  1. I always rooted for wins during the bad times. Let the draft work itself out. I don't want to root for a team or players who aren't trying to win. And as I see it, the players and coaches are usually trying in these "tanking" teams. Sometimes they are hamstrung by the front office gutting the team of talent, but the players and coaches are wired to win.
  2. I just don't see evidence of McDaniels being a good coach. I'm always skeptical of the coordinators who have a hall of fame QB to carry them. And I am doubly skeptical of NE coaches who leave the nest. They don't seem to find success when they try to recreate the Patriot way elsewhere. I guess Daboll may fall into that category, but he had coaching experience before NE and after, and he certainly does not seem to instill the same kind of culture as Belichick. He works closely with the players and has a very friendly relationship with them (more in line with McDemott's philosophy of brotherly love).
  3. They had a "mutual agreement" to part ways, or at least that was what was reported. But I think Harbaugh disputed that later on. Regardless, he had a fantastic run there and the 49ers were dumb to let him go.
  4. Yeah, nobody should care about that. But Hopkins is clearly bothered by it even though he says repeatedly that he doesn't listen to it and ignores the hate.
  5. Clearly the players he opposes (who are also millennials) are taking exception to it and finding additional motivation. That's the reason it is being talked about. Allen was angry about it and it's obvious he had been talking about it with his teammates. And the Bengals were also unhappy about it. So yeah, it was certainly not as big of a difference in games that people are making it out to be, but still. You don't want to give the opposing team additional motivation unless you are prepared to back it up. And clearly Juju knows it to be disrespectful. He is dancing on another team's logo. I'm sure he isn't an idiot. He knows what that means. He's probably just fulfilling a dare.
  6. Not Harbaugh. Harbaugh took his team to the Superbowl and never had a losing season with the 49ers.
  7. He was a head coach already and that didn't work out.
  8. I think he was just done with the NFL after he got fired without ever having a losing season. He is a bit of a head case and a crazy personality, but he's a really good coach in the NFL. He went 44-19 as head coach of the 49ers. The 49ers hadn't had a winning season in 9 seasons prior to him. He went to the NFC Championship game 3 times and the Superbowl once. He was coach of the year once. Just crazy that the 49ers let him go.
  9. Jim Harbaugh. He has actually seen success as a head coach, and with lackluster QB's to boot.
  10. Could be Isaiah Hodgins in the final game. Wasn't he designated to return from IR?
  11. Well, I meant it for those people who complained about Allen not getting over 60%. It's one more of those boxes that have been checked.
  12. It goes to strength of victory because no one would have a head to head sweep, all three teams would be 10-2 in the conference, and there aren't 4 common opponents. The Bills need like 10 things to happen to boost their strength of victory.
  13. When it is a three way tie that changes, doesn't it? I think Bills would get the 1 seed in that scenario. Edit: Looks like it would need to go to strength of victory. Bills would need the NFC South to lose all their inter-division games except Atlanta vs Kansas City. Bills need Titans to win out. Baltimore needs to lose their remaining games. Colts need to lose one of their games, etc etc. It's an extremely narrow window for 1 seed.
  14. I think White deserves it most. We saw what happened to our defense against the Titans when he was out. His contribution is not always evident in the stats. He is one of the least targeted corners in the league. I know there is a (false) narrative going around that says White isn't playing well this year. I think that's poppycock. Poyer has been playing well and deserves it. But it's hard to get noticed as a safety sometimes. He would have to be leading the league in INT's or something.
  15. He also called in to the post game show with Schopp and Bulldog after the game. It was a great call.
  16. You skipped Allen averaging 60% completion percentage.
  17. Starting to feel like Madden at this point.
  18. I think I'd rather invest in fixing grass than in rehabbing players that cost you millions of dollars a year against the cap. They need to find a solution that isn't slippery.
  19. Why do they always have slippery sidelines? I see guys slip all the time.
  20. They'd go with Barkley. He's the backup and I don't see them taking that opportunity away from him.
  21. Hopefully he goes to the NFC.
  22. His low number of TD's will hurt his chances. Over 30 receivers have more TD's (including TE's).
  23. Goff is Goff. He'll never be an elite QB and putting him in the top 10 is not really accurate. He has the tools to be good, but crumbles ALL the time. Watching him is pretty frustrating. I know a lot of Rams fans don't have much faith in him.
