  1. I actually totally agree Hap. Even though the flags killed the Rams, it was Goff's ineptitude and McVay being outcoached that were the main reason the Rams lost. The only side of the ball that was prepared on the Rams was the defense...and even then they couldn't contain Edelman. I also think the Rams were not as explosive as a team this year when they lost Kupp. That's why I really didn't care that NE won...as much as I hate them. They were beatable yesterday, had the right team played them. The Superbowl would have been better game wise, IMO, had either the Saints played the Pats or the Chiefs played the Rams. In the former...two experienced QBs and HCs and in the latter, two inexperienced QBs.
  2. Same one you watched...but having commented on the flags, the main reason the Rams lost was Goff was horrible and McVay was outcoached.
  3. Yes...and if Norwood's kick is good, it's a totally different narrative.
  4. Exactly! If he's still on the Bill's he's flagged for his "stellar play."
  5. It just seemed like any time the Rams got something going...a flag was thrown.
  6. I appreciate defense as well, but this game was frustrating to watch.
  7. Would have been a better game had it been the Chiefs. Would have seen more offense for both teams.
  8. This makes a lot of sense. For those that argue that the defense needs to make a stop...both defenses yesterday were giving up points, particularly in the 4th qtr. NE should have stopped KC from getting into field goal range with 39 seconds left to tie the game. So it came down to a coin flip as to whose offense got to touch the ball first. The same argument would apply if KC had won the toss and scored and NE didn't get to try to match it. A coin flip decided the game.
  9. I actually am not watching. Every time I turn the game on it's negative for KC, so I'm following the game on this thread and watching the National Geographic channel. So hopefully the cheers for KC continue.
  10. He'll never retire. He's like Rasputin or herpes. He'll never go away!
  11. When will they learn to jam Edelman at the line?!
  12. I had a colleague in Seattle. I saw him at a conference and told him his team got hosed in that game. He thought only Seahawk fans thought that. Nope...any true fan of the sport felt that way.
  13. I hope! Not that I was ANTI-NO. I'm anti-Pats.
  14. That means the Pats would be favored as well. Bigger market.
  15. That should have been a flag. Helen Keller would have seen that.
  16. Joyner had his eyes on the ball, forgetting Ginn can occasionally catch the ball.
  17. No....you've seen evidence of various crews taking over games. I guess it comes down to the idea "you could throw a flag on every play." Sadly, some crews take that literally.
  18. Nice jam on Kamara. The Chiefs need to do that against the Pat's. Messes up Brady's timing.
  19. Saints have been holding as well. Apparently the refs are letting it go.
  20. Gosh that interview with Brady! "I know everyone says we suck. We can't win." No, Tom, it's not that anyone believes you "can't win." You just suck...period, end of statement. I hate his false humility.
  21. Exactly. He's using the same D he used last week against the Ravens. Trouble is this week's QB can pass.
