  1. If you call them or do a chat, you will be given a $15 credit applied to next month's bill. I did a chat since their auto attendant is exactly what House quoted.
  2. He was fine in his time. Today, you cannot sit back on these new QBs. They will pick you apart.
  3. It's what George Bernard Shaw said: "Those who can, do; those who cannot, teach." And...they teach those who can.
  4. That Bucs defense beat Mahomes in the SB! Remember half of his starting oline was out IIRC. Plus...you're talking about one game. You've got to play 17 and win most of them to even get to the SB.
  5. The level of competition in the AFC is so much better today than when Brady was in his prime. There's a reason he bolted for the NFC when he left the Pats. All the great QBs are in the AFC.
  6. That's a nice feature. Unfortunately, You Tube doesn't offer some key channels for me. I cut the cord on cable a few years ago, but stuck with the Spectrum app and stream it. There are plenty of good games on other than ESPN stations. We'll see how this episode plays out.
  7. This is a fun game! And Gus Johnson to boot!
  8. Watching the Colorado at TCU game on Fox. Great game! Currently 24-21 in the 3rd. Sanders has Colorado playing well. So...who needs ESPN this weekend?
  9. Just contacted Spectrum via chat. (I hate there auto attendant on phone.) There is a one time $15 credit they are offering to placate customers while negotiations continue. I saw a report on CNBC as they were discussing Disney's stock price dropping, that Charter was planning on the cost of credits to their customers. So...if you haven't already switched and can be a bit patient, give Spectrum a shout and get the credit.
  10. And that's the whole point when it comes to drafting for the oline. Top Tackles are drafted very high in the first round. IOL are devalued and usually start coming off the board in the second round. I was thrilled that Torrence lasted as long as he did as he was ranked as a late first round talent. Beane always drafts for value, although we question why certain players are valued as high as they are by the Bills...particularly in the 3rd round. I'm neither a scout nor a GM, so who am I to question?
  11. IOL players are generally devalued though and not drafted in the first round. Creed Humphrey was drafted in the second round as was Ocyrus Torrence this year. You rarely see an IOL ranked in the first round. I think Torrence was ranked that way this year, and lasted well into the second round.
  12. In truth, where the Bills have been picking, the value hasn't been there late in the first round for O line help. First round talent on the o line is usually gone in the first 10 to 12 picks.
  13. Back Water is right. That discussion centered on how Josh can't rely on film during the game planning/practice process. He mentioned for example, that he would see something on film and expect the rush to come from the right, when in actuality, because teams play the Bills differently, the exact opposite could occur.
  14. I stand corrected. It appears that the theme parks and resorts drove revenue this quarter. Charter is also making money. So I have no sympathy or patience for either of them.
  15. They both lose. Neither side is blameless in this. Having said that, Disney has stretched itself too thin, losing money on their myriad projects. They want to make it up in TV revenue. Charter loses credibility when they constantly raise rates of the consumers, so their arguments also wear thin. I'm p'od at them both.
  16. I'm not so much worried about the Bills game since I'm a local. However, I am a huge college football fan and this skirmish between Spectrum and Disney is ruining my bliss. I spent a good part of my morning and afternoon putting together a spreadsheet with all the Streaming services and their channel line ups to see what I would miss if I switch from Spectrum and move to another service. No service gives me everything I got with Spectrum. The closest is Direct TV streaming, but there are tradeoffs with every service. In addition to the sports channels, I love the History channel and locally MSG where I watch One Bills Live and an occasional Sabres game. MSG is only available on Fubo and Direct TV...but I could just listen to it on WGR radio. History channel I found is available along with a number of other channels on a service called FRNDLY TV for only $6.99 per month...so I could work around it's absence on Fubo and YouTube. My point is that this exercise simply makes you think about your TV viewing habits and opens your thought pattern to other options should push come to shove. In doing that, platforms like Spectrum run the risk of folks realizing they could easily bail and go elsewhere, especially since they have eliminated much of the bundles of the past. Disney likely won't lose customers if they transfer to other platforms, but some may also think twice and just do without. The longer this dispute goes on, the more one sees how much they miss the Disney and ESPN channels. College football is on more than just ESPN. Last night, I watched on Fox, CBS Sports, and PAC12 and watched some pretty good football.
  17. If you're using your ESPN plus login it won't be blacked out. If you normally login using Spectrum as your TV provider, you won't have access.
  18. I was watching the NC state v UCONN game on CBSSports and switched to ESPN for Florida v Utah only to find a blank screen. It took a few minutes to realize it was a Spectrum Disney dispute that impacts a lot of channels I watch on Spectrum. Coming at the beginning of college football season really bites. Spectrum just raised prices too. Both Disney and Spectrum are to blame with us customers caught in the crosshairs. Hopefully it will get resolved soon. Either way Spectrum will raise our prices, as will all the streaming services. So for tonight, I'm between CBSS and Fox (which is showing Nebraska v Minnesota).
  19. He still has to take his physical with the team. Beane mentioned he is coming.
  20. DJ Dale was not on the confirmed Bills list. I think he was reported in error.
  21. I think we also have to take into account where the Bills draft relative to these top ten picks. The Bills draft in the 20's when many of the "sure fire" picks are long gone.
  22. They aren't exactly in midseason form when it comes to website updates.
  23. Yes. It must have been a reporting error. We signed Vickers to the PS not DJ Dale. Both are DTs. I was surprised when I saw Dales over Vickers. Vickers had a better camp from what I understand. So...we officially have 14 on the PS with 2 vacancies. One for Kirksey and the other for the QB.
