Does truth exist??
Yobogoya! replied to Joe Ferguson forever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Buddy I'm all about objective reasoning, to the extent we mere mortals are capable of it. Personally I'm of the belief that subjective bias makes absolute truth almost impossible- so all we can do is to strive to be as close as we can. But if the last 10+ years have taught me anything- it's that most of mainstream academia, news media and the medical-industrial complex certainly doesn't hold themselves to that standard anymore (if they ever did?). If you think you're going to find that standard on a random football message board, I don't know what to tell you. But if you'd like to get the ball rolling, by all means... show us the way. -

Damn, Joe Fergy asking the real questions! Didn't expect we'd be getting all existential on this random hump day on the PPP board. Am I a butterfly dreaming I'm a man? Or a bowling ball dreaming I'm a plate of sashimi? -
Odds Jimmie Kimel gives a unifying monologue tomorrow:

Truly it was one of the moments of all time. -
It probably helps a little bit that the Lions have some serious talent on that side of the ball- but it was fun watching his defense get after Lamar last night for sure. Worth noting that they're currently bottom-10 in points allowed. Be interesting to see how they progress throughout the year.

Do not take medical advice from Donald Trump.
Yobogoya! replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In a vacuum, when it comes to exaggerated rhetoric from both sides? No, it's not ok with me. But none of the political elite in this country are asking my permission before they speak, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make lol. -

That’s politics in America today, buddy. Don’t act like it isn’t both sides. -

I mean who you trust or don't trust is your prerogative, just as it is for any of us. Ultimately the Harvard report was recommending "judicious" use of tylenol during pregnancy- ie, lowest effective dose. It's about risk/benefit. You find these warnings for pregnant women on pretty much everything these days. I think people are reading way too much into this, because- well because Trump is Trump and can't help but go "bull in a china shop" no matter what he's saying, lol. -

Probably because the Harvard report which is the basis for this announcement was published a month ago, and the FDA concluded their review of it just now? People are acting like Trump concocted this announcement himself, but he's essentially just informing the public about the results of a completely independent study. Which is what RFKjr said he would do: be transparent about information that's pertinent to public health. Ultimately you and your loved will make your own decision about whether to take tylenol when you're pregnant, but this is really just going to amount to an updated warning label. That's it. -

KC is playing as brutal as I’ve ever seen them, but the Giants seem desperate to out-suck them in this one.

I could understand not wanting to throw the kid to the wolves against a Spagnuolo defense in prime time, especially cold off the bench. They’re destined to lose this one either way.

The number of defensive players who let Mahomes clown them is annoyingly high lol

Falcons release Younghoe Koo, then thank him on Social Media

Can we at least take a moment to appreciate that this is probably the most gangsta photo of an NFL kicker ever? Dude looks suave as hell, fr fr -

Jimmy Kimmel Canceled
Yobogoya! replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Kimmel got the axe because he wasn't making the network any money, and thus is no longer worth the network's trouble. Plenty of people are still on TV right now criticizing Trump, MAGA, etc. There's still plenty of drivel for you to hate-watch if you're so inclined. Nothing to worry about. -
Poyer and Hyde were Whaley. Brown and Bease were Beane’s first free agent class, and definitely still among his best pickups.

The league knew he was contracted with Fox when they voted unanimously to approve his partial buy-in of the Raiders. If they didn't like it, that would probably have been the right time to do something about it.

The graph in that link shows median used car prices over the five year time span. The average used car price went up $10k during that initial boom. Now that’s an average. You’d have to break down by year, make model and average mileage to have a specific discussion about individual unit types. But my generalization that $5k cars rose in price and became $10k cars isn’t contradicted by your data. If anything, it means $5k cars actually became $15k cars- an even bigger price jump. Not sure you’re intent to die on this hill. Just take the loss and move on, dude.
