My thoughts on the Allen pick: When I look at what Brandon Beane has done during his tenure as GM of the Bills I see a man who has calculated his moves very carefully. He does not strike me as the type of guy who is impulsive or prone to suggestion when making personnel decisions. That being said the real takeaway for me is that while there are a good many Bills fans on this board who are having temper tantrums and stomping their feet and basically carrying on like a bunch of pre-schoolers who missed nap time. A good man with no malice in his heart did what he thought was best for the team he manages. While some of you didn't like this pick you have to remember that Beane has staked his reputation and possibly even his job on this pick. This is real life for him and for most of us it's an opportunity to drink beer and be entertained for 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon.

I agree. I think the hate makes it easy for some people. If he fails they can say I told you so and if he succeeds they'll be cheering him on with the rest of us.

The Jets changed the math on trades after what they paid to move from 6 to 3. The old draft value chart probably doesn't mean much anymore. Just gets you in the ballpark.

Whomever the Bills end up taking I think it will take at least a couple of years to determine their worth to the organization. As I have said before, my preference is Rosen but that certainly doesn't mean he'll be the best pro out of this bunch. Time will tell. Or maybe not, we've got guys on this board still arguing whether Flutie sucked or not 20 years later.

I met him once and he told me that this is how his family shows affection.

I want the Bills to draft Rosen too but to say he's the only answer to our QB problems in pure hyperbole.
