  1. You could make the argument to just kick it through the end zone, but I understand what the Bills were doing. It worked for the most part save the last return.
  2. Time will tell and I appreciate your point of view. I think the facemask was not called because it wasn't an impediment and the pass was pretty much uncatchable. Meyers is a a good player, but you guys are still severely lacking in weaponry. Doesn't seem the Henry/Smith combo is quite as good as hyped either. Go Bills!
  3. I understand the reasons for not flexing games year round, but this matchup should make the NFL rethink its policy
  4. Have to take issue here. Dallas scored on the 3rd down before the Prescott fumble and amassed over 100 yards in penalties, so the Pats were definitely not hosed lol. Jones looks decent, but the main concern coming out was his upside. I believe that remains the case. Borne and Meyers are not quality wideouts even as secondary options - I think Jacobi is at best a strong WR3. I feel like the roles are reversed and Pats fans are in a position that was all too familiar to Bills supporters - convincing yourself that the personnel on your team is better than it really is.
  5. I agree with you. These things tend not to encourage progress in cooperative deal-making but stifle it. Hope I am wrong but I fear the repercussions if a vocal minority is able to control the narrative and influence public perception.
  6. I'd prefer the Chargers over Baltimore but honestly believe LAC is the bigger threat to home field given both teams schedules. Baltimore still has all 6 games to play in the division, plus matchups against GB and the Rams. LAC's schedule by comparison looks relatively easy, with a KC rematch arguably the toughest remaining game. So, go Ravens
  7. Jeff Posey or Mark Anderson hands down. Real impact players!
  8. Lamar played great, but I can't believe how soft the Colts were towards the end of the game. It was honestly pathetic despite them being shorthanded. What happened to the aggression that slowed him down for 2 1/2 quarters? Also lost in the outcome was Wentz of all people threw for 402 yards. Not much defense was being played on either side including the vaunted Baltimore unit.
  9. It's pretty amazing how the game turned on David Culley's decision making. He seems out of his depth
  10. Remember how excited everyone was after the comeback against Carolina? You couldn't find an E.J. jersey in town to save your life lol. We've come a long way
  11. Geno is so bad I would rather have Kelly Stouffer, Dan McGwire, or Rick Mirer
  12. To be honest I don't disagree too much and I do get what you're saying. I'm just skeptical that these sorts of proceedings won't lead to public acrimony and have a negative effect on negotiations. At some point when you go this route, won't there be a demand for a referendum? If so I believe that would seriously jeopardize the future of the team. It certainly has for other cities in this situation. Anyhow, just hope they get it done sooner rather than later so us fans can point our focus squarely at what is happening on the field. And indeed, go Bills!
  13. I understand how civics work lol. But there are much larger expenditures at pretty much every level of government where no one is demanding public hearings and transparency. Hell, most people have no idea where their money is going but for some reason when it comes to a football stadium everyone's ears perk up. It's really a selective concern, and when you factor in the impact on the average taxpayer over the life of a potential deal, the discussion doesn't seem quite so notable. Whatever happens, the average person will barely notice that anything has changed with their finances.
  14. I certainly hope you're right. It seems to me that other places have done stuff like this and it hasn't always been helpful. I'm kinda wondering whether there will be some calls for a referendum. Bottom line is it would be a great relief if the community can finally bury this issue and secure the future of the team once and for all.
  15. Great. Then all the whiny, small-minded, obstructionist sorts whose stock answer to everything is no while at the same time championing stuff like bird migratory patterns can begin to build consensus against this project. Maybe it's just a few local grandstanders, but I can't help but feel that this isn't a positive development for the stadium talks. Isn't the reason we elect politicians in the first place because they are supposed to make decisions on the public's behalf?
  16. As others have mentioned, the Bills could be in REALLY good shape with a win here. I see 5 contenders for the No. 1 seed - us, CLE, BAL, KC, and LAC. All of the competition have MUCH more difficult schedules than we do. Buffalo could really be in a position to control their own destiny with a victory Sunday night. Of course, this also says the game is at least as meaningful to the Chiefs as it is to us.
  17. Agree 100% but he looks a guy that should be on a Nickelodeon show
  18. Thanks for the concern. Logic isn't your strong suit but you do you.
  19. Well you showed me. Any more sports wisdom you care to educate me with?
  20. If you think either team was impressive in that game you're the fool bro
  21. Outstanding job! I can almost taste the tears in their clam chowder
  22. I remember watching First Take (yeah I know I'm stupid) and both Kellerman and Smith picking the Pats as division frontrunners lol
