go up and snag a not so great pass over a defender
  8. I don't quite understand the idea that we must be dominant in the passing game to get to the super bowl. Carolina, the last Denver team, Seattle...and so on have all been in the super bowl lately with run first offenses and dominant defenses. That's the mold of this team. San Fran was the same way a few years ago too and all their QBs did was run and not turn the ball over. Someone help me understand why we need a QB that throws for 300 yards a game? The league may have more passing teams in it but that doesn't mean run first/defensive teams can't win. They've done it throughout history and continue to do it now. Denver did it with a QB that was one hit away from breaking his neck and could barely throw the ball with any velocity. Why must we replace Tyrod? I have yet to hear a good answer to this.
  9. Actually, over 10 mill for the next three years is doing just that with the cap we have. The offense is doing just fine now, the team has scored 30 points the last two games. Am I missing something? We don't need top flight wide outs with big salaries for the type of offense we run which has been productive and improving as the season goes on.
  10. I don't understand how this isn't obvious with all the moves they made this year so far? He doesn't fit the character standard, move on
  11. There won't be enough reps to go around. 1 is enough, we still have Peterman developing
  12. I get we have drafted running backs in the past but I fully expect them to take one in the first 3 rounds. But they need help on the dline most of all in my opinion and based on his history with Carolina, I think McDermott would agree. Make a beast front 7 to go along with the nice secondary
  13. I think they draft one for the offseason, don't see them trading for one. If an injury occurs...i'm still excited about the direction of this team.
  14. If the players continue to develop and get better...the best we've had in a while. We could potentially have a lockdown corner, a slot wide out (think Zay just needs a little time to develop), a solid outside linebacker who can cover, a RT, and a backup QB. Nice draft. Three rooks starting right now and Dawkins has started a few games and provided nice depth. I'd say that's a win. Can't wait to see what they do with next year's draft
  15. I think it depends on if Jordan Mathews stays but with Zay progressing we will have two solid wideouts and a couple of nice pass catching tight ends with a shady in the backfield. Maybe adding one more wide out to that but I'm not even sure a 1st round pick is required. That is if Mathews stays. Wide receiver seems to be deep in this class. But see if Dawkins can play RT and go get a RG in the first or second round. Love me some Will Hernendez from UTEP. Powerful, mean SOB. Linebacker and the D-line are big needs. Hasn't been a lot of pass rush, plus we are aging all across the line. I think a running back in the second or third round will be taken as a running mate/eventual replacement to Shady. If Gaines doesn't stay, a second corner. I like Leonard Johnson as our third corner. 1st DL 1st G 2nd LB 2nd WR 3rd RB 3rd CB 4th OL depth 5th DL depth With an aging Oline and Dline, these should be first priority in my opinion
  16. If Tyrod continues to play at a high level, I don't think they will draft a QB and if they do not in the first round. I have been in that boat from day 1 this year but Tyrod has me feeling confident in his abilities moving forward. Give him some more weapons and better protection...who knows?
  17. Everyone saying it's Glenn, I disagree. I think he played a roll but the changes that Dennison has clearly made has been the difference. The 48 yard rumble had Ducasse pulling from the right side, something out of last year's playbook. The coaching adjustments have returned the run game to it's form of the last few years.
  18. I don't think they will move him. I think they are just seeing how much they could get for him on the market. I believe he'll stay a Bill
  19. A new coach yes but a completely new regime...no. I'd say they've done a nice job of it. Gotta have the players buy into the system, not the other way around.
  20. Okay but he put himself in good position to make those plays and didn't notice him being beaten for a big play in the game. A fifth round rookie who has 19 tackles an int, ff and fumble recovery for a touchdown...i'd say he's doing pretty darn good
  21. I agree, nothing against Tolbert. He has played well but I think we need a number 2 back that will eventually take over as our 1 in a few years. He just isn't that.
  22. He has gotten rid of players that don't fit the scheme. Finding players to fit the scheme is what every GM is supposed to do. In the process of getting rid of those players, he has gained cap space and draft picks. Every GM has to make hard decisions but Dareus was more destructive in this building than anything, same with Sammy. Darby is a press one on one corner, doesn't fit the scheme. If they don't fit, they won't be here. Plain and simple.
