I wonder how married the Dolphins are to Tua... They have a top 3 pick... -
A Few Thoughts About the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
MJS replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And they are backups. If you can't beat backups you deserve to get deep balls thrown on you and the score run up on you. Those guys don't get to play a lot and you know they want to put good tape out there of what they can do. I wouldn't change it for anything. -
Round 1 Playoff: Colts at Bills - Sat. 1/9 1:05pm
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Colts are an all around solid team. Good defense all around. Top 10 in passing and points per game. Frank Reich has built a fairly balanced team. But they lack star power and while they do everything well, they don't do anything great. They don't really have and game wreckers on either side of the ball. So I think Bills fans should be confident. And I know the coaches will have the team ready to rock and roll. I just hope the players (especially Allen) don't get too hyped up. I know Allen, at least, plays best when he is calm, cool, and collected. He should have Sinatra on repeat all week. -

With backups for the 2nd half. Just crazy. -

The offense also contributed to that by struggling in the 3rd quarter. But both sides of the ball ironed out the kinks, luckily. -
Is Antonio Williams the best closer we have had since Thurman?

Wait, can't they activate him? -
Truly. And that's a dang good defense they faced.

Week 17 1/3/21 Bills vs. Dolphins 2nd Half Gameday Thread

He sat a bunch of vets and played his starters for only the first half. I'm sure he wants to use the rest of the game to get experience for players who they MIGHT need to use in the playoffs. -

They don't care about the game that much. They are getting guys experience. -

Kind of a weak call. But he did have his arm hooked on that left arm. -

Turn on the TV and watch the game. Other than that I don't have gameday traditions. -

That he did. -
Maybe Shanahan isn't as smart as everyone thinks. Maybe he drank too much of his own kool-aid. To me it's pretty clear. They win a boat load more games with Jimmy G than they do when he is out. But maybe availability is the issue.
-
Time will tell if he is right or wrong. Good QB's can be VERY difficult to find. Jimmy G is good. He isn't elite. He's in the Tannehill category.
-
Career 98.9 passer rating. 67.5% completion percentage. 51 TD's to 26 INT's. 24 wins, only 8 losses as a starter. 6 games with 3 or more passing TD's. Multiple 300 yard games and a couple 400 yard games. The 49ers are a different team when he plays. I think he is a good QB. And I'm unsure of why people don't think that. Is he elite? Probably not. But I think the 49ers are foolish to let him go without someone better to replace him.

He'll get a chance to start somewhere.
