Dawkins not likely to see many snaps today. Just not enough time to get him game ready from what it sounds. I think we may see him get a few snaps as the "tackle eligible". Wouldn't shock me to see a red zone target.

Fellas, you were saying? Look, it's not what I wanted as well....but I simply raised the thought that perhaps he would be a reserve today. Hasn't practiced in a bit amd likely isn't fully ready to go. He may see some snaps (look for him in the tackle eligible role...perhaps even catching a pass).

As great as it is that Dawkins is back...wouldn't shock me if he's either inactive or dresses but doesn't start. Guy hasn't practiced in a while and may be hard pressed to play next day. McD seems to like to bring players back slowly as well.

What would be really great is if there were I...I don't know...a squad of players. They could practice with the team and get to know the playbook and game plan. They...in an ideal world wouldn't count to the 53 man roster BUT if they were needed they could be called up to the main roster. Maybe somewhere between a dozen and a dozen and a half. Could even have experienced vets there stashed away.

Injury. Ankle. He's had a really odd season this year. Barely practicing due to "illness" or "personal" reasons. Seeing a lot more players across the league get those designations then I can ever remember. Starting to think some players have some lingering COVID after effects and that's the way teams are masking that.

Schwartz is coming off a serious back surgery. Has he healed? Does he want to return to put his body through that? Decastro had an ankle surgery and has said himself his body has just given out. He's retired for all intents and purposes unless his body magically heals. Okung sounds by all reports to be sitting by and waiting for a team to pay him enough to entice him to play. He made about $13M last season. We have no idea, of course, how accurate any of these reports are. You know who probably has access to the facts a bit more? Brandon Beane. So these 3 guys just sitting with bated breath for a phone calls from Orchard Park and willing to play for peanuts...has Beane looked into them? Has he been in contact with their agents? Do they get a say so in if they want to play at all...let alone play in Buffalo for a fraction of their normal cost? Or did you just Google "free agent OL" and pick 3 names you recognized?
