Strongly disagree. Right now there are 2 QB prospects that are viewed as top prospects in Sanders and Ward. In the teams scheduled to pick top 10 right now, I count SIX that need a shot at a franchise QB (Titans, Browns, Giants, Jets, Raiders and Saints). Now obviously, there are going to be free agent QBs out there (Cousins for instance) that will reduce that number between now and then. But you also have teams like the Colts, Seahawks and Rams that may be in the QB of the future market as well. Either way, supply and demand is a big problem. If the Pats had #1 pick and wanted to move, they would likely have a wide array of offers and not have to slide too far back IMO.

They aren't that far off from being back on the up. They already have a good young QB in place. The most cap space in the league next year. And most important, it's not Belichick making the picks anymore. If they get that #1 pick and turn it into multiple picks and someone like, say Travis Hunter...they would be a really quick turn around. If I were them I would send feelers to possible HC candidates like Ben Johnson to see if they would have interest in coaching up Maye.

Buffalo Joe Andreessen would be my guess.

Yeah, almost in secret that have assembled a squad that has THREE former 1,000 yard WRs, Pacheco and Hunt at RB, not to mention quite possibly the best TE of all time. And an emerging player behind him in Noah Grey. They have a ton of weapons....but we still hear how Mahomes just has nothing to work with.

I think Sunday will play out kinda like you described. Josh very briefly. Mitch til half, maybe a series or two coming out of the half then White the rest of the way. I also think Mitch and White will be in a QB battle for 1 spot next off season. Winner is the backup, loser is cut/traded. I think Buffalo grabs a different (younger) QB for the practice squad.

Actually, Cook and Benford get talked about quite a bit on the broadcast I find. It's that it doesn't translate over to the talking heads during the week. That's who does the majority of the thinking for a lot of fans. Mixon was talked about a lot. He made it. Cook was glossed over because of how great Allen.

Here's the thing. Gruden has already been doing work in the NFL. And I really don't think having toxic people around is the determent to Woody as you may think it is.

Daboll wasn't the first OC of this era. Dennison was and he was fired quickly. Yes, the LBer next to him changer from mainly Milano last year to an inexperienced Dorian Williams this year for a majority of the snaps and a broke down Milano after. The DTs ahead of him have largely the same name on the back of the jersey...but to say Jones and Oliver are playing on the same level as they were last year couldn't be further from the truth. The biggest loss on defense for Bernard IMO isn't from McD to Babich. It's having those two experienced voices standing behind him in Hyde and Poyer getting him to the right call, double checking him. He went from having 2 "big brothers" out there looking out for him to being the big bro.

Actually he already worked with the Saints last off season and installed their offense. I think he's a possibility there as well. Jets love the big splash hire that grabs headlines. Builds off-season excitement. This hire would meet both. There is thought that he's a candidate in what is considered a weak coaching candidate list outside Ben Johnson, Mike Vrabel (who was passed over by everyone already last hiring cycle) and a couple others to lesser extents. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jon-gruden-landing-spots-nfl-teams-eyeing-former-coach-for-2025-openings-per-report/ https://nypost.com/2024/12/31/sports/jon-gruden-coaching-buzz-intensifies-as-teams-do-extensive-homework/

Brandon Beane's timbers are shivering.
-
I think Vrabel would be a solid choice. I don't have confidence that Woody Johnson will make a solid choice. Honestly, I'm betting before it's all said and done, Jon Gruden is the hire. Woody likes splashy names.

Week 18, Bills v. Cheats, PREDICT THE SCORE!
BuffaloBillyG replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pats 26 Bills-14 Trubiski throws a pick 6 before giving way to Mike White in the 2nd half. Bills play with a vanilla gameplan on both sides of the ball. Maye looks spectacular, the Pats lose 1st overall pick and Kraft brings Mayo back for next season -
Agree, but we also need to stop the run in the playoffs especially if we see Henry, Pacheco, Dobbins ect.
-
Hope not. He offers less than nothing against the run.

I'm actually shocked Allen made it with Mahomes, Jackson and Burrow in the AFC too. The Pro Bowl continues to show how meaningless it is when a 13 win team will MULTIPLE national games sends 2 players through the voting process. When all is said and done the QBs from the AFC will end up being guys like AOC, Drake Maye and Bo Nix anyway
-
With this team always expect the unexpected. They will end up calling no one up.

Am I the only one confused as to what we are supposed to do here?
