When did sports journalism get so bad
RoyBatty is alive replied to ProcessAccepted's topic in The Stadium Wall
The term "journalism" is long dead. It is now advancing an agenda and yes even in sports. So i made a mistake and heard about how Lamar Jackson "heroically" won the gams on MNF. Not a peep about the goofy be speckled kicker that missed a PAT and field goals but the hero Lamar, now the MVP front runner won it. I can tell most of the times the "take" some blabbering East Coast/West coast egotist is going to take. Now with 24/7 media and widespread free social media, the "truth" or reality is whatever you want to hear. -
I have a feeling Frazier will be Raiders #1 target

I dont think Mark Davis can be confused with a Mensa Member. He had to beg and comically over pay Gruden to join back at the Raiders. Davis is a simple guy, he wanted a huge and splashy move to prove his is not "the man". He wanted to relive the glory days of the Raiders hence bring back Chuckie. The Mayock hire was even worse. Having said that, Davis is not a functional idiot (although you cant tell my his appearance, you think he could afford a better haircut) I think the hire will almost assuredly be an AA after the idiocy of what the Raiders are going through now. -

Brady is absurdly young, he just turned 32 and NFL HC imo would be way over his head. He rode the coattails of Joe Burrow at LSU and not much beyond that. Besides they are not going to hire a super you inexperienced white male when you have qualified AA coaches available. The Raiders post Gruden debacle have to be politically correct. -
Well we had some luck last night as well so this "beat down" was not nearly dramatic as one would think with the score. We got 7 right off the top instead of a completion ball off KCs hand right into the arms of Hyde. We also received a questionable roughing the passer which negated a JAllen int. Then we got the kickoff fumble recovery (thanks to Siran Neal heads up-pun intended-play). Take away the TD int, there were two possessions we were "lucky" to get and we won a two possession game (again taking out the pick six)., Yes we beat them put but as with every game, luck was on our side and we created a lot of our own luck.. It is amazing the "new Bills", those plays I mentioned are exactly the type the Bills use to almost always lose on.

Any given Sunday. Lets be honest, we lost to the Steelers at home.

Interesting list. And that list was for ALL rookies, not just Defense. You are right about the Micah Parsons narrative, especially a player at Dallas. Media so wants something great to happen for the Cowboys. There is little to no way Creed gets rookie of the year, now with the eye popping plays of people like Rosseau, Micah Parsons of Jamarr Chase. A Center has no shot at it.

Is Mahomes regressing?? (Sarcasm)
RoyBatty is alive replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Also, to be fair, I think some of those were throwaways. He didnt look like the "unstoppable" never give up on a play Mahomes as he has in the past. -

I think they can lose a lot more. They have five games they would be underdogs in right now remaining: at Cinci, at the the Chargers, at the Titans, Dallas and Green Bay. Plus they have two games left versus the Raiders. I think KC is 50/50 to make the Playoffs, -
A few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game, in no particular order
RoyBatty is alive replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
On the bomb to Diggs, under little pressure, Allen didn't have his feet base set and he underthrow the ball to Diggs. Diggs had to slow down just enough to allow the DB to catch him. Had Allen with his rocket arm had gotten the ball there on time I think the was an easy TD. -
Barkley has been gone way to lone, sure he can give some insight to the Titans but nothing extraordinary imo.

This exemplifies that anything Bills related will be watched ad nauseam here.

They are but the injuries need to be material so if a team wants to hide a "reasonable minor injury " they can do it. Did we ever report J Allen last year when he was hurt at the start of the season? Teams would rather not report some injuries, just give the opposition a reason to target the injury. Oh and keep the gambles guessing.

My top 5 keys to winning on SNF
RoyBatty is alive replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is and they have been disappointed in his lack of productivity so don't be shocked if they move out to the inside although he dropped from 310 to 292 so might not be to easy a transition or jut move him on the line keep bills guessing. -
Panthers trade for Stephon Gilmore

That is going to be the deal maker/breaker if Darnold keeps his play up. -
Bills/Texans All-22 Review - The Athletic
RoyBatty is alive replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
What this exemplifies is the NFL is a game of match ups. One week Rousseau and Epenesa look like future all pros, the next they are at the Bottom of the list. Same with Beasley who what had 11 catches the prior week? -
Tremaine Edmunds is always an easy target as are Star and Cody ford.

Baldy effusive over Josh Allen
RoyBatty is alive replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True but he has had some fumbling issues. I always pay attention to QB hand size, one of the most prolific fumblers in the NFL was Dave Kreig who had a very small hand. -
