    Not for nothing, but that’s the type of attitude that gives a team no chance to do what the Chiefs have done in like 10 of their 12 wins this season. The Chiefs would have not only fielded 11 players and tried hard for the block — this year, they’d have probably got it, too.

    I like your thinking, but this staff has problems with normal game flow, challenges, and end of game organization. What you’re proposing would be like jumping into 5d chess for them. Should probably get the hang of the easy stuff first.

    While we're on the subject of special teams, is it me or was that onside kick attempt just pathetic-looking? Like, I know it's a super low percentage play but that kick was a duck that had no shot whatsoever. Just low-lobbed it right to the Rams. Between that and the non-punt-block, you have to wonder if we even practice this stuff.

    Do you think we would have stopped them on the impending drive after we punted? The rest of the game doesn’t make that seem like a likely prospect.

    Contrast this with the way KC goes down swinging until the very last gasp — which has literally won them several games this year. Can’t even hate at this point, some teams get it and some just don’t.

    I mean there’s almost no chance Babich has the freedom to retool the defense to his own specifications. This is the same scheme we’ve been running for 8 years, with the same positives and DEFINITELY the same negatives. Somehow these guys have to figure out a way to scheme up pressure. Even our blitzes did nothing today.

    One of my biggest gripes with the McDermott defensive era is that we never seem to game plan for a team’s biggest weapons/ threats. We just line up and do our thing, sometimes adjust in small increments here or there, but we are often reticent to go in with a game plan of taking the biggest weapon away. Contrast that with Belichick’s mantra.

    To be fair, Reid made those types of blunders routinely for more than a decade before they went on their current run. He WAS that guy who always f’ed it up.

    Dude I’m a huge Josh Allen fan and would probably quit football if he left the Bills. I made one small comment that he was (past tense) having a bad game and got called a troll. Sorry if I don’t appreciate that. I’m allowed to call it out when Josh isn’t playing well. That’s not off limits.

    Lol, you need to chill buddy. If your feelings get hurt every time Josh has a bad half of football it’s gonna be tough sledding for years to come.
